And right behind Akeno was the last devil, leaping down from the perch they had stood. How horrible it was to be in this area, where love was truly dead and gone. But, right now there was no time for tears; horrible as it was, most of these fallen ones were not among his God's worshipers or counted among his allies.[break] Right now, the gameplan was making sure these three didn't die... not that Rex needed much help on that end; just what WAS that massive thing? If it wasn't for the threads he honestly wouldn't have guessed Rex was there. Maybe he was compensating for something? That seemed like a very Rex thing to do.[break] Raynauld kept step with Akeno as she headed towards Drakka and Rex, deciding not to mention out loud that Drakka's thread had nearly winked out. Falling back on his prime weapon - the Fated Pair - he prepared himself to jump in front of Akeno at any time should the need arise. The only acknowledgement any other Player recieved was Catharsis, Raynauld giving that man a nod as they approached his position.[break] Summary: Raynauld follows akeno to protect her in her mad dash to their allies kingrex and drakka , with a disparaging thought or three for the former. He acknowledges catharsis too, if nothing else. Hard mode is off, you've gotten enough death today, I should think.

The ache started to fade away and his single digit health points rocketed upwards. He was confused momentarily, knowing he wasn't casting any self heals, before he turned to see a support player coming towards them. Seeing Towns's health back to almost full, he healed himself and started waiting the longer cooldown out. "Y-Yeah. Sure." Getting out was the only logical course of action they should be taking given the situation. The ranged dps was out of commission and the battered tank was not healthy nor tanky enough to be eating up attacks.
Before they could carry him to safety, Towns had somehow recovered and stood up. He left both of them with nothing but a pat on Index and started firing rounds onto the raid boss. Now freed up to do whatever he wanted, the paladin took one quick look and assessed the situation. He, too, had almost been knocked out and had lost his bearings on the battlefield. It was only then that he realized that Cosimia wasn't the only one to die, watching figures whose names he did not know dissolve into pixels. This was reality now. He either has to accept it quickly and move on after seeing these deaths or stay within the safe zones. Then again, they once had a raid happen in the town so he guessed nowhere was safe at all.
"I, uh, I should probably follow him, right? Yeah, I think I'll do that." With a nod of his head, he moved away from June and started moving towards the rest of the people. Using Refresh to hasten his pace, he arrived in time to see the dragon chain previous attack with another lash of its tail. Putting up Cover, he intercepted the impact with the shield. Though it shattered once again, it did its job of softening the blow before it hit the paladin. With the damage sustained, Index decided to back away towards by the empath and enjoyed the heals. "Thanks," he said, directed to catharsis.
// got healed by June. followed towns and joined up with the everyone else. blocked a tail attack before backing out. now hangs around catharsis because free heals. hardmode on

dying shouldn't have been so dramatic at this point. it happened every day in this game. didn't these guys know that by now? it should have been something they were used to, something they expected even, yet this battlefield was filled with blundering babies. it was pathetic.
maybe the woman would allow the fact that there was quite a few people than usual dropping like flies (literally) in this raid, but still, it was nothing to lose your mind over. best not to make friends in a game where you could lose people at any moment if that's how you felt.
hex tossed her lose hair back as strode onto the battlefield broom in hand. her eyes traced the dragon that stirred circles in the sky. every now and again the dragon would dip into the pool of players, grabbing one, eating another, just doing regular dragon things.
the foxfire's eyes landed on a young man with white hair. a face unfamiliar to her, but one that didn't look to be in the best condition. tapping the stick of her broom lightly against the ground, a small fox coated in fire materialized in front of her, cinders and ashes tossed into the air from where the animal appeared. "go on now, buddy," the woman purred motioning towards the attacker. the spirit walked towards him, the embers created a path between the two.
summary: hardmode- off. hex arrives at the scene. thinks everyone are babies. uses spirit of the fox and summons a baby fox to go around and heal people. cinders and ashes procs healing players around the area where the fox was summoned and damaging the dragon should she go there. tells her fox baby to heal gauntlet .

Drakka jumped to Rex's mech's side, trying to brace it with her shoulder as they were slammed with the dragon's tail. Her claws dug up furrows of dirt and finally, thankfully, it stopped. Her shoulder burned so bad she was seeing white in her vision yet as agonizing as it was, suddenly the pain was softening. She didn't stop to consider it, simply knowing someone had healed them, and deciding to leave it at that. Her sharp eyes caught sight of familiar forms. There was Akeno and Raynauld, bunch of idiots, running toward them like that. If they got close, she'd shift to loom over them, defending them from the dragon's reaching claws and maw. Wolves suddenly swarmed the battlefield, and a memory tickled in the back of her mind of a werewolf, she briefly wondered what the girl would think if she saw the gigantic, monstrous Lobisomem she was right now. She could hear gunshots and knew they were Towns, but she didn't give a damn about him. Finally, a familiar beep of a message rang out, and she instinctively looked at the message as it appeared. That annoying Utility player was dead, Dollie, that annoying little girl. Catherine Severs. Goddammit! Drakka cast a glance around but alas, there were no bodies to identify, it was as if nobody died...and the dragon was coming for more victims. Again, Drakka leaned over her allies and mates, at least she had a chance of escaping if she was caught. Swarms of shadows boiled around her, and three finally revealed themselves. Unlike the players, no fear ran through them and they jumped for Otohime. One caught her leg, the other two clawed at her face. They would not survive, but at least Drakka could bring them back. Through it all, Drakka was over all the other players, the wind whipping her mane of fur and bracing herself against Rex's mech to not lose her footing in the storm. This thing was dying, and Drakka couldn't help but grin at the prospect... Summary: Helped brace kingrex mech for impact and receives heal from CAT. Sees DOLLIE message and is really sad right now. Sees allies akeno, raynauld, and aleu. Tries to make herself big and obvious to protect them. Sends three Shadow Pack to maul whatever they can reach on Otohime. Still trying to protect. Hard Mode enabled!

GIVE ME ALL YOUR ENERGY LOVE ME LIKE AN ENEMY The second he used well of tranquility, the simulated grip around his throat tightened and the weight in his chest grew, quickly returning the energy he had just spent to place the heal. It was with a dazed mind that he received the thanks from index and recognized raynauld 's nod, returning it. "It's why I'm here." He replied, and there was no coating the bitter tone in sugar. He noticed the wolf receive healing, unsure if he'd ever healed her before although he was certain he had seen her in battle before. Glimpses. Wasn't sure if he'd ever recognize her face. After today, it might not matter. He turned his head back, watching another wolf charge into the battlefield. He could feel her fear, almost distinctly, almost familiar. Turn back if you're afraid, a scalding, biting set of common sense, but the words died in his throat rather than see the light of day. "Be careful." Was all he said when the wolf drew near to him, probably for the healing. The effect had stopped, and the cooldown was over. With a trembling hand, his free one resting in front of his throat as if he was actually being strangled, he cast a second well of tranquility. Just as everything had dulled down to what it was, it all sharpened again. He lowered his head, having more difficulty masking the pain. Nothing physically hurt, so he dismissed it and kept going. The dragon rose, but just as quickly it came back down to them, perhaps attracted to the cluster of players sticking together. Catharsis braced as the pink monster rushed towards them. He brought up the auric barrier, a dark blue in color, but he knew the moment the dragon touched the barrier, it would likely shatter. All he was hoping, was that it would buffer the incoming damage to whoever the monster's target was. summary:: hardmode: on. 2/3. #corndogs out. cat's set on keeping everyone healed, returned acknowledgements from index and ray, told aleu to be careful, healed people again to his own detriment. saw the dragon charge again, threw up a barrier in hope of absorbing some of the dragon's damage as it broke through. [attr="class","ig"] [attr="class","ninety"] [attr="class","joker"] [attr="class","game"] hex 3/3 Hardmode on [attr="class","kikan"] Towns' mouth moved but she didn't hear anything. Either he had said nothing and was going crazy or the sounds of battle had overridden it. Whichever one it was June didn't care as long as she didn't hear Towns talking shit about her. As he got up and began to head back with the paladin into the battle she was torn between leaving or following. She could be seen with her head turning from side to side in contemplation. Before her were players fighting and also players struggling to flee, while behind her was a path to escape the valley. A path that would let her leave all this madness behind. Gritting her teeth June began to follow the duo, only to find Otohime's razor sharp claw going through her chest in what felt like the blink of an eye. All it took was a second for her health to drop and her body to go flying through the air. Gasping for breath her hands would most faster than a hurricane as she brought up the UI and the health potion into reality. Not wasting a second of her dwindling time June smashed the potion against her body. In the seconds following her body collided with hex, leaving her with a minuscule amount of health. Summary: Went to follow towns and index but was pierce by one of the boss' claws. for a moment it seemed like all hope was lost for the players, few already dead and more to come. The dark clouds shrouded the valley, a sign that death was E for Everyone. "There's one thing I hate more than stupid people, and that's smart machines. I'll avenge the deaths of all the humans that have died, there's no way the human race is going to die to a game we created." anger fueled his drive to fight the boss, there was no fear or bravery. It's always had to do something with death, always death. People dying to NPCs, it's just the saddest thing to ever cross his mind. Even if Nex die, it would be doing him a favor. The odds of anyone beating this game was slim, and he would rather be in heaven than live in a fake world for a whole year. His hands were deep into his pockets as he made his way up to the players, concealing his angry with a cheeky grin.
His plan was to use bind voyage dragon against the boss to drag it down on the ground to give the players an upper advantage in defeating it, since taking it on while it had the sky on it'sside was way too risky to even try. Deep down Nexon could feel death creeping up on the reaper of the sands, it was only a matter of time before his fight for survival was all over. Stop it, nex. Stop thinking that you're gonna die, I'm gonna survive. No matter what.i just want to see my family and friends again. First things his brown eyes witnessed was @june being snatched into the air before surviving with a health potion. Nexon opened up the menu to his inventory, there was zero health potions. Luck was the only thing left on his side. The next thing that caught his attention was the boss heading head first into catharsis shield. this boss isn't like the other one, it's bloodlust is almost human like.. Hard mode on Summary: rolled up to the scene to see @june survive and notice the boss was attacking catharsis

"Pretty," the little girl uttered to herself the moment she saw the creature from a distance. There was a pretty heavy storm, and though she didn't know about the dire goings-on that had taken place, Chandra flew high towards the beautiful creature, unaware of the other players rushing towards it in order to kill it. She thought they were there to see just how beautiful it was, and so, Chandra quickened her pace just a little. The sense of urgency lost on her. It wasn't until she got close enough to see the others wrapped up in chaos did she feel the danger she had just walked-- er, flown into. This beautiful creature was not friendly! She was spared the sight of the previous deaths, but ones from before flashed back into her mind, leaving her numb. Although she wasn't doing anything, she wasn't completely useless, as her passive brought upon a healing wave onto those within the battlefield. At first it would seem that she was staring blankly into space, awaiting for he death to come at the hands of the dragon, but at the loud thumping in her ear drums caused by the enemy's attack, she snapped out of it, completely sure about hearing someone long gone call out to her. She looked around and only saw complete strangers. Ones that she might not be able to see again. Two in particular caught her attention. The man who got his barrier broken, and the girl who was injured by the boss monster. No, she didn't want to see anyone die again! Hands clenched and hidden under the overly long sleeves of her robe, her halo shone brightly like a beacon as she channeled for Prayer. A blast of light would cover the field not long after she started. Everyone around her would be granted a boost in their armor, and receive a steady stream of healing. She tried her best, but it just felt like she was too late this time as well. For those on the ground, she might look like those typical deus ex machina angels that came in at the last minute to save the heroes. But in this game, nothing like that happens. She knew this, and she did her best keep her eyes diverted to avoid seeing anyone dying in front of her. She hoped she could save someone.
Tags: catharsis JuneNotes: Easy mode pls. Came in really late, not knowing what she was getting herself into. Stood in the middle of the battle, frozen for a moment, but provided some healing towards everyone. Activated Prayer to give everyone an armor boost and even greater healing.

GIVE ME ALL YOUR ENERGY LOVE ME LIKE AN ENEMY The pink monstrosity ripped through the shield like paper, and Cat noticed a familiar face get speared on the dragon's claw, alarm rushing through him as he wasn't sure which had happened first before he too was grabbed by the dragon, claws cutting into his ribs as the thing barreled right past the others surrounding him and singled out two healers in one go. Something about that detail scared him, and this time he knew it was his fear and not someone else's. Briefly, he thought he saw a familiar face, but of course nexon would be there to see him die. His health was draining rapidly in the vice grip of the ascending dragon, and he thought fast. Anger replacing panic, he grabbed hold of the creature, but as rapid as the cathartic grasp was, his health was still dropping quickly. At the same time, however, the dragon's health did - if not as terribly as Cat would have liked. The dragon began to writhe with discomfort, however, dropping him, and Cat knew he was going to die from the fall damage now rather than being impaled. At least, so far up above, it was quiet. There were no emotions to press into him at this height. Hand shaking, opening his inventory, he pulled out a health potion. Drinking it, he watched his health bar replenish, but wasn't certain what would become of him once he hit the ground. Turning, he swept a hand at the fast approaching ground below him. If all else failed, if he managed to time it just right, he might be able to bring up a barrier to temporarily freeze himself inside of it and stop his own descent. It wasn't as though he expected anyone else to help him. summary:: hardmode: on. 3/3. #corndogs out. cat got picked up by the dragon seconds after seeing June impaled, noticed nexon, used cathartic grasp to convince the thing to drop him a little too high up in the air for comfort. used a health potion so he'll live, is preparing to save himself from the fall/not expecting anyone to help him.

Arriving by her companions and guildmates, The Cannibal gave a rather serious nod of greeting towards her guild leader, kingrex . Definitely very different from her normal greeting, she offered the same towards raynauld and drakka . There was a seriousness she held this time. Not the normal whimsical tone she usually had. Something much more grim reached across her face, as the acknowledgment of death had struck a nerve within her. This was not something she felt comfortable joking about.
Glancing over, she saw another person falling not too far away. Making a mad dash over towards where it seemed the person was going to fall, she brought out her knife, slicing part of her shoulder. Taking the damage increased her speed and strength enough to make it there in time, arms out to catch the falling person.
"Gotcha!" She made it just in time, arms catching the falling catharsis . With a frame befitting someone rather weak, it might look pretty weird to see The Cannibal bear the brunt of the falling weight. Thank goodness for The Cannibal buff last patch . She hadn't met the fellow before, but she hoped she'd at least helped a little in the survival process. Hoping to quickly set the fellow down, she gave an affectionate smile and nod to him, "Stay safe, pal! I don't know if I could catch you again!" Tired from the effort exerted, she moved to rejoin her guildmates, a somewhat exhausted jog back.
Summary: Looked kinda sad, met up with the pals, caught a falling guy, and went back to the pals.

Glancing over to Draum for a moment before blurting out "Hey, give me a moment alright make sure we're okay." Though as he looked over his shoulder at the brawler he happened to look just in time to see someone with green hair come crashing down from the dragon's claws and become pixels in the wind. Wincing at what just happened Aleister would lead Chirp over behind some trees, hopefully keeping them safe from the dragon for now. "I gotta show you something alright.." Flipping his menu open Aleister navigated his way to his inventory, selecting the Resurrection charge in his inventory, holding the item out to her Aleister would shake his head a bit before putting the charge back. "You don't have to worry about me ever Birdie okay? I got a do over in case things go bad. I think thats why I worry about you getting hurt so much maybe? I mean, I don't even want to spend one life without you let alone two." After saying that Aleister leaned in and gave her a pretty passionate kiss, breaking it off pretty quickly since they were in a raid at the moment. "Your my little birdie, I love you. I just want you to be safe, I gotta go back up Draum and everyone else though. I'll be fine just stay safe." With that said Aleister would linger for a moment for whatever response that Chirp had to all that, before running back into the main area of the raid. Coming to a stop next to his Brawler friend Aleister would twirl his spear around in hand. "So what'd I miss?" He pieced it together after chirps explanation as well as seeing that one of the players had just be turned into pixels before his eyes, this dragon had been busy already, and it was still hungry. Raynauld slid in behind the massive mech and the overtall werewolf, leaving Akeno to run for their empathic friend of sorts. He drew his flail and shield, not that it meant much - few openings to begin with, anyone who tried to approach was seemingly met with death, and even those that weren't fell as mayflies.[break] He raised the shield, bracing for any and all impacts - if that even meant anything. Of the ones most likely to need his aid, Rex was in a giant machine and Drakka was already curled up in a defensive stance. Akeno and the empath, though... But there had to be something else-![break] And there, in the sky, a literal angel. With this storm, though, it was really only time before her wings were clipped. Over the din, he shouted at her.[break] "Angel! Drop altitude, lest they see those wings of yours clipped!"[break] Maybe he should've been offended at the imagery, given his upbringing. But there wasn't time for that.[break] "Okay! Do any of us have a plan to get close to this thing? One that doesn't involve us plucked as flowers from the garden?"[break] Summary: Raynauld despaired not at death, but at getting close to this thing. At least akeno saved catharsis , though. Looking for something to do, he at least scolded Chandra to get out of the skies before asking if anyone had a real plan. 2/3, hard mode still off.

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]Even inside his humanoid tin can, Rex was gritting his teeth as he waited for the impact of the tail. There was a good chance it was going to topple him over, and maybe even take an arm with it. But it would be worth it if it would buy towns enough time to get his shit back on track so they could finally turn the tables on this scaled menace. Just before he would of taken that nasty blow, drakka came to brace with him with her shadows, and together they held off the attack and saved anyone around them from any unwanted damage. Rex relaxed his mecha for a moment, it's 'head' tilting down as it viewed all of his guidlmates now in the fray. This...this was what he was waiting for! Towns' anger sent him in a blood lust against the boss, and he'd grin from his cockpit as the sniper sprung into action with well placed shots. “Alright Devils! Let's kick this furry bitch's ass!” Rex called out from his robotic terror, “drakka , akeno ! Keep on her flanks, hit her when you can! raynauld , you're with me up front, if we can keep it focused on us, we'll know where it's moving!” He commanded. Large metal feet stepped forward, as one of ORIGIN's hands reached to trade it's assault rifle for an insanely sized shotgun, cocking it for action, another tilt of it's metal head was given towards catharsis , “...Not a lotta supports out here, I'm going to leave it to you, yeah? Keep safe...” He suggested before boosting himself away towards the front of Otohime. Sure enough he'd lay into that cunt with a thundering boom of golden magical buckshot, hopefully doing some damage as he kept a dancing pace far enough away to dodge any unpleasant claws reaching to tear him up. Though his plan to keep it's attention did little as it dragged the empath upwards and dropped him, Rex was about to lose his shit up until Akeno saved the support, “God damn it Cat! I told you to stay back!” He fussed from within his cockpit. Meanwhile the soldier would notice a message blinking on the bottom of his hud, it was DOLLIE . It wasn't like he had time to read it right now, but it didn't make him grin. That pretty little venomous flower was probably sitting back safe somewhere. Not a shred of trust when they first met, he actually ended up..respecting her. So much so he planned on sending her an invite to the Guild when this was all over, she'd make a damn fine Devil... The binder clenched his fist at the sight of catharsis falling from the sky, he hated his guts. Nex despised catharsis for one reason: it was because in a weird way cat was a better player than him. The only player that Nexon actually admitted that was better than hom, which took a heavy blow to his pride to admit. But in a way he was kind of happy, it's possible for a player like like catharsis to defeat the game and free all the trapped players. As long as they were better than Nexon for a good cause, he didn't really mind it that much. He still remembered that half eaten pizza that he was going to finish after he logged out, too bad he never did. All Nexon wanted to do was going back to the good ole days of reality where you could sit by a campfire with your friends and feel the real warmth of heat, not fake virtual ones. That would be a dream come true, if he doesn't make it to the end at least catharsis could have a better chance of defeating the game than him.
He would notice kingrex and his squad, they were pretty organized and looked like they knew what they were doing in a weird crazy blow up everything way. "Those guys are weird, but I might as well do something that just stand here all day waiting for them to take all the glory." he's prepared to give it his all to the very end, even if he died trying it was worth knowing he died as the greatest player in the game, only the best protect the wesk. They were the weak, it was Nex's duty ad the best player alive to be their savior and end the boss killing spree of plastering back and forth. He charged at the boss with the intention of using his strongest skill on it. "I'd be damned if these losers make me feel useless, I'll show them what a true support class can do. I'm the best." It was a full on sprint toward the boss in order to do something before it goes airborne. Hard mode Summary: almost saw catharsis fall to his death until he was saved. Noticed kingrex and his gang was about to go in on the boss. Gets ready to use bind voyage dragon. ovoFnnyR
