[attr="class",screamlyrics"]THIS COBWEB OF SICK BLOOD [attr="class","screamlyrics1"]OUR HONOR IS THE HOLY BLOOD | [attr="class","screambod"]With an eyebrow raised Aleister flicked through the message that Chirp had sent him, it seemed there was a raid boss over in faywood and that it was hard to hit in close range. Realizing that he'd be at a disadvantage for the most part because of that, but also not really caring too much because of his Resurrection charge Aleister would fast travel over to faywood. Making his way to the valley of the fallen as quick as he could. He wasn't too worried about showing up late, after all it had been a very very long time since someone died in one of these raid things. Surely everything was going just fine right? Entering into the faywoods Aleister would immediately use his Dawn-Walker skill, leaping into the air and eventually coming down on the dragon as it was swooping back down. Slamming spear first into it before tumbling down to the ground from a much lower altitude then people were being dropped from. Tumbling along the ground Aleister would come to a stop right on his butt in front of Chirp, his spear seeming to be made out of pink crystals from the crystal element it got from Dawn-Walker. Glancing up to see who was behind him Aleister once again couldn't help but start grinning at the sight of Chirp, completely oblivious to how dire the situation around everyone was. He had arrived just late enough to miss people dying. "Hey Birdie, you okay? You know I love you right?" He blurted out being all worried and protective as he activated Elemental Form, his hair, eyes and the fancy new armor Chirp made for him changing to a pink color. Climbing back up to his feet Aleister twirled his spear around as he looked around the area. Noticing what looked like a mecha that someone was piloting? Whatever it was he was honestly just a little bit envious of it and wanted a mecha of his own. Summary: Hard Mode/Showed up just in time to miss people dying and Dawn-Walkered the Dragon, got the crystal element, landed on his butt by chirp and was like oh hey birdie ily. Used Elemental Form and turned all pink again, managed to show up after the deaths happened and didn't see them yet. Also went wtf at kingrex's mech and now wants one. |

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]Rex was relieved to see drakka get her shit together so easily, grinning inside his cockpit as she jumped from his hand and joined back in the fight. He'd boost himself backwards, the large Mecha kicking up dust and earth as he skidded away from the boss. A powerful rifle was grabbed from it's back and aimed forward, firing. A crackling blast of energy shot forward towards the dragon, the rifle's piercing magical projectiles would hopefully do some damage. As he moved and fired he'd notice towns sulking into despair, he didn't even have to see what happened to know what it was about. “...Get up! For the ones still alive, you've gotta get the hell up!” Rex called out towards the man from his intercoms, sliding his mech to stop in front of them and provide a physical barrier against any attacks. Hopefully maybe index could talk some sense into the sniper. He was a valuable player with grand skill, they couldn't afford to not have him on his A game right now! Sure enough while the dragon was most likely dealing with other players it would whip it's long and furry tail towards Rex and his mecha, hoping to bat him away. If it wasn't for the players he was trying to protect, he could of just boosted and dodged the incoming battering swing. So instead he hunkered himself down, raising one of the robot's arms upwards towards the whipping tail, and deploying a large shield that covered most of the limb to try and ease the impact... Would it be enough? [attr="class","s arenotes"]- NSFW!!!!- NOTES:Rex fires off a shot at the boss, and then goes to provide Cover for Towns while he gets his shit together. The dragon attempts to bash him with it's tale. @tag | |

More people were dying left and right, Usagi unable to do anything for the time being but grit his teeth and bare it. But despite that, he also felt himself becoming frustrated, as some players seemed to simply break down. Others seeming to simply give up and wallow in their sorrow. He couldn't blame them. He had an idea of what they were feeling. But even so...they couldn't just sit there and do nothing! But funny enough, his thoughts were treated with extremely convenient timing.[break][break]
As he pondered over the whole situation, Otohime was coming back up and around from her most recent dive. Reptilian eyes settled upon the Rabbit and seemed to be making a beeline for him. A full-on charge. Normally, Usagi wouldn't be the type to run head-on towards an incoming enemy. Especially not a raid boss. However, in this case? He was willing take the chance. He bent his knees as low as they would go as he began leaning over the tree branch, vaulting himself straight towards the leviathan, electric-blue eyes staring down the beast as he raised his arms up in front of himself, activating [Mirror, Mirror]. A full-body mirror materialized in front of himself, taking solid form before it finally met with Otohime.[break][break]
The mirror shattered into numerous pieces, fragments and shards, the dust of the reflective glass embedding itself in her eyes. A loud roar of pain echoed throughout the forest as she writhed about in agony, losing altitude and falling to the open forest floor below, it's HP lowering by fair amount. Usagi's body was blown back by the impact of the dragon running into him, forcing him to fall and bounce a few times upon the forest floor. His HP dropped by nearly 75%, his senses a blur due to the jumbling about of his brain in his body. But instead of taking his sweet time to struggle getting back to his feet, he only did one other thing he felt necessary. He drew in a breath and bellowed out: [break][break]
ATTAAAAAAACK!!"[break][break]

Hard Mode engaged 2/3[break][break] Summary: Jumped at the charging Otohime head-on! Activated Mirror, Mirror dealing 15% of the damage he took, and stunning her for three seconds. Bellows out for other players to take advantage and attack while they still can.

she wonders for a brief moment if this is all worth it. this new found life had always excited her and the looming fear of death that hung on the shoulders of everyone had previously been ignorantly ignored. it brought a feeling that she could never truly explain and a rush she couldn’t get enough of. true terror lay on the horizon, just out of eliza's vision where it stayed, blurred and impersonal.
but, despite it all, the game found ways to sneak in small ounces of worry every so often. it played on her most basic of human instincts, pulling at the chords of her own survival and making her usually clear mind cloud.
it’s hard to find her footing.
a small fact that helps bring reality back once the wind pushes against eliza, causing her to steady herself in place. her eyes focus, seeking out something familiar within the crowd of players gathering; ignoring the beast that circles them from above. she was sure its descent to the ground would give her enough time to regain her attention.
it’s funny how the first face she catches is the one she least expects to see. a girl who she remembers from what seems like so long ago; covered in snow, making them laugh despite the dungeon they were all trapped within. she recalls the face before the name, but as it enters her mind eliza can’t help but laugh a bit. her breath catches, words falling to silence as she’s about to call out to cosimia -- to tell her it’s been too long and how she never expected to see here.
but she doesn’t get the chance.
her body feels heavy as she watches the girl be taken, and like nothing her eyes follow at her body falls -- crashing like nothing. she can’t find her breath, or maybe she had forgotten how to. hands cover her mouth, quieting a small cry that escapes, burning her throat as it's pushed to silence.
in a moment of panic eliza stays still, body shaking as she desperately attempts to clear her mind and find that bliss of ignorance she’d clung to for so long. but instead her eyes catch something else -- something even more familiar than the other.
REIGN .
she’s too far away, her feet heavy. everything fell into silence as the words to call out to the woman went quiet. she wanted to shout at her to wait, to stop and run over to her because she was scared; and maybe, just maybe, reign was too. “reign, wait” she finally starts, words hushed by the wind. there was more she wanted to say in a tone much higher than what she was able to muster up -- but as she stood by, watching another of her friends get dragged up, whatever else that wanted to be said was lost.
her hands find her mouth again, pressed hard against her lips as she cries, eyes closed tight to avoid watching reigns body hit the ground. she’d seen it before with cosimia and with ease her mind could play out the scene she’d ignored, replacing one friend with another. death happened everyday, but they weren’t unknown names of people she hadn’t met. they were her friends, or as close to a connection she had made, and now they were gone.

[attr="class","ig"] [attr="class","kikan"] Pixels erupted all around June as Otohime took more victims. Cries of anguish came from all sides as the adventurers were slaughtered. This was no raid battle, this was a massacre. And all the support could do to survive it was run as fast as her legs could take her, the cries of anguish acting as her fuel. chirp's awareness had been static, the slugger going through the motions of shooting baseballs at the dragon, of trying to save people, of trying to distract it with linebackers, everything. more often than she succeeded, she failed. people were dying, really dying, more than she'd ever seen so far. there were no words, and there was no reason for this. not that she could figure, anyway.
and pink had always been her favorite color.
when a flurry of pink landed next to her, her heart caught into her throat before she caught sight of aleister, her brain stuttering as she realized he had just jumped into the way of the creature that had already killed so many. she blinked, hard, and when she tried to smile it was one that faltered. "aleister ..." she blinked rapidly, looking over again as she faintly recognized his friend, waving in a more faint hearted way. she shook her head, then, ponytail whipping in the air as she allowed herself to be honest, her smile fading.
"you should both leave." she said frankly, looking flat at aleister. "I never should've sent you that message. people are getting shredded out here like it's nothing, and it doesn't look like there's much close range fighters can do." she frowned sharply. "i'm worried ..." she let a hand fall from her bat, reaching to run a hand through aleister's pink hair. her smile was faint, but it was there.
her favorite color.

she wonders when the game had gone silent. had she done something to disconnect herself from the world or was this just another way for that creature to kill them off. it all felt uneasy; a sinking feeling she couldn’t quite shake. it swallowed her in the hum, drowning her with each slow crawling second she stay stilled amongst so much movement. had anyone cared at all about her friends, or was she the only person to have their faces burned into her memory. an anger laced question given no answer, a pained whine of a noise -- pathetic and small, like everyone here in the valley waiting for death. her ignorance had left her blind to what this game truly was, allowing her to cast aside all those whispered talk in town about someone's passing. she understood why no one could let things go.
there’s no point in putting in the ability to cry in video games. it’s a painful detail the creators added, if only to toy with their prisoners long after they accepted their fate. she wished it would go away, along with this ache that felt too real for it to all be code. for the first time eliza is able to catch her breath, gasping for air in a quick moment, only to have it be choked back like all the rest. this wasn’t her. she was the woman who enjoyed this new life; who took the excitement of it all in stride, pushing her fears away in order to feel that rush of adrenaline coarse through her veins.
yet right now she felt none of that.
her palm pressed against her cheek, rubbing against the sides of her eyes to free her vision from the liquid that blurred it. but each time she closed her eyes, even for a moment, she saw them. was it childish to cry for people she didn’t even know all too well? or was it justified to feel this hurt. was it okay to want to know them more than she had. or, at least, to spend more time with them.
she wanted to meet cosimia again. in the time they had been apart she knew she had thought of more dumb puns to tell the girl, she was sure of it. maybe not at this moment but if she had gotten just one more chance she’d have remembered them; and they’d laugh just like in the dungeon.
“i’m sorry …”
reign would probably think it was stupid, but she’d join along too; just as she had done before. when they were alone she’d tease the woman of her name, a little secret they shared during the ball -- and something eliza couldn’t help but think cosimia would laugh at. that’s why she couldn’t say it; why she’d wait till they were alone to make some teasing comment. they both could even go out for drinks again, she had owed reign that.
she had never planned anything out with her yet.
“i don’t want to be here ...“
her tone is almost pleading, knowing that this was all just the start. they had all just gotten here yet so many had died. she wished she hadn’t came and with it, selfishly, wondered if maybe if she hadn’t if she could have convinced the other two to have sat this raid out. she could have finally talked to cosimia again; she could have gotten to known reign more. it could have all just been an unfortunate event that they all luckily escaped; and she could have lived comfortably within that ignorance she’d been clinging to since the start.
“i can’t do this ...“

meilin couldn't exactly describe what she was feeling now that death was basically approaching. her mind flashed with images of ashwood, faust, and aleister. a pang of regret sat uncomfortably in her throat. maybe she should've said something to the latter two before she did something so reckless. no, she scolded herself. that was just stupid and knew that they would've saved her if they could.
the duelist closed her eyes as she ascended though, clearly not quick enough. the next thing she knew, the creature released her. she yelled out before landing hard in a crouched position, her health taking a small hit. looking around, she noticed a female with blue hair who, probably had something to do with her release. meilin grumbled to herself, but forced out a 'thanks' out of politeness.
she checked it off; dying here was just not going to happen. she picked up the weapon that she had dropped from her abduction. if she wasn't going to die, then well, she was going to at least help the few who wanted to live. meilin grimaced at the unfavorable numbers with more disappearing one by one in front of her. she couldn't help but criticize their decisions. if they really wanted to live, they wouldn't have been here in the first place.

Having been watching from afar, The Cannibal's heart pounded, blood tense with fear shooting through her veins. It was truly a thrilling and terrifying experience. Lying on all fours, she clenched the ground below her with her toes and fingers, almost fearful that the thing would suddenly be upon her, even at a distance.
She stared blankly. People were dying. Really dying. Like, more than just... Just getting hurt. More than that. Literally death. The permanence of that struck her. Her heart sputtered. She was truly scared. For the first time in maybe forever, The Cannibal was scared to run head first into this issue.
So many casualties. Biting her lip, The Cannibal rose to her feet, shaky. Bringing a fist to her chest, she pounded hard, as if trying to calm the terrified heartbeat. She couldn't wait any longer. She'd seen her friends there, drakka and kingrex . They were fighting for their lives. As scared as she was, she couldn't just stay there... But fear... That was not something a psycho like her often felt. She was not used to it. It wracked her heart full of agony, seeing so many people die. People that she could've perhaps been friends with. It terrified her, to know that people were truly gone forever.
But that didn't mean she was willing to be a coward. Pulling her slingshot from her bag, she prepared herself at a distance, before beginning to make her way towards her friends. She winced and closed turned her face away, as more exploding pixels meant more players dying.
Summary: Akeno arrived and started heading towards drakka and kingrex . Hard mode off, I'm not dying too.

GRIEVE With all of the chaos surrounding him, he kept his eyes to the sky. Right at the spot where Otohime had taken Zodiac up to before he turned to pixels among the stars. The white noise that buzzed in his ears slowly fading as he soon found himself surrounded, seeming snapping back to a consciousness. Even it was just a state of trauma, the people he felt so close to. The people he hoped to escape this cruel game with and continue a bond with, they were gone. He had awaken back into the nightmare, shaking his head for a second. Looking to Index and June, the girl had recognized before... he didn't like her. Yet she was still alive mean while all Towns had done is sat and watched his friends died. Death was heavily real and painful to him now. He snapped out of it, his heart still hurt yes, however he picked himself off the ground. "I'm not stopping till it's dead." He muttered quietly to himself, as if he would actually just sit there and let this fucking thing get away with more death. He gave a small pat to Index, mindlessly as he walked past him. Pulling the bloody sunday sniper rifle off of his back as Towns, the Sharpshooter joined the side of the commondo in his mech. He gave no glance or nod if Towns was actually one hundred percent, the loud clunk of metal would answer that for the rest of them as he loaded a round into the chamber. A single round rang out and was able to connect with Otohime, it would be the first of many. The hallow eyes of Towns now tracking it's every single movement. He would get the last shot on this thing, if it was the last thing he did. hard mode, woke up. patted index and started fucking shit up with kingrexMADE BY MINNIE OF WICKED WONDERLAND

GIVE ME ALL YOUR ENERGY LOVE ME LIKE AN ENEMY There was nothing he could do. It was worse than the last dragon. At least people had had a chance, but there was no point in him being here. Every time he reached up or knew someone was being hurt, a split second later and it was too late. People were dying left and right, and there was nothing he could do to stop any of it. It wasn't so much that he felt he was personally responsible for the actions of the dragon, so much as that he hated being completely ... worthless. The fear soaked into him like hands closing around his neck, growing tighter with each person who felt it, and yet the actual ability to breathe didn't leave him. It only felt like the seconds were counting down. The grief felt like a weight in his chest that he wasn't familiar with, a cold sweeping through him like a winter chill that left a numbness in its wake. it was suffocating. His energy bar was full, and there was nothing he could even spend it on. The second people came to the ground with any amount of healthbar left, he was on them, healing them. He wasn't paying attention to faces anymore, seeing right through people as they blurred together. It was overwhelming. None of this was his fault. None of this was his responsibility, not really. And yet a grease lay over his skin and he couldn't identify it as coming from the outside source, not entirely. He hated it. It was out of the corner of his eye that he caught sight of familiar faces and a - was that a mecha? The dissonance grounded him some as he noticed eat some of the dragon's tail and be left still standing. He moved, turning the owlbear to rush into the thick of it. There was too much risk in using bond of compassion. There was no telling what people might do if the side effect kicked in in a place like this. Instead, he swept a hand by his side, letting down a well of tranquility, hoping it would get whoever needed it without him having to focus. It just sharpened everything. summary:: hardmode: on. dicks out for too many to tag. cat's getting overwhelmed with the emotional energy intake, is very, very aware of the deaths and not exactly able to ignore it. notices @town's group including kingrex's mecha taking a hit, got close and laid down an aoe heal over time

the lycanthrope was already on all four paws as she made her way through the forest of faywood. every time she got the notification of a new raid boss appearing, there was an internal struggle of whether the girl wanted to help fight or not. most of the time it ended up being not. of all the the raid bosses that had been dropped upon gargantua, aleu had only shown up to one. one where she did nothing but hide in fear from the boss as it attacked with its sandy terror.
she hoped this time would be different.
with the clearing in sight, the wolf came to stand behind a tree. gray clouds encompassed the dragon that circled the sky. it didn't seem too harmless...
that was until it swooped down into the sky and plucked players right off the ground. the girl watched in fear as player after player was turned into pixels as they fell from the sky or were crushed by the dragon's claws. this wasn't how the last raid went.
the players continued to die as she hid behind the tree and watched on. it wasn't supposed to be like this. these people were dead. dead, dead. they were never coming back.
her eyes landed on a familiar head of red hair. catharsis. aleu wouldn't watch him die, too. breaking into a sprint, the girl used her wolf form to her advantage to get to the young man as quickly as possible.
summary: hard mode- on. call of the wild is activated. aleu makes her way to the clearing and watches from behind the trees as everyone dies (#corndogsout). she sees catharsis and runs towards him.

[googlefont="Oxygen|Yellowtail"] liquor liquor lips There was something just so soothing about the magic within her. She took a breath and her eyes were glowing with the power she was gathering. And yet... something went wrong. Wind whirled around her, and suddenly her breath was gone. She lifted her head, and perhaps it was a gift from her class, or perhaps it was just fatalism. She laughed, spreading her arms open even as her summon flew forward. It was futile, she knew it, but it would buy her precious precious moments. Her fingers opened menus, and she pulled up two drafts. 'How sad.' she thought. She tapped twice. They were sent. There was a crying sounds, and a shattering noise. Her guardian fell to pieces, even as she turned towards the dragon. She only had two people to give messages to - and Dollie, even though she was how she was, had been prepared. For each person she met more then a moment in a raid, she had written out something for them. Perhaps it was the want to leave something behind. She never had friends in this game, being pretty isolated and not necessarily a social girl. And those she met? They tended to die. Just like she will, in a moment. Her face twisted, an expression that could only be borne of desperation and hatred. ''THEN COME GET ME YOU BITCH.'' she screamed. 'If perhaps, the inevitable march of fate takes me, then let someone else be spared.' she thought. And then she smiled, unwilling to think anymore, because it would - it was over. Pixels on the wind. Ting! Ting! Two people present at the raid received a notification of a private message. to kingrex from DOLLIE -- So if you've gotten this, it means that I bit the dust somewhere. Probably won't effect you all that much, you're the kind of guy that will go on. It's what I like about you - how rough you are, and well... honestly?
