I need your help - ?́?̧҉̢?̷̶̢ Other than the simple four-word message, a location was listed underneath which pointed to a deep corner in the Town of Origins. An area far away from any celebration. As players arrived on the inner scene of a brick-covered structure, the setting unraveled before their eyes. Golden birdcages dangled from the ceiling by chains while leaves of green decorated their linings. An artificial light kept the place lively, with birds and butterflies flapping their wings against the presence of something divine. Expressing itself as the center stage, an inner cage lowered itself down further than the others. Inside rested a young girl with a crown and hair greener than any of Faywood's trees. “Players of Gargantua, chosen by the world that guides you...” Eyelashes colored green pressed open her eyelids to deliver the message as more players and more players reached the hidden place. “I need your help..." She paused for just a moment to the crowd of heroes and soldiers who questioned her godly glow. “An ancient, unpleasant disease seeks to destroy this land you now call home. You can see the seeds of destruction hidden in the golden sands of Dione. I pray for your protection, but I am afraid it is not enough...” Pressing her finger tips against the greenery, she removed a small blue rose that spread against her open palm. “Players, please help me rid the world of this darkness before it is far too late.”descriptionA mysterious woman has arrived in the Town of Origins, and she's summoned all the nearby players celebrating the boss bash. Once enough players showed up, she started going on about a new evil that's taking over gargantua, which is already going on in Dione. Yeongmae walked up to the girl, walking away from the chatter and festivities the town was holding. The area was gorgeous and beaming with life. There was light, greenery, and the place exuded peace and serenity. It amazed Yeongmae at how beautiful it was, as if it was a sanctuary within this game. She listened to the story that the green hair girl shared, and as more players happened to show up, the more unsettling this whole event seemed. Combined with the story of destruction afoot, Yeongmae started to fear for what the future would hold. She worked so hard to survive up to this point, and if this story were true, could this mean that something more deadly than a raid is about to occur? She paused for a moment, trying to contemplate the possibilities of a permanent world effect that could cause thousands of real life deaths, if this were true. After a moment of silence, Yeongmae asked the goddess-like npc a question.
"How do the seeds of destruction manifest themselves in Dione?"
Perhaps asking how the source of pestilence appears to players will help them and Yeongmae how best to spot them, and perhaps destroy them. She was curious as to how others would go about this new giant world task, and whether or not people would be scared or rise up to protect everyone involved.
SUMMARY: Asked "How do the seeds of destruction manifest themselves in Dione?" to the green-haired girl, hoping others will follow up with questions about it.

“Dione is steeped in the ever-growing forces of the sands of time, withering away at anything bound to righteousness.” She moved her left hand over the rose in her right. “Creatures of sand and rock are more dangerous than ever. Those who maneuver the desert should tread cautiously.” She finished her answer with a slow blink that changed her view to the other heroes that appeared in the structure.
"Someone is responsible...”

Having followed a random message, Akeno figured it would at least be a decent bit interesting. As she was relatively scared of fireworks, for their loud, disgruntling pops and crackles, she was totally on board with the idea of heading somewhere else. The notification seemed to be the perfect distraction.
Heading along, The Cannibal was baffled by the magnificent sight of it all. Some green looking girl, looking like the green giant's daughter (You know, the green giant, that big green dude on those green bean commercials and stuff). Birds and butterflies, an alluring display of nature. Akeno was hooked.
Akeno was nearly about to blatantly ask, 'why so many damn birdcages?', but stopped herself. Lefty, suggesting many poor ideas, got a slap from right palmy. Something within her knew that she should make the question matter. Not to waste it on some silly joke her mind made.
"Erm... Green princess goddess lady thing?" Akeno raised her hand, hoping to draw the attention of the esteemed looking individual, at least for a moment. "So... Baddies coming, disease, yadda, yadda..." Akeno recapped to herself. The pink haired girl sighed, scratching her head, opting for a much simpler question. She hadn't the brain power to ask a more complex one, unfortunately. "What should I do?"
Summary: Showed up, admired the scenery, and asked, "What should I do?" to the little green giant girl.

She hummed a quiet tune as the girl with pink hair readied her question. “Something is coming...” A small pause of thought forced a short break. “A titan.” She picked away at the different pedals of the sky-colored flower.
“I need help from everyone of you in stopping it.”

The player's shout startled the deity's action, but only for a moment. Her hands released what was left of the sky-colored plant to the air as he turned her attention back. Conversing with several players at once was obviously not her strong suit.
“The titans are ancient beings of old, with their souls bound to one sacred duty; the creation of gargantua as you know it. Everything you know and see is constructed by their very own imagination.” She started the wheel the master thief asked for.
“It was from their very own worthiness that brought upon their demise. Unmatched raw power and brute strength cast a shadow upon every other living creature in the lands. They ruled as kings against mere mortals. Forced from their pride, they were pressed into a very deep slumber, but now they've returned to reclaim what they believe is rightfully theirs.”

"Of course they did a terrible job, considering they couldn't keep the most powerful beings in the game who literally created everything from coming back in some fashion. It's like, they weren't powerful enough to permanently seal away these titans. What amateurs."
Yeongmae responded to Charlatan in a very sarcastic tone. Was she dumb? Did she not know of these 'sealing away evil only last a while' tropes? Like, the 'after 1000 years, they reappear' prophecies? She scoffed, laughing under her breath as she continued to address her.
"You know, whatever sealed them away must have been at least as powerful if not more, and of course it's hard to seal something so powerful away for so long. Since it was in a deep sleep, it must have taken a lot of energy to make it do so for so long, and unfortunately if we let it fester and plague our world, who knows what will happen? These things can start a chain reaction of waking up, and if we don't act quickly we could be facing permadeath for everyone."
Yeongmae was not taking any chances, she had to let people know what could be at stake, since the mythical looking girl seemed to get overwhelmed.

"Miss, I have a question! said the chipper yet a little overly excited Mistress. Tara never had such danger presented to her before, and as the Mistress, she found such strength in this tumultuous time that was going on in Gargantua. "What are these titans' weaknesses? Surely if it's causing havoc we'll have to know how ta beat the darned things!"
She moved her way closer to the iridescent girl, pushing away a gray haired woman whom she thought was a little too old for this game. She looked around and saw quite a few people gathered, but perhaps not everyone got the notification about this new event that might be happening? She looked back at everyone, and let her two dragons breath fire into the air, as if trying to start a rally.
"If we're gonna save ourselves, we're going to have to work together! This event seems like one to put in the books, so let's all get all the info we can and go on the offensive!!!!" She cackled as her dragons breathed fire, avoiding any life or plants or cages as to not destroy anything that could be precious to the glowing girl. She wanted to help foster a zeal as opposed to a fear in order to get everyone involved and on the move to a greater life in Gargantua.

| Like fucking hell Rex was going to care about some bullshit Q&A with some cunt in a cage, how the hell could people still enjoy this fucking nightmare as a game anymore? But he'd gotten a little tispy from more than a few beers at the Bash, and decided spilling out some much needed hate wouldn't hurt his already sour mood. Things didn't get any better when he actually got there to listen to some of the questions people were asking. Still to many of them were acting their roles, and forgetting they were someone outside the game. Far to many of them seemed OK with this god forsaken prison, and were probably excited to be trapped here...Sickening. The soldier decided on breaking the wall of 'in character' bullshit these kids were hiding behind, shoving his way past whoever to get close enough to the cage, and waited for a chance to speak. He did catch a glimpse of akeno not to far off, he could only imagine the kind of dumb ass question she'd end up asking this thing.... “...How the FUCK do we get out of this game?” Rex barked out in his raspy youthful male voice, sharp teeth snarled in a frown as he eyed the caged animal. He honestly didn't expect an answer back, and was probably more set on reminding those around him what the -real- goal should be in consideration of the future..Regardless of if he got an answer or not, Rex spent very little time there before stalking off in his usual brooding fashion. RECAP-Rex asked the obvious question of how do they escape. |

'cause tonight's the night the world begins again Unlike some of the others who were eager to gather at the meeting place, Naomi only felt angry and frustrated. She flew as fast as she could, trying to make it there before the mysterious figure suddenly disappeared before she could give it a piece of her mind. Others around her were asking questions about whatever it was that was coming. Weaknesses, strengths, anything to help them out in what was to come. Naomi should be more concerned about that, since no doubt they were going to have to fight it as this game have been forcing them to do constantly. But she could care less about that right now. She heard Carlo's familiar voice somewhere in the crowd, demanding answers from the game. His question only served to fuel the rage that was boiling in her. This seemed to be her only chance to try and get some real information out of the figure. Still up in the air, she clenched her hands into fists as she glared at it. "I am sick and tired of this prison! What the hell do you really want from us? Why are you forcing us to play your stupid games? For what?!" She screamed, tears welling up in her eyes. "I just want to go home!"SUMMARY: Heard kingrex's question and asked why they're all trapped in this game

Post by index on Jul 8, 2017 4:20:44 GMT -5
Index was someone who'd get caught up in anything relating to an event. The message seemed to be one of them, given that the sender wasn't a username for a player. The place it led to was aesthetic, to say at least. Was there even a place like this in the Town of Origins to begin with? He had not heard anything like this before, though it probably was a given since the outside did not look as interesting as it was on the inside. Everyone else had their attentions directed to the girl with green hair instead though, which Index should've had done as well.
Despite this, the words that came out of her mouth felt too surreal for a simple event. It did not sound like some kind of day-to-day problem that NPCs find themselves worrying, nor does it sound like a part of the celebration happening on the town. Maybe a teaser for the next raid perhaps? Others started asking their own questions at the green haired girl before he could collect his thoughts. He tried to note each question and the corresponding answers to each, though the sheer number of questions got him to give up eventually and just ask his own.
"So we have to kill them or something? What happens after we get rid of these 'titans'?" Hopefully, they get to live happily ever after and everything goes back to normal. Her answers for other questions were pretty vague either, with Index not really hoping much for her response to his question. 'Stopping them' does not exactly help them one bit.
// summary: asks what happens afterwards

A changed glance shifted her attention over, passing a cold shoulder to the hair in black and the spirit medium. Chirping played a rhythm against the golden cage lines, encouraging a nearby bluebird to outright land on the hand of the goddess. She would let the bird prance around against the backside of her palm before continuing onward.
“each titan is worthy of it's own powers and weaknesses. I'm sorry to say I have no answer to your question, but I fear that your first battle will be against the titan of time.”
With her reply, another question was fired from the back of the crowd. Somewhere against a wall.
“I-”
An interruption to her answer as the Itzpapalotl dove into the conversation with some sort of emotional cry. Her question seemed to stand upon the others, beaming its own justice upon the situation.
“I'm sorry. I'm not entirely sure, but I imagine defeating the titans may bring an end to the adventure that you all desire to leave.”
She sucked in another breath, intimidating the bird from its perch on her fingers. With that another pause, to watch the bird flap away into the distance of the room.
“You'll have a choice. You can defeat them and harness their strengths, or contain them as to provide for this world just as they do now from their own tombs. I put it in your hands to make the right decision.”
Her voice rained down on the paladin below. She hoped to clear any confusion forced by the commando and his friend.

Information was important, but in order to even have the fine print to read they needed to be asking the right questions. Frustratingly, the woman's poetic words were vague in the actual content of their answers, and it was beginning to wear on his nerves.
Catharsis had been there for a while, arms folded and head bent while he listened. He watched the players scrambling over each other to get out their question, some even pushing each other out of the way. There was an odd kind of desperation in the air. Everyone had a question, but there would only be so many answers. He recognized some of the faces; the girl who had saved him back at Otohime, Carlo, and even Papilion.
That hellion was even here, the first to dive in and ask a question.
It was when Index spoke up and didn't have his question quite answered that Catharsis frowned, raising his head to look up at the caged woman. "Choices mean consequences." He said, trying to meet the eye of the NPC. "What are the consequences for either choice, for us or for this hellhole?" Someone else would have to ask the obvious 'how.' Catharsis' eyes were narrowed; it sounded like a trick to him. If containing the monsters somehow would provide for Gargantua, what would killing them do to the world they were all stuck in?
After all, 'may bring an end' only confirmed that she didn't know, and was of no use to him on that front.
// summary:: asked what the consequences are for either choice, for either the players or gargantua.
