[attr="class","bw-border"] [attr="class","bw-bg"] [attr="class","bw-title"]hard mode [attr="class","bw-desc"] introduction hard mode is an option available during raids, dungeons and certain events. roleplayers are given the chance to put their character's lives on the line in exchange for a chance to acquire rare rewards that would otherwise be unavailable. this is determined by the on-site rng, it is a 'luck of the draw' scenario that is (unless otherwise stated) final. no take-backs or do-overs. when your character dies, they die for good.
below you'll find the various different types of hard mode to get an idea of what you're up against.
DECEPTION Avoid falling into the opponent's trap. With a set amount of rolls made by the boss at the beginning of the thread, players will roll numbers against their target. If a player happens to roll the same number as one of the pre-established ones made by the boss, this player will die and/or receive no loot.
DUO Synergize with another player and hit the opponent in the same spot. Players will attempt to roll over a certain amount to avoid death. Any two players will also attempt to roll the same exact number as each other within their posts. If achieved before the boss is defeated, the boss will lose half of its base health. This feat can only be completed once. If successful, these two players also earn special rewards.
DEMOLISH Strike the opponent with a critical hit. Players will attempt to roll over a certain amount to avoid death. If a single player manages to roll 100, the boss will lose half of its base health. When using items, the added bonuses must reach 100 exactly, not over. This feat can only be completed once. If successful, this single player also earns special rewards.
DEVIATE Play the odds against your opponent. Players will roll once to see if they survive. If a player lands on an even number, they immediately parish and/or receive no loot. Players who land on an odd number remain safe, and do not die. Only the first roll determines life or death while the other two only contribute to taking down the target's health.
DIVINE three players must combine their efforts through a holy attack against the opponent. players will attempt to roll over a certain amount to avoid death. any three players will attempt to roll a number with a 7 digit in it or a number that equals 7 when the digits are added together. if achieved before the boss is defeated, the boss will lose half of its base health. this feat can only be completed once. if successful, the three players who rolled one of the sevens first will earn rewards.
