[attr="class","bw-border"] [attr="class","bw-bg"] [attr="class","bw-title"]RAIDS [attr="class","bw-desc"] introduction By design, a raid is type of errand or mission in which several people attempt to defeat one giant boss. The terminology spawned from the military definition which points at a sudden attack or a major siege on one common objective. This concept plays a major role for all of the players in Broken War Online. Groups of players working together to take down one giant beast speaks the entire essence of the game. It's the perfect way to earn crucial loot and make new friends on your character's journey, but it may also cost your character's life in the end.
HOW IT WORKS How raids work is actually quite simple. They're giant group threads where everyone can contribute in taking down the single boss. Heal your friends, defend your allies or just be the hero all the way in front dealing all the damage. The choice is yours to make and we give you the freedom to handle it in any way you wish. Staff will moderately post for the raid boss, but it's your job to continue the story and use bits of this boss to do so.
On top of this casual play, all raids come with a specific hard mode and a way to participate in it. Deciding to engage in hard mode will deliver bigger loot rewards, but it also puts your character's life on the line. Each game mode follows different methods based on a dice system so it's smart to be keen on each one before joining in on the fun. Additionally, all players playing in hard mode will have the option to take down the target's health-bar. If you manage to kill the boss before the thread ends, everyone taking part in hard mode will receive another special reward at the end. So again, the more you contribute to hard mode, the more rewards you earn in the end.
REQUIREMENTS In addition to the rest of the features, raids also come with a few requirements. First and foremost, you must always follow the rules of hard mode and never cheat when participating(we know when you do it). This is should be common sense when it comes to anything on the site.
Next up is your post requirements and summaries. All raids will carry some sort of post requirement, so you'll always need to reach this amount before your eligible for rewards (but you're always free to post beyond it). Between each of your posts, you'll need at least two posts from others players in there as well. This is to keep you from roleplaying with yourself and to communicate with others.
Summaries are mandatory in every post you make in the raid. These should consist of a short outline of your characters actions, with all actions involving the boss in bold. This makes it easier for everyone to keep up in the long run.
Another condition worth going over is mentioning other players in threads. It's a restriction that forces you to engage and converse with others during the raid. This keeps things social and interesting, while giving others an idea of what's going on.
