in order to master the art of spirit channeling, the spirit medium must learn the art of meditation: a key component in her magics. meditation is a passive trait that empowers a spirit medium's ability to use spirit channels. further mastery of her magic allows for stronger spirit channel utilization. this also allows the spirit medium to communicate with the dead and deceased that still roam the land, however this applies only to NPCs. [break]Level 1: evocation – this allows the spirit medium to cast spirit channeling spells. all spirit channel spells last for about three minutes and when the channel ends, either by the length of time it takes to pass or by interruption, the cooldown period is about two minutes. spirit channels have a large cast radius, about a 60 foot radius of the spirit medium, growing to 100 feet at level 5. each spirit channel has its own cooldown. channeling is interrupted by trying to channel another spirit, trying to attack using your weapon, or by being silenced / unable to use her skills. movement and taking damage does not stop the channel. [break]Level 2: spirit defense – using basic attacks now does not break the channel. [break]Level 3: twin spirit channel – this allows the spirit medium to channel two spirits at once. [break]Level 4: channel mastery – spirit channels now last up to four minutes, with the cooldown period being only a minute. [break]Level 5: indefinite channel – if the spirit medium casts only one spirit channel, it can be channeled indefinitely without needing a cooldown period.

[attr="class","a-cs-desc"]
a spirit channel ability that takes the souls of those who have drowned to aid her and her allies. the drowned spirits will emanate from her grimoire and find their way to any hurt allies, slowly curing their wounds for the duration. it appears as a purple liquid that envelops the site of the wound in order to heal it. while the effect is small at first, as the spirit medium grows in strength, so will the drowned spirits. [break]Level 3: Panacea – the drowned spirits now can remove a status ailment often from the afflicted, but only one per minute. [break]Level 5: Hygieia – so long as the drowned spirits are channeled, new status ailments are now protected against for the spirit medium’s allies.

[attr="class","a-cs-desc"]
a spirit channel ability that takes the souls of those who were poisoned to aid her against her foes. the poisoned spirits rush from her grimoire and create a toxic purple miasma that permeates the battlefield. the miasma does not have to be inhaled to take effect, as it can permeate the skin. the poisoned spirits protect her allies from the harm while letting her foes succumb. while weak at first, as the spirit medium grows in strength, so will the noxious miasma. [break]Level 3: Leech – allies recover their ability resource and stamina proportionate to the health lost by the foes in the miasma. [break]Level 5: Spore – with every round of channeling, a small delicate plant emerges somewhere on the battlefield that emits the same noxious miasma in a ten foot radius. these plants stay there even after the channel is over until destroyed or called back by the spirit medium. if destroyed by an enemy, it erupts in a large burst of concentrated miasma, poisoning any foe within a small range. foes affected by this concentrated variant are struck with a very potent and damaging yet fleeting poison, lasting only ten seconds or so. allies may also destroy the plant for a large adrenaline-like boost to their resource and stamina, but only for about ten seconds.

[attr="class","a-cs-desc"]
a spirit channel ability that takes the souls of those who have lost their minds to aid her and her allies. the forgotten spirits float out of her grimoire, swiftly drifting towards all her allies within range. The spirits manifest as a purple sparkle that covers the ally's entire body, as if covered in a fine glitter. This sparkle allows the allies to float in the air and fly for the duration of the channel, as if swimming through the air. This happens quickly however, as speed is unhindered. [break]Level 3: Airhead – Yeongmae may choose to have the floating effect on or off for only herself at will without having to channel it. Casting another channel does not break the effect. She does not benefit from any future level up effects when she is affected in this way. [break]Level 4: Anxiety – All allies receive a significant boost in their movement speed. Their movements also create significantly less noise, although speech is unaffected. [break]Level 5: Out of Your Sight, Out of My Mind – For the duration of the channel, enemies in the radius cannot see allies, as if they are invisible. If an ally during this time were to attack or use an offensive skill, they would be revealed to all enemies for the duration of the attack. After five seconds of no hostile action, allies seem to turn invisible to enemies once again.
