the element of surprise is a crucial skill for a thief and by erasing the sounds of their own footsteps, they will always carry this trait on their person. with this passive, the thief's body becomes significantly lighter to better improve their mobility and with it, they gain an additional effect that allows them to perform acrobatic tricks with ease. they are granted a 15% increase to their movement speed and evasion chance that scales with level as long as they are under the cover of shadows. within it's comfort, the thief gains extra range on their jumps, dashes, flips, and etc. up to the exact length of the shadow.

the signature ability of the thief class that has singlehandedly earned them a reputation as one of the most infuriating attackers in the game. this skill will snatch effects categorized as 'non-damaging' from enemies after application and will revert said effects only to apply it to the thief. if stolen, the skill is disabled for the duration. this can be used only when it is active and if stackable, will apply the stacks to the player. when used on an ally, instead of reverting their effects, the thief will instead copy it so long as they have the means to pay the cost. this ignores weapon type, but will not work on unique costs; only skills that use mana, energy, or health can be copied. even if the skill is replicated, the thief will not have knowledge on any other details pertaining to the skill. if used unwisely, it may backfire on them rather than benefit them. all stolen abilities will have their cost paid accordingly and most important to note, the thief does not 'learn' the skill, but merely takes it temporarily. this means they cannot use the stolen skill after the battle has concluded.

leaving nothing behind but a trace of wispy black smoke in their wake, the thief can blink to any enemy within their sights to land the killing blow. if the attack succeeds, but does not kill their target, they are granted another blink that will place them in any desired direction close to their target for a second attempt. the next attack with deal a critical strike and the first will deal an extra burst of damage to weakened enemies. if the thief succeeds in taking away the life of their target, this skill's 30 seconds cooldown is refreshed. this can also be used defensively to blink to anything associated with the thief's allies and in doing so, will give nearby allies a small boost to their luck, increasing their critical chance and evasion for 3 seconds.
