The boy noticed the whole in the net the moment he brought it up to the surface of the pool of fish, he was easily able to spot the hole missing in the net. Staring up at the fish npc dude in confusion for a moment Hendry would start to wonder if this was just rigged and that the guy was taking people money. Then again maybe the fish were just super strong and were chewing or just pushing their way through the net? Deciding to figure out which it was Hendry would toss him another 15 money before once again trying his luck at getting a fish.

Another pearlscale goldfish...
Of all the fish in the pond, Index couldn't say that he wasn't disappointed with a duplicate. A different kind of goldfish from the one he already has would be better, though at least the paper net he used just now did not fail him. He handed his payment for another net and readied himself at the edge of the pool. The water was filled with all sorts that the paladin could not even choose which particular one to set his eyes on. The seldom koi caught his attention, but of course, he guessed it would be harder to catch than the others.

Most of Aleister's time at the festival so far had been spent either inside the tower grieving his own personal loss, or going behind the tower if he needed to cry or something like that. He figured it would be a bit rude to do something that made noise in a place as silent as the otsukimi tower.
After all others were grieving there not just him. Trying his best to clear his mind at least for a little bit Aleister started wandering around to see the rest of the festival. Munching on...some kind of food that he found at one of the vendors he'd come to a stop outside of the goldfish scooping pound.
Not seeming to care too much about what he'd be doing or what kinds of fish there were Aleister handed over the 15 money to the vendor before trying his luck at grabbing a fish.

So... simply scoop up a fish using the provided shallow net... Sure, why not. Ater had experience catching fish in nets when he was cleaning up the aquarium at home, so how hard could this be? Apparently harder than he though as he saw some other players miss completely. Well, sucks for them, time to get his game face on! First thing's first, find a spot. Done. Now, check to make sure the net is sturdy. Done. Eye on the prize... big koi, aim for the koi, which seemed to be fish with the highest value. Aaaand... wait! Wait for them to bunch up. As fate would have it, his simple wish had been granted.
Another fish was added to his collection. Looking from a practical point of view, collecting these pets wasn't the most efficient way to spend his money or time. Unfortunately, Index had not been a practical man for most part. The greed for more goldfish had taken control of him as he quickly dispensed the payment for another paper net to the NPC manning the stall. Biting his lip, he eyed one particular fish. The slower ones were the easier targets after all. With one quick motion, he scooped from the pool of fishes and straight to the plastic bowl that was provided with the net.

In one swift motion Aleister moved his net through the golfish scooping pond. Grabbing up one of the fish and pulling it out within the same motion. Raising an eyebrow slightly at the fantail goldish in the net Aleister shrugged slightly as it was deposited into his inventory, He wasn't exactly sure what a fantail goldfish was but hell at least he managed to get one. Looking back in the pool again to try to see if there was anything that actually interested him Aleister would blink a bit at the sight of a koi fish swimming around. Deciding that he needed one of those for himself he'd hand 15 more money over to the NPC and try his luck at getting a fish again.

Beat wanted another Hammond. And this time, Hammond was just over the horizon, past the moon's light and within the tiniest ocean.
Holding his breath, Beat grasped the paper net. The fish swam serene. Their fins were like kites, waving seductively in the water. And man, Beat was seduced.
"Come to papa!" Beat said, and with a war cry, he assaulted the pool.

Finally, the paper fish net failed him. His complains manifested not in words, but in grumbles.This failure, however, wasn't enough to stop Index from continuing his quest for more goldfish. The koi would've been a great prize, but at the moment, quantity beat quality for the paladin. The opportunity to collect these fishes do not present themselves regularly, and it was only appropriate for Index that he made use of such occasion. Paying for another set of net, he loomed over the fishes in the pool with the equipment at hand. The greed was still there, and the only way for the paladin to stop was to get the fish he wanted.

Laughter bellowed out from Ater as he looked at his new catch. This was definitely one of the weirdest-looking fish he had ever set is eyes on. It was like it got stung by hornets in the eyes at least a dozen of times with how swollen it looked. He knew these things existed in the real world, in fact he used to have two of these in the aquarium when he was small. Watching these derpy-looking things was always entertaining. He looked at all the other fish and thought he could try his luck again. Maybe give it three tries, he had more than enough money for that, so why not, right? He paid for another try as his new pet floated around him, blowing some bubbles as it did so. 62XhcrbR

Raising an eyebrow slightly Aleister would pull his latest net out of the pool, being greeted with the sight of an empty net with a hole in it. "What the hell? Is this rigged or something.." The blue haired man blurted out in a mixture of anger and disappointment. He was used to the carnival games back home being rigged but didn't think that this would be. Then again everyone was just kind of trapped here till they kicked the bucket, he should of expected it. Tossing the npc another 15 money for a third try at the fish he'd simply blurt out "Whatever gimme another go." Before hastily dipping the third paper net into the goldfish pool.

The net went into the water, coming out in the surface with a fish. Although this already was the fourth one he got, a triumphant smile still showed itself on his face. It probably was already too much for him to keep, but the paladin still decided that he wanted more of them for his collection. He wasn't going to do anything to them and most likely will just keep them in his inventory until he needed to clear space for them. Besides, it only costed him 15 money per try. "Another," he demanded. Paper net in hand, he watched for another opportunity to kidnap another fish away from its family.

Smirking as he yanked the paper net out of the pond Aleister was greeted with the sight of a fish at the bottom of the net instead of an empty ass hole this time. Still smirking he'd deposit the new fancy goldfish into his inventory before reaching a hand up to scratch at the back of his head for just a moment. He wanted to keep trying to get these things but he was already a bit low on money thanks to that damned random roulette thing. Though a moment of thinking was just all he needed seeing as Aleister threw another 15 money the npcs way and tried his best to scoop up a darned koi.

The net broke once again, filling the paladin with utter despair. He hasn't said anything to the keeper of the stall, but the gloom was evident on his face when he stared at the hole on the net. The agony of trying so hard and being met with failure wasn't a new feeling for him at least. Quick to break the sadness, the paladin straightened his back and cracked his knuckles. Handing over the payment, he said, "One last try!" If this one breaks again, he'd be willing to quit this altogether. The money he wasted per try wasn't much, but they were starting to accumulate. Putting his hopes and dreams for a new fish, he dipped the net on the pool and scooped up something, hopefully.
