Drakka leaned on her arms over the pool of fish, eyes swimming in thought, as watery as the pool of creatures. Finally, the goldfish's keeper tapped her on the shoulder, presenting her a net, kind and understanding smile on his face, "Do you need a friend?" She felt a blip of irritation on her lips, scowling momentarily before snatching the net, "Sure, could do with a distraction."
...By now, all she felt now was an irritation with the fish, swiping influectually intimidating the water over, and over, and over again. A snarling cry broke through her lips as another fish managed to slither through her grasp, literally a second to be caught.
A burst of breath burst through her mouth as she gave on last scoop...

with a flick of the wrist she pulled the chubby goldfish from out of the water. "yes!" hex straightened from her squat and jumped in the air. "i got one!" hex took the fish from the scoop and held it between her hands, bringing it up to her face. "you're so cute!" the goldfish blew bubbles into her face tickling her nose. the caster scrunched up her face and stuck her prize into her inventory. one definitely wasn't enough. "another one!" hex waved her hand towards the stand owner and took another paper scoop. following her plan from last time, this time the woman's eyes followed the goldfish with the long flowy tail. With just a simple nod of his head and a poke at his menu the lightlord would purchase another go at the fish catching thing as the previous fish was sent to his inventory too. The moment that the next paper net was in his hand Hendry would dip it down into the pool in an attempt to grab the biggest fish he could find.

He stared at the fish swimming around much like a kid, crouching at the edge of the pool. He kept one as a pet during his childhood and the sight reminded him of such. The said goldfish, however, did not last long in his care. They usually don't anyways. At least in-game pets do not die, right? Index has not tried this before, though that was not to say he wasn't willing to do it. Besides, it wasn't like it's expensive. The chance to obtain an immortal fish was quickly taken, with the paladin taking his eyes off from the merchandise and towards the stall owner.
"I'd like a try. please," he said.

He was doing his best to enjoy the festival. It was funny how the game decided to torment them by having a bunch of players wiped out before having a festival to celebrate their deaths. He didn't care about the meaning behind what this festival was about. It wasn't too long ago that they were all standing around and dying one by one.
It was hard to put up a smile and enjoy the party but he was going to try his best; at least he was going to try for Theo. And as they walked together through the stalls, he noticed a small stand where a pool of goldfish were floating about. "Um....I'd like to try." Caritas handed the NPC the money and grabbed the paper net that was available. Crouching down, he placed the paper net within the pool and waited to see which one would come into the net.

His brief smile faded as he had released that whatever weight behind the net was merely water. He gave a crooked face to the stall keeper, who seemingly had remained optimistic. However Mustang at this point felt much like a fool with the bravado he had once showered among the crowd. Quickly he would think on his feet, some way to safe his image amongst the crowd of players and npcs. With a slide of his hand, he would flip net and dipping it back into the pool. This time much more instinctual with his motion, not aiming for the biggest now. Rather Mustang was looking for anything, anything would be better then nothing. Otherwise, this game must have been rigged. He wouldn't put it past a stall keeper to rig it to make some extra profit.

Then again, he was making a point of not paying attention to so much as the idea of planning that far ahead in his life. After all, what was the point? He put yet another fish in his inventory before grabbing another net. This time, he took his time with it, trying to let the distraction consume as much of it as he could. The best way to do that, it seemed, was to try to aim for the koi in the mix. And so, he waited for one of the bigger ones to show up before swiping for it, trying to let the thing swim right into the net in its confusion. XKiscJr2

It didn't really matter, though. The guy just grabbed yet another net and tried again. Part of him thought about the fact that this was probably how gambling addictions started, but the price was cheap enough that he didn't really care. He grabbed another net, and used the same technique as before, waiting and keeping an eye on the koi. It seemed that, even when he didn't catch one, the method worked out for him. That said, he was getting a bit tired of the whole thing. He'd probably quit soon. imexKvnA

Only to be greeted with the sight of a net with a hole in the bottom of it. It seemed that he was just destined to not fish up anything with that particular net. Frowning for a moment Hendry debated on whether or not he should try again or take the empty net as a sign that he should chill the hell out on getting fish. Which he obviously wasn't gonna do, sending another 15 money the npc's way Hendry would get right to work trying to catch a new fish with his latest net.

"You know what else is shit luck? This." As she ended her statement June would plunge the stall owner's head into the pool of fish. She kept it under there despite his struggles. A solid shifting of movement within Mustang's net now. Thankfully he was wrong at his thought of if the game was truly rigged. For it was not just any regular fish that he had gotten. Glancing down into the net a large fish swam in circles, squirming for it's escape. Sadly there would be no escape for his white and orange fishy friend. He felt lucky as he was able to claim it as his own. However after one victory, the idea of getting a fish for his friend was also a thought. It was only another 15 coin, so hey what's the hurt? Following the tactic he did before, Mustang stormed his net back into the pool, hoping for a score once more.

With one swift motion, Index caught a goldfish with the flimsy net provided by the stall keeper. It was fat and round and probably doesn't swim well considering its shape. They weren't useful too, judging from the item description when prompted in his UI, but Index still felt the need to obtain more of them. That fish he got needed friends to accompany it throughout its lifetime in his inventory since he probably won't find a situation where he needed them. "Another one." Handing over his cash, the paladin claimed another one of those nets made out of paper and waited for the opportunity to strike.
