Having wandered her way to some docks, The Cannibal looked around. It was her usual routine. Wander until she found something that looked nice, look at it for a while, then wander off somewhere else. Though the dock she had made it to was not the kindest on her feet, having given her a few splinters. But it was well worth it, looking up to see a magnificent boat.
"Ooooo, pretty boat." Her staring was cut short, when a quest notification popped up in front of her. "Oh! A quest!" Remembering the commando's orders for her, she quickly navigated to her guild menu, pulling up Drakka's information, and sending her a party request, as well as a message.
COME QUICK, THE BOAT IS LEAVING SOON! Was all it read, as well as a link to her location. Giddy with excitement, Akeno hopped between her bare feet, wincing as the splinters she'd sustained touched the floor of the docks. Not excruciating, but annoying, and still not enough to distinguish her excitement. She waited for her ally to arrive.

Meanwhile, Drakka was still stewing in her anger. The one bright side of it she wasn't tired anymore, she supposed that was a win, you know, if she wasn't stomping around and trying to grind her teeth into nothingness. Nothing was feeling good right now, even the scent of the sea, food, whatever, wasn't making her happy. She glared as a textbox message suddenly popped up in front of her, lips curling and moving to swipe it away before her eyes caught what the message actually consisted of. The boat ride quest? With the Cannibal? One reasonable part of her mind started to bubble up and conquer the more emotional and, though she'd never admit it, stupider parts of her head. All she had to do was sleep on a boat and kill whatever came on board. That was...easy, at least by her standards. She set off at a jog and would arrive before the boat set off. She offered a quick, " Hey." To Akeno, just to make sure she wasn't left behind, and swung aboard. It was a nice boat, free of splinters unlike the docks, and Drakka slid down onto the floor, nearly hidden down in the shade. She just needed to rest a bit, then this boat would be safe. akeno

Stepping from the unkind docks onto the surface of the sleek, clean vessel was a wonderful reward for The Cannibal's lowest extremities, having had them pinched and abused by the wood. After moving to board the vessel, Akeno sat in a rather peculiar spot. Not the most convenient for others passing through, she placed herself sort of in the middle of everything...
Beginning to pick the splinters out of her feet, she idly glanced up from time to time, looking around herself. It wouldn't be long before the boat set off, and she was excited to become one with the horizon. This excitement was rather apparent in her mannerisms.
"Boat ride, boat ride, boat ride!" She whispered to herself, biting her lip with giddiness. To her, it was less about the quest or the reward. In fact, she barely even considered the quest! But hopefully this boat ride would be more successful than her last, as this was not the commando's silly little raft.
And in moments, away they would set out, prepared to spend a decent bundle of hours on the open sea!

Drakka already hated today, the sea was an unforgiving monster and she was currently riding on a boat that would certainly be attacked sooner or later...and now she had that girl's irritating voice running circles through her mind. " Shut up. Shut up. Shut up." She whispered back at the exact same volume and pace, hoping she'd get the hint and, if not, at least getting some steam off. Shortly into the journey, she would lose her patience in a few seconds. She jumped up and started her pacing once again, hands shoved in her pockets and restlessly peering out into sea. Again, shortly after she'd lose her amusement and suddenly turned to Akeno, " Seriously, come on! What's wrong with you!? That's something weird, even I'm not like this, what's with you!?" akeno

Seemingly ignoring the comment about shutting up, The Cannibal continued picking piece of wood out of her foot. The only response she gave to the comment was an emotionless pout, which could've been in response, it perhaps it was just the discontentment of having splinters in her feet.
Nevertheless, she was spoken to again. Akeno, looking up with an almost empty glare, her eyes wide, mouth slightly ajar, stared towards the younger girl as she let loose yet again. The Cannibal wondered just how reoccurring these sort of outbursts would be, shrugging to herself in thought on the subject.
"I do not know what's with me." She shrugged again, giving that as her only substantial response, letting silence linger for a bit. "I think, before I came here, I had a little sister around your age. Hm... Maybe not, but I think I can remember her! Or maybe just a close friend. Who knows?" She then stood abruptly, walking to the edge of the boat, watching the waves, and chuckling to herself about some joke in her mind. "What of your family, hm?"
In speech, it was somewhat obvious how fragmented her mind had become, over the time she'd spent in the game. Something was with her, but not something she could explain, given the state of her sanity.
While they spoke, something stirred within the waters below, creatures beginning to splash about within the disturbance the boat left along the water. Truly, an unkind sea lurked beneath them. A sea they would soon enough begin to realize hid some murky, malformed horrors.

Drakka didn't expect much, and that's exactly what she got. A sigh escaped her lips as she visibly deflated, " Of course you don't know." She mumbled, despite her words choice, said statement seemed pretty genuine, lacking much of the sarcasm that most people expected from her, " Why the hell would you know, it's you!" She slumped against the wall, dragging herself to the ground. She nodded mutly to Akeno's blabbing account of some...friend...sister...in the game. They were dead. You know probably. It was the most natural explanation for whatever was up with the girl. A twinge of...something, rose in her throat, and she stifled it back down...at least until Akeno asked about family. Drakka looked up, Samantha smirked, " I got a badass family, they're great, brothers and sisters, it's awesome." She wavered slightly, grumbling to herself momentarily, " L-look, seriously, y-you can't say anything about this...they pushed me into this game, they were great...tch...they were the greatest people anyone could ever know. Not that you met them..." She was bragging, plain and simple, but there was a tired undertone to the whole thing. She really hoped the crazy girl just tuned out or something, Drakka was already getting embarrassed by the small information she already given. Honestly, she was relieved when a shape danced into the water, putting the ship into panic. Drakka puffed up immediately, previous vulnerability gone as she was replaced by her wolfish figure. " Well, enough of that family crap. C'mon, let's show Rex what we can do!" Humanoid forms kicked through the ocean waves, blue and swift, wielding terrible weapons... akeno

"Aw." The Cannibal smiled to herself, listening to the description that the younger girl gave her of her family. While she was not too emotionally complex herself, she enjoyed observing such strong emotions. Perhaps a bit of playful jealousy lingered within her. It seemed The Cannibal was not exclusively satisfied by consumption of flesh, she was also rather satisfied by the display of powerful human emotion. The little, propounding somethings that she hadn't the opportunity to experience. "It's nice to see you feel greatly." Anyone to the moon and back could have probably worded it better than her.
It was in that moment that a slimy, three foot tall, humanoid shaped creature flailed up out of the ocean, and onto the boat just beside the wolf girl. Blanketed in a shiny, thick substance that stuck to it's skin, it was frog-like in shape. With a spear in it's hand, it spun it's weapon towards the wolf girl, before a pebble clanged with the spearhead, knocking it wide.
"Careful, friend." Akeno, slingshot in hand, spun around carefully, spotting more of the creatures hopping up from the waters onto the boat. It seemed that combat was upon them.

Drakka didn't mind the fact that Akeno seemed happy about her care for her family, but the weird way she worded it made her feel a little stupid. Then again, she had told Akeno under a rather cruel assumption that she wouldn't listen. Drakka herself wasn't listening as a frog-man jumped next to her, but Akeno certainly was. Drakka ducked as the pebble flew overhead, pushing her arms on the ground as she shifted into the Lobisomem, and not a moment to soon. She swept her tail over the deck, tripping the amphibious creature as it prepared to spring at Akeno, sending it sprawling and gurgling. " Thanks." She snorted, " Don't let them on board, if I get too big or too many get on, it'll sink." As if on cue, two more started to clamber onto the ship, but there was still time to launch them off if Akeno so wanted. Drakka herself craned her neck and hissed as the enemies instantly focused on them, raising tridents and spears. They weren't huge, her current size was sufficient, and so she pounced. She stomped threatningly as she approached, swiping one aside as it charged, and seizing the fallen enemy by the throat and shaking it viciously. A quick claw on its leg tore it in two, and an enemy was gone. More were coming, and Drakka grew... akeno

Chuckling to herself, The Cannibal did enjoy the bit of excitement that came with conflict. This boat trip was certainly filled with things that she would enjoy thoroughly! Pulling out her knife, she turned to charge into some that were rising up on the other side of the boat.
She sliced the first across it's torso, raising her foot up to extend her knee, sending the little slimy creature tumbling over the railing off of the side of the boat. Then, a second had made it's way behind her. Turning to dodge it's spear, Akeno sliced the throat of it, reaching underneath to grab it by the collar and the groin, throwing it harshly over her head, off the boat.
"Uh-oh..." Turning to look around herself, there were four spears pointed at her. It had seemed she wasn't fast enough, and had gotten surrounded in the meantime while she defeated the first two. With a sigh, The Cannibal waited for an idea to come to her, attempting to avoid as many of the spear jabs as she could, as the weak attacks pricked away at her hp.

Drakka strained under the weight of various enemies as they dogpiled her, one stabbing at her legs to try and make her fall. Finally, she relented and rolled to the side, hearing a mechanical pop as one vanished into pixels. She looked up as Akeno was swarmed, starting forward only to have a group of enemies try to block her way, gurgling viciously. Her pupils narrowed at their intrusion, but one look at Akeno's HP spoke volumes of her danger. Drakka vanished into the shadows, weaving through the enemies feet and springing back up the moment she was in range. She bit down on one, raising onto two legs to smash the other into the deck, taking advantage of her sudden growth as her abilities slowly grew. The bit enemy vanished into her throat as she swallowed it down, wincing at the taste. A shadow came to life and fought ferociously for a few seconds, however it's life didn't last long before it vanished again through a terrible blow to the head. Drakka herself wasn't biting off more than she could chew, a gaggle of enemies swarmed over her body, stabbing and clinging to her fur and scales. As fast as she could attack, her Devour wasn't healing her fast enough, and the enemies kept coming. " Shit! Damn! Get off!" She roared, thrashing frantically. akeno

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]Rex obviously wasn't lying when he said he'd been keeping an eye on his guildmates. As stubborn and nasty as he was, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself if they'd gone out of their way to complete a mission together and died because of it. They'd been making progress, learned a few things about one another and that was enough to satisfy the soldier. So while they were getting swarmed by nasty sea dwelling assholes with spears, he'd sent out one of his attack drones. Up until now it had been in recon mode, merely observing until the shit show started, and it shifted to it's brutal assault mode. The buzzing Aerial machine blasted the enemies with a hail of machine gun fire, and fired carefully placed rockets into the water to try and stop any more of the nasty things from getting on the boat. The drone would provide support for akeno and drakka as long as it was operational, carefully fluttering around in sweeping attack waves to hopefully remove some of the pressure they'd been locked under. It wouldn't be enough to end the conflict, but hopefully it was an edge they needed to gain control of the situation. Just where Rex was hiding was left unknown, and they wouldn't find him if they went looking either...Not like they had time! -EXIT- [attr="class","s arenotes"]- NSFW!!!!- NOTES:The drone is all yours guys! Having two of her surrounding attackers wiped out by the hail of bullet-fire from above, she had the room to spread herself out. Stepping back, as the other two approached her, she stepped back cautiously, placing herself in a strong stance with her left foot forward. In a quick, but not so powerful maneuver, she managed to kick the spear out of the thing's hands, and bring her knife down into it's head. Then, she merely ducked under the incoming spear stab, landing an elbow in the other's stomach. It wasn't enough to kill the thing, but it kept it at bay for now.
"Thanks, gun bot!" Akeno smiled, waving to the flying contraption as she dashed towards the other side of the boat. Amidst it all, she gave it a wink, before returning her attention to the final ones still alive around the wolf girl. She launched herself forward, tackling herself onto a spear in an array of pixels, but withstanding the blow and striking ruthlessly at the collapsed enemy. Pulling the spearhead from her stomach, as it had broken off of the spear, she stood.
"You okay, buddy?" She chuckled, "Don't die or I'll have to eat ya." Reaching back to pull her slingshot from her bag, she knocked a pebble into the forehead of an approaching creature, who was coming after the other girl.

Drakka startled as bullets peppered the enemies on her back, jumping and causing the deck to bend under her weight as an explosion rang out, that was definitely Rex! Briefly, she looked up at the drone and around, expecting to see Rex hanging around. This thought process quickly flew out the window the moment more enemies swarmed her. Another explosion scattered the army, and Drakka growled more, the wood creaking under her feet. Hurriedly, she started slashing at them with no real regard for her safety, as if this ship sunk she wouldn't be able to carry both herself and Akeno back, it was too far out. Her ears perked up as Akeno talked, and she hissed out a, " Why!?" Before a hastily thrown spear caught her around the snout, the thrower was quickly snatched up and swallowed. Instinctively, she stuck close to Akeno, letting out a sharp growl as she let the drone do its job. A lucky shot smashed into the drone, while it still flew and shot, it was clearly taking damage, and that's when Drakka stepped in. She barely left Akeno's side and would follow her as she fought, defending her from enemies and Devouring any injured enemies. akeno

Almost back to back with the wolf girl, with the two beginning to be surrounded, The Cannibal knew that this was not a good position to be in. Suddenly, a bullet shot down from the drone that pierced the skull of one of the incoming amphibious things. Akeno smirked, seeing it as an opportunity.
"This way!" She launched into the opening, jumping on the one to her left, seeing as the spear was no longer pointed at her. It was slain quickly, with little effort from The Cannibal. Then, carrying her momentum forward, she was able to catch another off guard, ending it swiftly with three sudden pierces into it's neck.
The gap she'd created was easily large enough. Only about a dozen of them remained. Gurgling up from her stomach, a slimy projectile shot from The Cannibal's maw. This ball of grossness exploded on the first one it hit, covering the two beside it, as well as itself, in a sticky, acidic liquid. This wouldn't kill them, but at least it would hold them off temporarily.
"Not too many left. Just hope there aren't any more waiting to come out. Or any bigger!" The thought came to her mind, as she swapped back to her slingshot, firing a shot and taking a defensive step backwards. "Oh, do you think the Loch Ness monster is in this game?! Whoa, that'd be awesome!!"

Drakka lunged forward with two paws extended, impaling two enemies on her reinforced claws. Their squeals only lasted an instant before they burst into multicolored pixels. Her tail waved ceaselessly as she fought, even if the drone didn't shoot anything that tried to jump her, her tail would be a mistake to approach. Still, that didn't mean some didn't try, occasionally hooking her tail with their spears only to get thrown overboard. She shuddered at Akeno's blabbing about more enemies, and as if on cue, she grew another time. The wood bent under her weight as she spread her body carefully, trying not to fall through the deck. Without thinking about what would happen, she chomped a few enemies all at once, shaking them and tearing most in half. She thrust her head forward, throwing another bunch off before they could fill up the ship. Drakka looked down at her feet, where a new shadow was being born and launched into battle beside Akeno, " I-I can't move!" She howled, " Hurry, or I'm gonna be the one to sink this ship!" She couldn't transform back, with the damage she took and the drop in stats it'd result in, that'd be suicide. akeno
