JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS The story of Farfalla was as sad as it was common. A creature tasked with protecting, and one that's done her job for years on end only to become outdated and eventually removed. Djinn couldn't help but feel a connection to the beast he was tasked with putting down. Everything was useful until it wasn't whether it was a machine, a guardian, or even a soldier. And the fates that awaited all these things were one and the same. Djinn... or perhaps Dino was choosing to give this creature an end that was honorable. The creature was slated for death and if not by his hands then by who's? He'd at least give the respect that was due to the creature before slaying it, then another who'd kill it solely for loot. Then again, perhaps he was wrong. This beast was made of nothing more than pixels and bytes. anyways, nothing in this game other than its prisoners had anything that really constituted as a soul, even though he'd experienced moments that said otherwise. There was no true history behind this creature. This guardian was only an idea, a figment of someone's imagination materialized. The commander stood at the head of the forest deep within he could hear angry cries and wing flaps deep within the darkness of the brush. He knew better than to traverse the wilderness alone, he was getting stronger as the days went by, true. But even then he wasn't nearly strong enough to take down a full bounty on his own, and if he was the commander surely wasn't confident in his abilities to that extent. And so he'd fired an open party invite into the world in hopes someone would come and assist with this murder, for lack of a better word. And so the man waited silently at a crossroads, one path leading deeper into the grove and the other leading toward the deserts. Eyes focused he'd lean against a tree scouring any information he could find about the once great protector. word count ✖ @ ✖butterfly soldiers

[googlefont=Open+Sans] oh, you talking to me? [attr="class","firstfriend"] try dying, then I can’t get you to shut up eongmae somehow wandered into the Faywood, just trying to escape the constant voices that bothered her. Help me, I'm dead, and you can hear me, help me was something she heard every day, all the time. There was no way she knew of that would help silence those voices. Hell, even a silence spell wouldn't shut them up. They're pixelated spirits who needed some level of fake reassurance in order to feel like their data mattered. But to Yeongmae, it doesn't, not in a game that rewards you with permadeath. When she stepped foot into the Faywood, the spirits were not as loud. Perhaps, in places bustling with digital life and peace, these spirits could find refuge and leave this world. A brief second of peace washed over Yeongmae, and a small yet insignificant smile came across her face... which quickly ended when she came across a man with similar complexion as her, seemingly waiting for something or someone. Perhaps this is what caused the spirits to stop bugging her? The presence of another? Yeongmae heard the terror that awaited in the woods, and perhaps this man was waiting for the perfect time to strike. It was that moment that she saw his party request, open of course. She accepted it and quickly made a snarky remark in retaliation "Don't you think it would be nicer to send me a personalized invite? I feel offended." | ✉ | Accepted party invite by djinn.

WHEN THE FIRST SNOW HAS FALLEN, AWAY I'LL GO. [attr="class","monsterexo"]Irritation had begun to set in, as somehow, somehow he'd gotten himself lost. No thanks to the information given to him by a few passerby NPCs on the road, he'd wandered off the path and ended up near the... "Faywood?" A frown creased the corner of his lips at the name, though to be honest, it didn't ring any bells to him. Judging by the name, however, he could hypothesize that it might be filled with faerie folk; like fairies, pixies, and the likes. Idly, he walked on as he wondered what kind of things they dropped, if anything. He needed money, for one thing. He hoped it was money. Though his aimless wandering may have been cut short and his calls answered as an invite suddenly appeared in his face. Bi-colored eyes blinked in surprise at it at first, before a hesitant finger went out to accept it, and it wasn't soon after he'd found the man who'd sent it, followed by the eerie appearance of a woman as well. The Exotic inhaled a breathe and closed his eyes with lethargic gusto to scratch at his head. He had stayed quiet as he happened upon the pair, allowing the woman to shoot off her snide remark to the other before he announced his presence, at least to her. He assumed Djinn had already seen him. "I find you being offended quite humorous, actually." That rich boy mouth couldn't stop itself from addressing her first as he sauntered closer to them, waving his hand in a submissive gesture of a greeting. "To be honest, I'm grateful someone besides myself was out here." Though he refused to admit the fact he really was out here was because he was, in fact, lost. djinn Yeongmae Notes; 1/8, He's fabulous. JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS A lone gold eye opens when a player finally appears. A woman around his age it seemed, judging by her weapon or lack of the man could only assume she was some sort of magic user. He says nothing as she moves closer his face unreadable as she speaks. As the woman gave her quip another would appear behind her a pink-haired man who seemed more than slightly flamboyant. The man moves with a certain stride stopping behind the woman and responding before the commander has a chance to. "Very clever, both of you." before the shenanigans continued he'd end the quips in favor of getting a move on. " I go by Djinn, it's a pleasure working with both of you." He'd move forward toward the woman offering his hand for a shake, before moving to the lighter-skinned male and offering a hand to him. His greetings may have been by-the-book, but he was a by-the-book type of guy, at least when it came to formalities. "I figure you're both here for the job so I'll give a quick briefing. Our enemy is the guardian of the forest, Farfalla a giant butterfly. It's known to favor wind-based attacks most of which will afflict you with poison if you're not careful. Rumor has it that seeing as it's a forest guardian fire and ice attacks are particularly effective." He'd place his hands behind his back at attention before ending the briefing, "Any questions?"

[googlefont=Open+Sans] oh, you talking to me? [attr="class","firstfriend"] try dying, then I can’t get you to shut up go by Yeongmae,” she said, reaching for Djinn’s hand before looking back at the pink-haired man. ”I have also heard of it’s abilities. While I do not offer status ailment cures, I can restore our health over time. While doing so, I will be unable to assist in attacking. I figured that you two could do the dirty work while I lavish in the luxury of spellcasting.”Yeongmae, while sarcastic and blunt, was still ready to offer her services. She may push others away, but often times it’s to prevent them from really knowing her and vice versa. They could die at any moment, and so it’s best to not get too attached so she thought. But Djinn definitely seemed like the type of guy who would get stuff done. Commanding and punctual, it gave her a respect for him that perhaps the pink-haired one could earn as well, given the chance. ”Oh, pinky, you have no idea how I long for that feeling,” she said as Djinn went to greet him, referring to his earlier comment. Before she could say more, she decided it was best to wait to explain her situation. For all she knew, this would be the last time she would see any of these guys. That is, if they even survived this bounty. She peered deeper into the forest, trying to sense if there was anything she could visually see that could help them out. Any form of cover, foliage, or disguise might help them get closer to the beast, but the beast itself might be able to sense them regardless. It couldn’t hurt, though… But perhaps Djinn could provide some answers. ”Would we be able to sneak up upon it for maybe a form of tactical advantage?” [googlefont=Montserrat][newclass=.firstfriend]z-index:2; position: relative;[/newclass]

[GoogleFont=Old Standard TT] WHEN THE FIRST SNOW HAS FALLEN, AWAY I'LL GO. [attr="class","monsterexo"]The man who had sent the invite gave his name, as did the woman, before he did so, as his attention and eyes wandered elsewhere to exploring the trees momentarily (and perhaps avoiding the woman's gaze) until he turned back to see a hand stretched out to him. Eyes trailed up to Djinn's face curiously, before he shook the man's hand, and allowed a smile to form on pale lips, if only for a moment. A skeptical brow raised in response to the nickname he was called, referencing his pink hair as Djinn began to explain their circumstances and who they were going up against, and patiently he awaited to speak, even after the woman's question was said. "My name's Flamingo, or just Flam, if you want." Since he hadn't the time in the beginning to state who he was. "If you want to go that route, we can do what she's asking, and at least not have to worry about an attack from this Farfalla if it spots us and attacks first. As long as you're in proximity close enough to me I have a passive that absorbs the entire attack." He paused, before adding a snippet more. "And has a small chance to also send the attack back onto it, although it'll only work for one turn. And that's if it hits us first." Bi-colored eyes shifted between Yeongmae and Djinn, though he took note of the military stance of repose the man had, like a born leader. "I can't do much in the way of attack power, but I can place an evade status ailment on it, if that helps any." Another smile was given to the pair. "On that note, do you think it spawns smaller creatures? Or aggros any nearby enemies as well?" djinn Yeongmae Notes; 2/8 Flam gives some info on his passive and his status parabola active, questions yeongmae's nickname because he's touchy about his fabuhair, and then asks Djinn if he knows if Farfalla aggros things nearby and or spawns small creatures for aid.
