[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]There was a central port in Hook's Cove, which was a perfect spot for ruffians and sea dogs looking to restock before pillaging the seas. A roughly built town with far to much old wood and rusty metal, the crystal blue water was the only redeeming quality for tourist or travelers. It was here that Rex found himself partaking in a rather...interesting event that could net some easy money. There was a large warehouse crammed full of scalawags, pirates, and generally bad people just outside a giant metal cage. It didn't take much to assume what they were doing; Pit fighting. Now the Soldier's class wasn't exactly great at melee combat, but he had more than enough IRL experience to shit stomp some kids. But what really got his attention was the fact they had a duo league...And he knew a certain guy who loved to punch people... There was already a match going on, the Sound of burly men grunting through punches and tossing each other around caused an uproar of cheers and banter. The Commando was seated on a bench somewhere in the fighter's area, cigarette between his teeth as he puffed on it roughly, hands tightening the gloves on either of them. He'd sent a message to gauntlet earlier that day....Asking him to join his little fray...Would he come? “Alright, I'm here.” Gauntlet spoke from the Commando's rear, but slowly grew louder and he grew closer. “What do you want?” The question left his mouth once his position stabilized near the end of the bench. He didn't sit, but his his arm stationed an empty hand on the back side of the bench to hold the rest of his weight. The bruiser wasn't one for social calls, but he was evolving, just as much as the world around him. The commando on the other hand seemed to do whatever he wanted, when he wanted to. Gauntlet liked to think they were much different, but really in the end they weren't. Either way, just being in the aura of a high-level player was satisfying in a way. It felt safe. If one could make himself worthy of time, then maybe they could use each other for future raids. The fight, on the other hand, took to something dirtier. These giant burly npcs were flinging left hooks and uppercuts like an archer shot arrows. Gauntlet usually wasn't one for npc relations, but it was hard to look a way. They were good at it, and that's what made it so fascinating.

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]The soldier gave a wide grin towards Gauntlet now that he'd showed up. Standing himself up and planting a hand at his hip, “..The fuck you think I want?” He toyed, turning some to view the cage and it's combatants, “No skills or weapons in there, just your fists. You wanna make some easy money, right?” Rex baited before moving to pat the guy on the back and head towards the gateway taking them inside the caged arena.
The kid was a total punk, but he knew he probably wouldn't be so eager to miss a chance to beat the shit out of some burly NPCs in a playground that was dedicated to his class. They couldn't get inside yet, with the current round still going on...but it was probably going to be barely a few minutes before they'd be in there.
If Gauntlet lined up at his side he'd flick a corner of his sharp blues on the guy, still an arrogant grin on his feminine face, “...You a boxer or some shit outside the game? You're reckless as hell, but you've got talent...I'll give you that.” Rex chattered idly, folding his arms to his chest and looking again towards the brawlers inside the prison of steel.

Gauntlet's weight shifted onto the other leg. His eyes sidelined the commando's rhetorical question, but fired back to the cage fighters once he was finished. The invitation was obvious, at least to Gauntlet, but it also didn't make him any less interested. Minigames were fun for the most part, but this was on a whole other level of comfort for the bruiser. This is where he belonged. His eyes focused harder on the caged fighters as his mind skewed through the opportunity. “Just a hobby.” His words were solid, but quick to respond. No one asked about the real world anymore. It was strange, and almost invasive by description, but Gauntlet would pass it by as it was nothing. Surely his friend meant nothing by it, and he would refuse to question the higher-level player's intentions. It all just a game right? To push the conversation in another direction, golden hues marched across the dimensions of their location. An attempt fully designed looking for any kind of registry. His pupils stopped once his mind found a solution to his cause. Why search for it when kingrex had it all figured out. “Are we signing up?” He spoke suddenly, but just as playful as the commando had been so far. Usually he was one to speak for himself, but the only purpose to join this small little game was for the competition.

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]Rex grinned at the punk's short answer, he wasn't much for talking, was he? Any time he got a chance to talk about the outside work, Carlo took it. He never wanted to forget what really being alive meant, and that this was all just a fucking fake hell hold that needed to end. It gave him a stomach ache that some people were seriously content with just being trapped in here. Wasn't that as pathetic as just giving into suicide?
That was probably a dramatic comparison. The man pointed a thumb towards a display sitting just off to the side above them. Sure enough it had both Rex's name and Gauntlet's on it, and almost eerie on cue there was a loud buzzer and the gate at their front started to quickly rise in a grinding of chains. “Already did, hot shot...” He toyed before reaching to pat his back and move inside the caged arena.
The sound of a roaring crowd couldn't help but get your blood boiling. So many people either wanting you to fail or succeed for their own selfish bets, how thrilling. Rex jumped a little on his heels, rolling his arms forward and clenching his fists. He was more than ready to start kicking some ass.
“HEEEEEEEEEEEEERE WE GO! ARE YOU BASTARDS READY FOR ANOTHER BLOODY BEAT DOWN?!” An announcer roared over them from above the cage. Sure enough the waves of people outside the fight went bat shit crazy, cheering and flailing around in excitement. Their opponents had just made their way towards the center of the ring as well. They were both tall and gruff looking seamen; Hairy and bearded with muscles that were bigger than both Gauntlet's head and Rex's for that matter...
The announcer again spewed out some hype before he'd start a slow countdown from five. Carlo shifted a corner of his sharp gaze on Gauntlet, looking a bit more focused and serious than before, “Take it easy, alright? They're just testing us out for later rounds...I've seen this shit before.” He warned, flicking his gaze back on the two men.
3... 2.... 1...
The fight was on!

Mixed feelings were the best way to describe the bruiser's position. For one, it was exciting to participate in the cage fight. But then again, he didn't enjoy having anyone sign him up for anything. Again, it was invasive. How could he argue it though? Not only was he interested, but the crowd's cheers walled away any escape he could ever plan. He'd have a hard time treating it like a pain in the neck, but he'd do his best to do so if the option arose. “Later rounds? Are we gonna over look the fact you signed me up in the first place?” There it was. A verbal blow, but a friendly one that. Andrew turned his face from his partner and then to his target, who was already making his first move. His sweaty hairy chest seemed almost too real for an npc, but everything was just as real anyway. Bare feet rippled and creaked against the soft floor as they picked up momentum. The man-beast fired a right-hook at his target's white mane, but then the player fired right back. A tad dodge to the left sent his face just a few inches away. With that, a back palm to the elbow released an opening for a swing that knocked the figure's head back. The npc's steady stumble back into the cage wall created the same distance between them they once had. Gauntlet was obviously ignoring orders, as he found all the fun in just showing off.

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]The commando let a typical grin slither to his face when Gauntlet spat an invisible verbal punch. The stubborn idiot was probably going to get more then what they could chew on, but whatever. Rex had forced them into this, so if Gauntlet wanted to play hard, then they'd play hard. The other man, Roberto was quick to charge at the Commando with a beefy snicker.
Carlo merely sidestepped himself in a fluid motion, hands reaching to swat at an incoming punch to deflect it's impact. The burly man threw a knee towards him as well, but again Rex shoved at it and skipped backwards to avoid any real damage, “Quit dodging you coward!” The greasy long haired man growled.
The soldier's eyes were quick to watch every movement, and his body was hunched down in a very combative and trained posture, you could tell he was from the military. He prowled the brawler like some kind of patient animal. Unlike the Bruiser, the soldier was far better suited for game changing grapples that could make his enemies submit.

The bruiser's face remained still and calm. Emotionless the winds of the situation, but his eyes played a moving beat to his target and the spectators behind him. Georgie, his foe, was nothing but sweat, pants and a sailor hat. Although greasy by extension, it only added to his ability of sliding through grapples and other slippery situations. If set against the commando, the duo's situation would have been much darker than it was. “Let's go.” His voice echoed through the crowd and called upon the npc's action. To add to the flavor, the bruiser even nodded his fingers on his right hand. A loud gurgling roar from the pirate's throat erupted past the audience as his feet sought to close the distance once more. Again, with the same hook from the same location. This wasn't even a challenge. Gauntlet played it like the same way before. A sudden dodge, a shove to the elbow, and a counter punch to the center of the face. It almost looked majestic, or at least the way he presented it. But this time, he wasn't finished with his onslaught. More slaps and claps followed the initial blow, against Georgie's wet slimy flesh. One to the shoulder, and another to the arm as he pulled up the protect himself. He finished the punches with a single blow to the kidney as he swerved to the side, a play at his own 3-hit combo skill. Georgie refused to fall. One final charge from the attacker sandwiched his foe between his arms and the chain-link fence.

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]Rex kept playing with his food, back stepping and crouching below the brute's punches to further his agitation. Cold and hunting hues watching closely until he was finally backed into one of the cage's walls. “Gotcha now, kid!” The ruffian bellowed as he charged at Carlo with a wide right hook. That was the recklessness the commando was waiting for, and he'd finally found his opening.
Another smooth dip had him dodge, though this time the soldier rocketed up and wrapped his own arms around the extended limb that had collided into the iron fence behind him. One good pull and jump allowed him to slither his legs around the thick man's neck and spin him down to the ground in an armlock. Rex growled as he pressed the under part of his thigh towards the man's neck, arching his back and pulling his arm to increase the grapple's effect.
“You're done!” The Commando growled out, though the brawler wasn't giving in as he flailed his other arm in struggling punches towards Rex, and he'd even get enough leverage from his pure size to lift Carlo up off the ground and slam him into the hard arena's floor. The soldier didn't let go, and just kept on squeezing...He'd have to give up eventually, right?

Gauntlet had the advantage on this one. His target was cornered and pressed against the edge, and more than one at that. Pop, pop, pop. Another three punches echoed against the brute's flesh and splashed bits of sweat into a thick mist. Georgie's skin spread against the fence more and more after each hit. There was no out. There was no way he was going to win against a player like this, but he wasn't going to give up. No, not yet. “Get off me!” The humanoid beast pressed back as he shouted. Palms collided with the Bruiser's shoulder, spawning a short distance between them once again. It wasn't much, but it was enough room for Georgie to act again. Another throw from the right with a simple jab, but fierce nonetheless. Success. He finally hit the player, but he knew little of his mistake. The bruiser quickly recoiled by slipping a hand over his chin where the blow was made. He soaked for a moment in the mistake as the crowd grew silent. Georgie's own surprise left him open. Pity too as things were just getting good. Gauntlet fired back. One to the chest, one to the gut and finally the finisher; a single rocketed jab to the face's center. His target hobbled backwards and collapsed against the fence, passing out. That fight was over, but what about the commando?

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]Rex growled with intensity as he pulled on the brute's arm up until he heard it snap, and the large sweaty brawler quickly roared out in pain, giving up whatever fight he had left. The Commando let him go and rolled to a side with a few panted breaths, though even with a snapped arm the guy wasn't giving up yet, he'd just baited the soldier into letting him go under the guise of a surrender.
He reached out to grab Rex by the leg yanking him over and attempting to pin him under his knees and pelt him with punches, but the commando was quick to wiggle and fight his legs around the man's neck, locking him up and squeezing until his face turned blue and he went limp, choked out and whether he was alive or dead wasn't the soldier's problem.
With a snarling toss he'd free himself of the dead weight and lazily drag himself back to his feet, partially gloved hands reaching to fiddle with his ponytail, making sure it wasn't going anywhere before he flicked a glance over to Gauntlet. Of course the guy would of finished his opponent quicker, and with less trouble.
He'd a get grin before the crowd went wild and the announcer chimed in over their cries, “That was hardly a challenge for these two! What a blowout! Someone clean up that trash so we can move on!” The opposite gate to them opened and in came a pair of angry looking goblins, the small creatures didn't seem threatening though towards the players and instead moved to pick up the two downed NPCs and drag them outside the arena.
“ALRIGHT! How about we turn it up a notch then?! Let's throw in the king of kings! A fan favorite of the Arena who's promised to bring down BOTH of these puny humans by himself, Dracooooon!” The announcer's voice trailed off as the crowd again exploded with excitement.
Both Rex and Gauntlet could probably feel the cage's floor rumble at footsteps, and from the other gate came a ferocious monstrosity of scales and spikes. A giant lizard man who had to crouch nearly on all fours to even fit inside the arena came stomping inside, heavy breaths audible enough to make your skin crawl. His muscles looked like they could deflect bullets, let alone punches from a couple of flesh bags.
The soldier instantly frowned with sharp teeth pouring out in distaste. This was the kind of shit he was worried about! Hesitant steps were taken backwards to give him as much room as possible from the beast, hopefully Gauntlet was having more confidence about this next fight than he was. The Lizard man rolled his neck and cracked knuckles in his claws, standing tall and proud, “...I'm going to eat both of you! Get ready!” He taunted with a low and dangerous voice, growling in a taunt and hunching down some to wait for the count down to end...

With a rotating shoulder and a stretched arm, the hero turned to his comrade finish off his side of the deal. He made mental notes of his physical expertise, mostly noting the commando's grappling skills and lack of mercy. Gauntlet found it all very appropriate, and also cunning. Obviously it was something to expect of a player so high in levels, but the white-haired junior had no interest in copying what he saw. Survival was reliant on the tools you had, it wasn't about following someone's footsteps. A sudden burst from the crowd was chased by some sort of announcement. It didn't calm the crowd by any means, it only made it worse. For the bruiser, he could barely make out a word but it was quickly solved by the opening of the gate. Two minor creatures took to removing the failed champions, but a new challenger rushed in after their retreat; Dracon. “We're supposed to do this without our weapons?” He spat out another question at the higher-leveled player. Wasn't it his responsibility to know these things in the first place? Was this really a good idea? Minor games like this in gargantua never carried the option of death, but pain was just as scary if not worse. Gauntlet position himself with the wait as the reptilian-like figure made himself comfortable in the ring. “Listen. I'm going to keep him busy, you look for a weak spot!” He spoke just loud enough for kingrex to hear. Funny words from an attacker, but that was the fun of being a bruiser; high-damage output with your life always on the line. His legs worked against the momentum of Dracon's taunt, but covered the distance just like normal. A hasty swerve to the left had the hero placed next to the monster's side with a clear opening to his ribs. He sunk into his shoulders as his fists fired off like bullets, spraying into the monster's torso. Hopefully they'd all hit.

He's nothing but muscles and scales!” Rex snarled back with sharp teeth before scattering on all fours when the dragon man swiveled in attempt to cut the brawler off in his rush. His long tail whipping over the Commando with enough wind to stagger him briefly. This was going to be impossible!
The beast took the blows to the ribs with a low snarl of pain, though it was hardly enough to even phase his powerful movements. The arm away from the side he'd impacted would come flailing towards Gauntlet in an attempt to swat him away. If that wasn't enough, he'd also flinch a knee forward, crowding the area where he was pelting his side.
All the while Rex stumbled on all fours and back to his feet, teeth clenched as he tried to get behind the big bastard and look for some way to catch him off guard. Usually in cases like this the only option you had was the head....He'd tilt his gaze upwards as it felt like looking up to the tip of a mountain...how the hell were they going to get up there?!

Gauntlet's smaller body structure when put against the beast's put him at an advantage in maneuverability. He could swerve in and slide out without being caught, or that's what he expected anyway. Dracon's bulky arm had other words to say on the subject. The brunt of the blow was delivered by the reptilian's backhand, but the force was channeled through the entire arm. Like an impact explosion, the bruiser was launched back into the chain-link fence then rubber-banded back onto the floor. “Dammit.” He spoke under his breath as he stood up from the ground. It was a cheap shot. But now he was going to make his own. Without mentioning anything to his busy partner, Gauntlet took to the very same mountain the commando had recognized. By using the monster's muscles as easy leverage, he scaled their target's backside in seconds. To Gauntlet, this was a safe place, immune to Dracon's overly-sized arms and legs. From here, he fired a couple more punches into the dragon's shoulder and backside.

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]Rex snarled in distaste as Gauntlet took his idea! He was quick to slide beneath Dracon's legs and hide there, trying not to get stomped out by the dragon guy's massive clawed feet as he danced to get Gauntlet from his back. The beast growled, shoving himself backwards in attempt to smash the brawler against the fence behind them while he pelted his shoulder, “Get off me, you damn insect!” He roared out.
The Commando's arm was scratched by a claw, and he'd roll before he got somewhere near the back of the monster's knee, eyeing it carefully. The skin there seemed softer, it would have to be to allow for movements. So with everything he had he'd attempt to spartan kick the fold, staggering the monster forward and onto all fours. “What?!” Dracon yelled as he looked below him, reaching to grab Rex and toss him in a violent tumble against the mat until he hit the furthest cage wall.
