[attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]God damn, would Rex be happy when he never had to spend another fucking second out in this shit hole of a desert! This was exactly the kind of scenery he'd been all to familiar with being in the fucking marines for four awful years! The yellow grit always found a way into every crack your body had, and this game simulated that far to well.
It was out here that the crazy Commando decided it would be a great idea to hunt a giant fucking worm, for some extra cash. Though his experience in such matters usually left him feeling like it was NEVER worth all the hell it caused him. He was on the back of some kind of giant fucking dune buggy with a bunch of little people in tattered clothes running around and screaming.
Supposedly that giant wiggling fucker loved to attack these guys around this time, and he was more than ready to blast him when it decided to pop up. So there he sat on the bumpy ride towards the back, smoke clenched between his teeth as he checked over his weapons and loaded them up for the fight.

Bad news for Akeno! She'd woken up late and missed her ride! Running through the desert, she spotted her transportation, cruising along in the distance. Awkwardly and carelessly, she dashed after it, waving her hands in the air. She shouted, hoping that the driver, or someone, would notice her.
"Hey! Hey, wait!" The Cannibal shouted, chasing hopelessly after the runaway vehicle. She was actually making some distance, not too far away from the buggy, when it seemed like her world was flipped all around. The sand rose up from behind Akeno, causing her to stumble forward into a cautious roll, carefully catching herself. The ground seemed to shake as it rose up, bringing it's body down to thrash the ground with a shattering slam, nearly flattening The Cannibal, as she crawled out of the way.
"I've never eaten one of you before..." Akeno took a step back, reaching back to pull her slingshot out of her bag, as well as a pouch of a few pebbles. "I bet you taste like shit! Go, Pebble!" Carelessly, she prepared to take on the worm alone, unaware of the commando's presence nearby.

Rex couldn't believe his eyes as the dune buggy he was on started to shake and tremor due to the rising worm, there not to far away from the car was fucking Akeno trying to hit the giant sandy death machine with a SLING SHOT! With a deep breath he scattered to an edge of the car, “You FUCKING idiot! Get the hell on the buggy before you get eaten!” He shouted.
Akeno would most certainly be at a grave disadvantage being outside the safety of a fast moving vehicle. If anything, she was probably seconds away from getting eaten and making the Commando extremely happy as to avoid her crap any longer. The Soldier tossed out his aerial drone and activated it's anchor mode, sending it towards Akeno.
If the bitch wasn't stupid, she'd latch herself onto the drone and let it bring her to the dune buggy where they were running along the worm's length in an attempt to avoid it's path. This would also give them a somewhat decent vantage point to blast it's ugly hide as well...

Akeno sent one more pebble, doing minuscule damage to the big worm monster thing, before turning back and hearing the not so friendly, but familiar voice of the commando. Jumping out of the way of the worm as it thrashed at her again, she'd leap into the air, waving excitedly.
"Hello again! Oh, oh! Flying ride!" She'd remembered the last time she rode on the drone, and while it had not been the greatest landing, it was decent while it had lasted, she took a few steps toward it, reaching out to hold on to the thing. It pulled her away, just as the big worm nearly nipped off the back of her heel, still barefoot as usual.
"Hah, come and get me, ya big... Ugly thing!" She wanted to think of a cooler insult, but it really didn't come to her at the time, as it dove into the sands, the ripples hinting that it was following after her, as the drone flew her along.

Rex watched as the woman was being carried along, all the while getting a few pop shots at the giant worm with his Assault rifle. He hadn't a fucking clue how they were going to bring this thing down, but watching Akeno did give him an idea. As much as he hated the girl, using her as bait was -more- than acceptable!
For whatever reason the sand monster loved to chase her...And it was making it easy for his little band of scavengers to keep ahead of it and let Rex have a good view of it's twisted maw of jagged stubby teeth waiting to munch on the floating red head. “I lied! Stay out there and keep pissing it off! It must have a crush on you, Ha!” Rex yelled over the shifting sands and worm.
Though Akeno didn't have to agree either, even though Rex had control over the drone, if she shifted it's weight she could move it as well, or she could just let go and possibly get eaten by the worm, whatever the crazy lady wanted. The Commando posted himself up on one of the rusted metal ledges of the buggy, trying to level his shots as much as possible to make them count...

Clinging on tight to the flying contraption, The Cannibal glared back at the worm as it leaped out of the sands, in another attempt to bring her legs off of the rest of her. Kicking her feet uncomfortable, she swung herself up for a moment, staying whole for now, legs and feet still on.
"Lefty, you need to react quicker, dumbass!" She yelled at her foot, before glaring up to the cruel commando, keeping her as tempting bait for the creature. She didn't really know how to control the drone very well, the thing shaking and fluttering after the buggy. "Hey, meanie! Put me on the car, I'mma fall!"
She kicked her feet unhappily, suspended just above the reach of the monster, as it continued chasing after her. Dive after dive, she swung herself out of the way, arms getting tired. She wouldn't be able to hang on much longer, if all this strenuous air-dodges continued. After all, she hadn't chosen the gymnast class...

Rex snarled a frown towards Akeno when she started to fuss about not being able to hold on. He'd really managed to do some damage while she was playing bait, and she was already ruining that! With a scoff under his breath he'd pull his drone back towards him and wave a hand at himself, “Alright yeah fucking wuss! Jump!” He roared.
Given she did, he'd actually catch her in his arm and then toss her to a side and reach on his belt to pull out a couple of frag grenades, the worm that had been chasing her was dangerously close to the buggy, and he'd lob those little explosive puppies right into it's mouth and cause a rather decent explosion to stun it back some, the car gaining some distance on it.
The soldier looked then towards the woman with another hateful frown, “You've got that fucking slingshot, right? Do some damage already! We're going to get swallowed up if you don't help out!” He fussed harshly.

Swinging off of the drone, Akeno would be caught, before harshly thrown back again, collapsing back for a moment, falling onto her rear. Her slingshot still in one of her hands, she stood up, hearing the commando's not so decent form of requesting aid. She'd nudge him in the ribs as she stood up. The Cannibal shot three quick shots out of the slingshot, before reaching into her pouch for more pebbles, glaring over at the commando.
"Meanie." She shifted her glare back to the worm, happy to be on the buggy, but not so happy to be working with that guy again. Just before she fired another shot, she stumbled, as the worm dove in and out of the sands, causing the car to rock left quickly, then right. She was swung nearly off her feet, a hand reaching out to hold on to a beam on the side of the buggy, before preparing to fire another pebble at the big worm.
It seemed to be getting increasingly irritated from it's movements, suddenly and harshly leaping in and out of the sands, nearly catching the end of the car at this point. It had closed the distance rather fast.

He was unwillingly tossed into Akeno, having to grab onto her for support and probably grabbing stuff he shouldn't of. He'd clear his voice and quickly look away before letting go, “Ah..Sorry.” Rex muttered just under a breath, she probably wouldn't even hear it before he grabbed his rifle again and popped another shot towards it's mouth.
This time he caught sight of something lurking towards the back of it's endless maw, some sort of dangling fleshy thing that looked like one hell of a hard to hit weak point. He'd turn to Akeno then, still aiming his rifle while he talked her way, “I saw something in it's fuck'n mouth! Some weird jiggly thing hanging there! I bet if we shoot it, we'll kill this fucker!” Rex declared as the rover cut a sharp turn to avoid being eaten.
He'd again have to grab onto the railing at his front, nearly being tossed from the buggy before he kicked his airborne boots back to the surface beneath them. After a brief moment to steady himself and his gun he'd take a breath, waiting for that thrashing monstrosity to take another dive at them. Hopefully he'd be able to hit that sweet spot!

It took Akeno a moment to contain herself, after the commando so disgracefully and clumsily stumbled into her! Focusing on the weak point he'd descried to her, she turned her head back for a moment to realize the buggy was very slowly reducing in speed. With a crazed expression, The Cannibal glared toward the front of the vehicle, seeing that the driver had, in the swerve, knocked his head on a beam and gone unconscious.
"Ehhmmm..." Not really sure how to quickly explain it, she didn't even try. Only firing one shot off, she hopped down into the front of the vehicle to push the driver out of the way, squirming into his place. She wasn't the best driver, but she had to try to be, as the car continued to uncontrollable swerve. She held it steady for a moment, trying to give him a shot.
"Please kill it, please kill it..." She whispered to herself, glancing back to peer as the thing continued diving after the buggy. In actuality, she hadn't ever driven anything before.

Sure enough that big bastard was getting closer, and closer!
The Soldier tried time and time again to hit it's weak point, though the cannibals reckless driving was throwing his aim off. It wasn't like either of them really had any room to negotiate however, but that wouldn't stop him from bitching none the less, “Fuck! Steady out already god damn it! I can't hit shit!” He griped.
Then came the final dive that would either mean a dead sand worm, or dead them. It's mouth was basically right behind them, giant maw of flesh and sharp teeth so close you could basically feel it's natural warmth of the heat of the desert. The dangling thing at the roof of it's maw was more than visible now, thankfully.
The soldier steadied himself, raising his Assault Rifle and taking proper aim. Even under all this pressure he had a professional calmness to his persona and movements. Bang! The shot rang out over the chaos and sure enough Rex nailed that flappy skin thing and sent the worm flailing around in a death roll. It wasn't over until Akeno still got them to safety!

Feeling the vehicle buck and bump against the uneven terrain, The Cannibal lost most control. In a decisive effort, she twisted the wheel, sending the bouncing buggy sideways, causing it to cautiously slide against the sand. Kicked up into the air, it was like dust, as the wheels traced a line in the sand with the momentum carrying it further.
"Yeek!" She yelped, as the worm hit the side of the vehicle in it's flailing death, a resounding and thundering bang wracking her ears on impact, causing echoes through the surrounding territory. Everything seemed to be crawling with tension, as silence blanketed the situation. The buggy had stopped moving, and the worm lay beside it. Akeno panted at the wheel, eyes closed, just hoping that the thing wasn't going to get up again.
"I'm not opening my eyes!" She shouted. "Is the thingy dead now?" The Cannibal reached over, blindly slapping the previous driver, hoping to bring him back to consciousness, as he seemed to have missed the most exciting part of the adventure, as had she.

Poor guy was knocked all around to hell and back as Akeno pulled some crazy daredevil shit in attempt to save them. Some of the little people scattering around the dune buggy were tossed and smashed during the rough movements, killing them.
But hey, at least not all of them would be dead after this was over, right? When the commotion finally settled, The King came crawling back from one of it's sides with clenched teeth of anxiety, he'd nearly fallen off there before he flopped on all fours and carried himself as far away from any possible drops as possible.
Damn right that bastard fucking worm was dead! When he got his nerves back, he'd stand himself up and head for the driver's seat, patting Akeno on the back harshly and leaning against a nearby metal frame, “...You know if you quit talking to your fucking feet, I might actually start to respect you a little.” He muttered past tired breaths, giving her an exhausted look of sky blues.

Opening her eyes as his hand hit her back, she chuckled, looking up. Her face was, as she usually had it, a crazed grin, showing her sharp teeth. After a giggle, she gave him an awkward play punch to the stomach, before leaning back.
"What can I say, I'm an impeccable driver. But don't be mad at me for the bumps! I had righty on gas and lefty on breaks, and we all know, lefty is trying to bring an end to this whole operation I got going on here!" She's point to herself, with a serious glare pointed up towards the commando.
"And I think you do respect me..." She chuckled a girlish giggle, horrible disguised as a sneeze or cough of some sort, looking away, before pulling out her slingshot. "My new toy smells like you!" Turning back, she laughed, her nostrils wide like a pig, nudging him with both points of the slingshot.
"Anyways," She shrugged. "Good work on worm guy!" She lifted herself from the seat of the car, hopping from the vehicle. "Made quick work of that big ugly guy. Don't even want to KNOW what that kinda weird thing tastes like."

Not to mention it only got worse when she shoved that slingshot towards him and declared he'd been the one to give it to her. A bit of red was in his cheeks, of course it was ONLY the heat of the desert doing such a thing to the soldier.
“W-whatever you crazy fuck!” He snapped before waving a dismissive hand, calling for his drone so he could latch onto it's bottom and hover slightly above the buggy, giving the woman another lazy glance, “...Guess we did alright, but I still don't trust you! Get your shit together and maybe we'll talk!” He yelled as he was slowly lifted away by his machine and disappeared somewhere behind the giant worm corpse.
As much as he hated it, they'd actually done OK, and rather quickly at that. Even though Akeno did nothing besides play bait and drive, he'd used that to ensure a quick reward. Now just where was he suppose to bring this bounty back to anyways? Probably another long trip through bullshit dunes and other worms...Lovely.
