Step after step, the mecha's body pulsed with sounds of pistons and other pieces of robotics. It continued through the city, striking down structures that stood between it and further victims. With a sudden break in front of another set of pedestrians, the duelist activated one of its special skills. Lights from its core and exterior began to glow much more extensively than before. Small shards of metal began to rotate on its posterior, unraveling the puzzle that was a layer of protection. These shards released themselves from their stations, taking to the sky as miniature drones. Some acted as a swarm while others split off to cover more area. They would fire bullets of blue energy on anyone their eyes could reach.

[attr="class","TheHandmaiden05"] [attr="class","TheHandmaiden"] A s long as Scholar had been trapped inside of this dumb game the one thing that she steered away from were the raids. The one thing she was afraid of in this game, which most people probably were also afraid of, was dying. She just never felt comfortable enough to risk her own life for some kind of reward. But yet here she was right in Izanagi, about to risk everything for some reward that she wasn't even sure of yet. Sure she had already been in the area by chance when the giant ass mech showed up terrorizing the city but she could of ran away or something.. The girl just had this weird feeling that she had to help people out here for some odd reason. While she wasn't really able to deal out much damage at all especially to the giant mech itself she could still hit these drones flying around. Narrowly avoiding one of the blue energy blasts that was sent her way by the drone Scholar would rush forward with her wooden gauntlet sword on her left hand. Only to then slash out at the flying bot with her weapon over and over until it exploded into shards of metal, while one less drone was probably good it also helped build up her mutation charges. Giving her a way to actually use her skills in a bit. "Cmon get out of here, go!" She hurriedly yelled out at some npcs, trying to egg them on to evacuate the area. Despite them being actual npcs and not players she was still worried for their safety for some reason, maybe she was just that afraid of death. Summary: Hard mode on 1/3. Just kind of scared out of her mind and running around yelling for npcs to leave the area because she scared. "Well, this is quite the spectacle."
Of course, Yeongmae was referring to the blue lights that so happened to fly through the air, hitting and damaging whatever stood in it's way. From what she could see, she saw multiple mini flying things, drones were they called? They came from the giant robot akin to an old Japanese anime about giant robots and angels. Attack on Genesis? Something like that, she didn't have time to dabble in such hobbies. In fact, she didn't have time to sit and think either.
Blue lights starting flinging around her, avoiding her completely. These things didn't have the best aim, but it sure was hitting those NPC civilians for sure. She quickly took out her new weapon, adorned with the rewards from her last raid, and swung it open with it's glow dark and powerful. So this is what a non-starter weapon feels like huh? She laughed as she started flinging spirits at the swarm of drones, trying to stop the massive wave from hitting others. At this point in time, she wanted to make sure the only people near were people who were going to fend it off, so taking chunks of the drones away was her first line of action against the boss. As she kept assaulting the drones, dark black residue seemed to linger, as if taking off more health than just her basic attack. Now this I can get behind. Eventually, she saw a young girl who seemed to join the fight, and some of the drone attention went to her instead of Yeongmae. She'd be watching her health carefully, just in case it were to dip down to scarier levels.
While a few lights grazed her skin, she remained relatively unharmed as she kept assailing the wave of drones. Hopefully others would come by and help defeat this mecha soon, cause she can't take them all down.
SUMMARY: Fights drones, sees Scholar and keeps an eye on her health.

While others were busy doing crowd control in the middle of the panic, the paladin went out on his own. There were others, such as this guy on the mecha, who concerned themselves with the evacuation of the NPCs out of the city when he could be laying waste. Did the permadeath thing even apply to them to warrant other players to take care of their safety? The possibility of it being true was always there, though Index wasn't one who would bother doing the same heroics as them. He didn't seem to be a hero-type anyways.
The Beacon was cast on himself; the faint illumination that it brought was quickly overwhelmed by the bright blue attacks from the drones. Still, that fact did not dilute any of the effect of his skill. The attention of the drones within the close vicinity were drawn to the paladin like moths to a flame. Their bullets were simple shrugged off with his increased defenses before mobs of them were dispatched with a single swing of his axe. Any damage sustained could just be healed later if he finds the time to do so. It wasn't like he was in real danger at the moment.
The drones have numbers, though Index guessed that they still pretty much were as destructible as common machinery judging from his attack. Still, having to fight them meant taking more time to reach the raid boss to lay down the hurt to its health bar. Should he even bother though? Thinning out the drone population should be enough contribution for a reward!
// summary: wonders why players like kingrex bother with NPCs. Attracts the attention of drones with his Beacon skill and sweeps the drones with an attack. hardmode on

[attr="class","TheHandmaiden05"] [attr="class","TheHandmaiden"] E Exhaling a bit in relief as some npcs started running out of the area Scholar would reach a hand up to mess around with a strand of her hair for the moment. It was little nervous habit that she had done literally as long as she could remember. The act typically helped to calm her down some, even if it was just by a very very tiny amount. Despite the extremely tense scenario that Scholar had wound up in the nervous habit was doing exactly what it was supposed to be doing. While it didn't help a whole lot she was still able to think a bit more clearer now and could fight somewhat clearly instead of just frantically slashing at things. With a quick flick of her wrist the dark haired girl would use up two of her currently four mutation charges, a pair of red wings bursting from her back as she glanced around the area. Flying was still a bit too risky, it would make her a target for the drones that were also flying around in the area. Since she was a utility player she couldn't tank a bunch of attacks even if she wanted to. Though the problem of becoming their target was soon wiped completely away as a beacon shot up into the sky and seemingly attracted most of the nearby drones over there. "Works for me.." She mumbled under her breath before she looked over her shoulder at the person watching her, Scholar really only noticed someone had been there because of how much she was looking around due to being nervous as all hell. Waving her hand for the other player to follow her Scholar would hover ever so slightly off the ground with her wings as she started to move over to where the beacon was. If she could group up with some other players, including the other woman if she decided to follow, they'd all have a better chance of survival just by working together. Summary: Hard mode on 2/3. Arriving a little later, he’d look at the damage caused by the mech and sigh. This city wasn't his favorite, but he’d be lying if he said it didn't look pretty. Really it's a shame these things happen. Better get started with taking this thing down though.
Walking down the path of destruction made by the raid boss, the blond would equip his essentials, a crown, fairy wings, and his new chain staff. Dragging the staff across the ground as he walked, the chloromancer would hold out his hand, activating life, four pink and white sakura golems sprouting up behind him as he walked, uprooting themselves to walk behind him.
Meeting up with the rest of the rag tag group of individuals, he’d take note of an one man in a mech that looked like one of the bosses children as well as the drones targeting a defender. Pointing towards the man, he’d shout up to the golems, “Two of you go help take care of those drones. The other two stay with me.” Two of the golems would do as told as they rushed in, helping to fend off the drones that came at the paladin.
Running in himself, he’d point towards the boss and shout, “Attack it!” To the two golems that ran with him, the two sakura golems charging at the left leg of the mech and latching themselves onto it as the chloromancer activated Wicked Bramble, the golems erupting into roots that dug deep into the ground. Climbing onto the roots he would activate the skill once more, roots sprouting further up the leg of the robot as the chloromancer was brought further up, scaling the robot until he reached that weird part of it back that stuck out. the mech stood stuck in place briefly as the roots grew further up its leg slowly.
Soon enough, with a jerk of its leg, the boss would uproot the wicked bramble, knocking over a building, with the kick, in the process. the roots that started to crawl up its legs would quickly disperse into pixels as they were uprooted, freeing the mech of the bonds that held it back.
Summary: HARD MODE ON/ Came a little later, saw kingrex and his mech and had sakura tree golems help out index fight drones. Stopped the mech from moving with roots from the wicked bramble golems and scaled it in the process but it would free itself easily from the roots soon after. He’d just lookin down on everyone from the robot's back right now, attacking next post.

Yeongmae winced as a small laser hit her arm, leaving a small trail of data disappearing into the ether. She fell onto one knee, trying to dodge the other lasers assaulting her. It wasn't too painful, but it did surprise her. It was too early for her to use her healing spell, and most likely these drones were resistant to her poison spell, being machines and all. She looked over to Scholar and saw her wave for her to come, possibly to clear another area of drones or perhaps to group up with others. While Yeongmae didn't really want to face that giant robot, she knew that sticking together would make Yeongmae most useful. Her spells were AoE afterall.
She kept dodging the lessening bullets as others took out drones left and right. If only she had a speed boost, it would make travel much easier. All she had was her newly acquired floating spell, which could be really useful later when the drones are taken care of and the mech is the only thing left. Eventually, she caught up with the woman who sprouted wings and the man who lured the drones. Perhaps her mist would do something?
As the drones gathered around Index, she started Spirit Channel - The Poisoned in hopes her mist would slowly damage all the drones. Lucky for her, the mist seemed to be effective as all drones in the area started to lose health. While not a lot, it still was enough and after the channel was over, it could have a sizable amount of damage taken off all the drones in the area. To accompany this, she was able to send spirits out to attack, adding another DoT to each of them. She basically was trying to lower as much health of the drone as possible, to make it easier for those who have stronger AoE skills to come and wipe them all out at once.
2/3 Hardmode TZ3qf6RZ Followed index and Scholar , used her poison spell and corroding basic attacks to widdle all the drones health slowly.

Those he defeated were quickly replaced by another swarm, effectively making the situation hopeless if he were to concentrate on eradicating the drone population. He expected as much during a raid fight though. His attention should be directed to the giant robot should he aim to quickly dispatch the raid boss. Prolonging the fight only brought more destruction to property and would only take a toll on everyone's resource bars to keep the mobs off of them. Moving his arms with a heave, he moved his axe in a way that it would smack into every drone within his reach.
As pieces of metal fell from the air and into the ground, he noticed two others moving towards him. He held his hand to his chest as he awaited for them to reach him, casting a heal onto himself to patch up whatever chip damage came from the drones. His taunt was still in effect, which meant Index had a target over his head. Whatever they had in their mind when they decided to get nearer to someone with the drones' attention, they better be not as risky as it sounded.
"You girls, uh, sure about hanging around the tank who purposely pulled those things?" As he spoke, a golem demolished a drone right beside him, causing the paladin to quickly dismiss his worry. "Guess we're fine," he murmured with a huff. A part of him wanted to go straight to the raid boss and try to cause some damage to its healthy life bar, though at the same time, it seemed better to observe for now and thin out the crowds. Maybe the utility players came over for protection, and playing a defender does not really translate to attacking instead of defending.

With the wicked bramble starting to pixelate, the chloromancer would swipe through the dying roots with his staff, using Life to create a small sakura golem with what was left of it. Looking over it he’d nod and pick it up, carrying it in his underarm as he walked forward. Tossing the small golem up a few times, catching it in the palm of his hand, as he looked at the back of the robots head. For a moment he’d keep tossing the golem up and down, but he’d suddenly throw the golem down in frustration, the small golem bouncing a few times before just lying in wait on the back of the robot. What the hell was he gonna do up here even? He had no plan and just acted in the moment, hoping that there would be something important here.
Running his hand through his hair with a sigh he’d walk to the edge of the robots back, looking down at the people fighting below, maybe he should've just stayed down there and helped them. Peering back at the golem as it sat up, looking at its creator, Garrand would just kinda pace back and forth, thinking of what he could possibly do up here. the only thing he has to work with being a golem too small to be of any use.
Meanwhile in the ground, the golems would continue to protect those under their branches, blocking attacks aimed at those around them while also taking out the incoming drones.
Summary: Hard Mode On/ Garrand is frustrated and doesn't know what to do, so he’s just thinking. The golems continue to protect index and go to help out Yeongmae in the process.

Yeongmae kept at her channeling, the toxic mist permeating in a large radius around her. Slinging spirits left and right, she tried to take out as much as she could She saw golems made by another mage near by, and knew that this mecha was going to be a tough battle. Hell, they were all focused on the drones as it was causing too much destruction. She had no idea what to do, other than to just keep trying to defend.
However, Yeongmae noticed that she was near the edges of the battle, and while she was near index and his drones, if she had run over maybe 300 feet in the other direction, she could affect more allies with her healing spells if they were needed. After a quick dodge from a laser, she made a run for it, trying to get herself in a decent position as to not be in the way and still be within a large radius to heal anyone who would need it.
3/3 Hardmode shitpost (PRAYING FOR THIS 33Qdr9AG)
Saw Garrand 's golems, tried to reorient herself in a better position so she could be of more use if she was needed to heal.

The roots that had grown along its legs had quickly been destroyed with just a few kicks and it wasn't long before Q-563 Duelist finally faced all the players who had come to stop its destruction. Suddenly a red glow appeared from its eyes and soon a flash of light. Starting from the ground, the light passed over each player in quick succession as if the giant robot was scanning each of them. As the last player was scanned, the towering giant suddenly started to create a loud whirling sound from within as its indicators detected players within the vicinity. A loud metallic ringing soon filled the area as the duelist suddenly grabbed a chunk of rubble from a nearby building. With a wide swing, the duelist threw the the large chunks of rubble and debris at the players ( index Scholar Yeongmae MEATPIE kingrex ) who were grouped up and destroying the most of its drones together. It could indicate another player on its back, the scan from earlier not missing any player within the vicinity. With movements too quick for such a giant robot, the duelist charged forward and rammed its back into the building as well, the building finally having enough and crashing to the ground with the player ( Garrand ) hopefully within the rubble. Pulling away from the building with rubble falling down from its body, the duelist once again opened up its core. However, the core started to grow brighter and brighter, a whirring sound filling the area as if something was slowly charging up. While it took a few seconds, giving the players enough time to get to cover, the core suddenly burst out a giant laser, heading straight for any player who had not gotten out of the way.

Pacing back and forth on the bots back, Garrand would start to lose his balance as the mech started to shift. Catching himself as he started to move with the motions of the mech, he’d move over to the edge of its back, looking down at the players as they were pelted with a huge chunk of rubble. Scoffing as he watched the projectile make contact, the chloromancer would lose his balance again as the mech charged forward and slammed itself into a building.
As it pulled itself off and the building fell away, the blond would be lucky to have jumped off beforehand. now spiraling out of control through the air, with his fairy wings slowing his descent, he would crash down and smash into earth into dirt. feeling like his skin would explode, leaving only his shirt, he’d grit his teeth in pain. At least he was alive.
SUMMARY: Hard Mode On/ Lol, exactly 150 words. Watched those losers, index, Yeongmae, Scholar, MEATPIE, and kingrex get rekt, then almost got rekt himself. He survived by using his fairy wings to float down out of control. 1ery|A55
