'cause tonight's the night
the world begins again Naomi glanced down at the group as they all stumbled and worked to cross the river. The sight made her roll her eyes to herself, thinking how it would've been so much easier for all of them if they simply used her ability to fly across. It wouldn't have taken as long, and they wouldn't have gotten hurt at all. With a sigh, she followed after Carlo and flew above the group through the forest as she continued to keep an eye out for any oncoming trouble. After a while she saw the large tree, much taller than the level she was hovering at. Flying down to stand with the rest of the group, she heard Carlo speaking about the ominous looking darkness that was at the base. She looked up at him worriedly. "Are we going to head in and fight? Wasn't this supposed to be just an exploration?" The ideal situation would be for them to just skip past this - whatever it was - and go on their merry way. Fighting more crabs seemed preferable to having to go in there. Knowing the group, they would probably welcome this, and she'd have no choice but to go along and try her best at helping them in battle. kingrex raynauld akeno drakka

All things considered, the day had been going well so far. Until this moment, of course. "Ugh. Get off me." With some difficulty, Raynauld managed to extract himself from Akeno's own disjointed form and stood up, switching trinkets with the aid of the menu and then quickly jogging back to Rex and the others, the loud clanking of his armor resounding until he reached pace enough to slow himself. And at the great tree, their fearless leader spoke about the obviation of the area. His lovergirl expressed concern, as she did. It wasn't too hard to figure the two bloodletters' opinion in the back, by his count - the second they heard anything that could involve a fight the switches in their heads went off - but... "If we're mapping the land, we'll have to go there eventually." It was true, they had a job they were tasked with, and that meant they had to go there, one way or another. kingrex papilion drakka akeno

With a shove, Akeno was forcefully removed, after her flailing form had shot through the air and collapsed into her armored companion. "Wah!" In a stumble, she awkwardly rolled herself, like an immobilized turtle, onto her front side. "Hm... So, guys, how about we..." Suddenly she lost her thought.
A large bird of some kind flew down towards her, swiping at her eyes. "WHAT THE HELL! AWAY, BIRDY!" The large, winged creature flapped at her a few more times, before fluttering away. From it's fight with the Cannibal, a trail of feathers fluttered down behind it.
"You're not getting away that easy!" Pulling out her slingshot, she fired a pebble into the bird, as it retreated. A red glow surrounding her, the bird exploded into a puff of fire and smoke. "Alright, so what now? Sorry, I wasn't paying attention."

Drakka barely reacted to everyone else's antics, she had somebody else to worry about right now, herself. She sat momentarily, shaking herself free of droplets and licking her snout in immense disgust and annoyance. Realistic water, she wished she could lay in the sunlight and dry off a little bit. Yet alas, she was needed to continue on, how annoying! She did follow, just slowly, shaking every now and then. She did perk up the moment they arrived at the boss cave, peering past Rex and flashing her usual grotesque smile. Well, this certainly got a lot more fun! No more mapping for her, they were here to fight anyway, and she was gonna fucking do that! " Hmm, ok then! Lead the way...Rex...Ray? Anyone but Akeno, we don't need her fucking dying..." kingrex papilion raynauld akeno

 | Rex grinned towards Naomi, “...Scared of the dark or somethin'?” He teased before taking a breath, “I'm sure it's nothing we can't handle...And don't you want to go back with something better than fuck'n crab guts?” He argued before putting a hand on his hip and flicking his sharp blues towards Ray as he agreed with him.
The crusader got a widening of Rex's grin, it wasn't often they agreed on anything and to think it was going head first into danger was more than a little exciting. “Yeah...See? Ray's right.” He used the man to persuade his own reasoning for entering the creepy giant tree.
Akeno's childish murder of a fowl was met with a flat expression of annoyance, as if Carlo was some kind of scolding or upset parent figuring ignorance was the best punishment, he wouldn't waste air giving her an update knowing she'd tag along anyways.
The Commando shifted his attention for the wet wolf, giving her a nod,“Yeah...I'll go first. Let's go.” Rex muttered towards his team before heading towards the tree's deathly opening. Stepping inside he'd be met with a tangling infectious vine...or weed? It was hard to tell, that wrapped and sprawled about the giant tree's innards. From it's black and pulsing behavior, it was easy to tell it was devouring it like some kind of leafy parasite.
Once the all of the party was inside the infected hollowed out belly of the elder tree, their exit would quickly be consumed by a mangling of black and thick vines, locking them inside. The Commando hissed under a breath and raised his assault rifle, “Oh come on! We just got inside!” He griped as he watched another large mass of vines lower down from the shadowing heights above them to drop...something for them.

the world begins again Naomi glanced at each person in the group, seeing no hesitation or worry for heading inside. No one was going to side with her, as they all seemed eager to go. It was times like this when she truly felt out of place with this rag-tag group. Like always, she was the only sane one in the group who would rather stay alive and avoid danger. She frowned at Carlo's teasing. "Unlike you guys, I'm not too eager to jump into danger." Ray might have a point in needing to map out the area inside as well, but they haven't even mapped out the entire forest outside. Of course the prospect of a fight quickly appealed to their group. "And you don't even know what's in there."As Carlo went in first, she sighed and followed from behind. Even though she didn't want to go in, she didn't want to be left alone even more. Unsurprisingly, it was up to her to take care of Carlo and make sure he didn't get into too much trouble. "Fine, let's go." While walking right behind her boyfriend, the light from outside suddenly disappeared. With eyes wide in surprise, she spun around to see that their way out was gone. Then something from above began to lower down towards them. Naomi grabbed Carlo's arm, holding onto it tightly as she glanced up anxiously. kingrex raynauld akeno drakka
