Alongside his summoned accessories fastened to his torso, Abaddon has taken to the skies of Underworld to cause all sorts of terror and wreak all sorts of havoc. By playing with powerful curses of death and other bits of demon-inspired magic, this beast has released a withering plague across nearby lands. With his eyes set on Under City, this beast plans to absorb the entire area of all life just to increase his own power. Abaddon will attack at random throughout the thread and target different players. Any players who die during hard mode will have a description written about their death in these attacks unless they write one out first. Feel free to post as many times as you would like between attacks and don't let it limit your progression through the thread. Shrieks above summoned a disease that purged through the soil underneath of the flying beast. Plants and animals caught in its path were turned black and withered away. It stretched outward in a circle formation, eradicating anything it touched. After the destruction reached its stop, a large portion of land around the monster was flattened and discolored. He lowered his flight into a shortened hover above his new arena while players from all over arrived on the scene. A sudden scream commanded his chained minions into their attack rotation. If anyone chose to strike the demon from close-range, his henchmen would counter. Another screech summoned a wave of black magic that pulsed through the earth, just as the sickness from before. Players caught in the wave will be silenced, meaning skills are unusable. His strategy is to be defensive. Silence the players while his minions attack those who get too close.

Oh bother... Walking through the plague ridden land of underworld, crushing the lifeless foliage beneath his feet, the Chloromancer would sigh heavily.
It breaks his heart to see plant life in a state such as this. Though it may be digital, there is still beauty and life in them, they were essentially his only friends in this crazy digital world. If he could shed a tear, he would, for the death of his friends pained him so.
Gripping his fist tightly, the blond haired man would walk forward, looking towards the raid boss as he equipped his basic ass staff, pointing it the demons way.
"Fuck you asshole, no one hurts my friends!"
Slamming the bottom of the staff into the ground, the Chloromancer would activate Life, revitalizing the ground around him as the plants that were once withered and blackened with decay sprung back to life around him, forming into a golem of grass and dirt, packed tightly together, Once more, he would activate the skill and follow up by activating Rejuvenation, a faint healing field being applied around him.
SUMMARY: Garrand came in, told the boss fuck you, and made a weak grass/dirt golem. Followed up with that by activating a healing skill. He's just ready to support rn. MADE BY SUNBUNS

JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS The emergency quest notifications were very similar to weather radios. loud, incessant, and largely unnecessary with all the talk concerning them. The bosses themselves were largely like natural disasters for the game, they came in killed a large portion of players and then died. It wouldn't be too farfetched to assume that most of the deaths in this game were caused by these forces of nature. And what's more The players knew this yet, they'd still gather like lambs to the slaughter and for what exactly? Items. Sad to say, typically these events were worth it. They gave incredible bonuses that were used to push closer to the exit of this goddamned game, and for that even Djinn was risking his life now at the gates to the underworld. The commander sat atop his massive T-Rex watching the current Tornado's display of power. While many hadn't arrived yet he'd use this time to create at least an organized system to fight this creature using a passive. People neither had the time nor the attention spans to keep up with the full description so he'd say this. "PARTY UP WITH ME AND YOU'RE AUTOMATICALLY BUFFED FOR TEN MILES." And with that he'd point at as many players as he could shooting party invites from atop the T-Rex. As far as he knew there was no max limit on parties so he'd keep adding if these people could communicate during the fight, well they might all stand a chance. Summary: Djinn strolls up riding T-Rex with a gun grumpy and screams everyone who joins his party gets auto buffed for ten miles. Utilizing: C.O.M: all team attacks get a 25% buff and everyone has access to voice chat within 10 miles acSl4Staword count ✖ @everyone ✖Hard Mode baby

Drakka knew that generally, these types of bosses just weren't usually helpful in terms of the rewards given. She was wonderfully powerful on her own and saw her own teammates as being wonderfully powerful on their own. Wonderful. There was only one real reason she kept coming back into this fight. She wanted to kill all of these motherfuckers just because, maybe spit in the creators faces while she was at it. Yeah, that sounded like a great time! Thus, she arrived. Not on the ground however. She was on a feathery youkai. The Tengu grunted and unsheated a significantly threatening sword as the terrible monsters approached, hovering above the wave of sickness as it came. Drakka could see everything from up here, a guy who helped her out before (She was surprised he was still alive), and a dude on a T-rex. However, except to accept the party reqyest, she was doing her own thing. A demonic flying thing flew for her and was promptly cut down by her Tengu, another was ripped in half by her jaws seconds before she clung to her loyal mount as it hovered away, a gaggle of deadly creatures followed, thinning the monsters around the boss. Summary: Flies in on the Loyal Tengu and starts to brawl with monsters. Sees Garrand and accepts djinn party request. Hard Mode enabled!2U52iCRi

Oh bother... Noting the arrival of other players, the blond haired man would look back for a second before snapping his attention in front of him. Along with the sudden party invite notification, it seemed that the battle had already begun, a few of the fodder enemies had decided to fling themselves at the Chloromancer. The golem would tank the hits aimed at Garrand, bits of grass flying off of the golem as they slowly went to rejoin onto it. Looking between the menu and the battle, Garrand would quickly swipe it away, accepting the invite in the process.
Looking up as the golem held off the attacks, the blond would hold out his hand once more as he summoned forth another golem, smaller in stature but still roughly the same density as the other. Pointing forward at the other golem, Garrand would command it.
"Keep those things from overwhelming your brother."
Turning to the other golem, the smaller one would would rush forward, it's grassy arms moving to and fro as it flung away the enemies overpowering the bigger of the two. After climbing onto the bigger one's back, the smaller one would assist it as it stood its ground in front of the Chloromancer.
Sighing in relief that the situation was resolved, Garrand would pull up the party chat quickly, clearing his throat before he began to speak.
"So, uh... um." Clearing his throat a bit more he would spit out his words quickly, "INeedSomeHelpOverHere."
Quickly turning away from the chat he would look forward, gripping tightly onto his clothes, it's been a while since he's actually attempted to talk to people rather than shit talking them in the background.

IT'S ME THE MASTER OF THE GAME LOOK AT WHAT I'VE DONE TO THIS WORLD
[attr="class","crachel"]0435 words
hardmode :: 1/3 magicman uses EXPECTO PATRONUM before wandering in, getting a weird demonic guardian. kinda gets silenced, is mad about it, and accepts djinn's party invite. watches as Garrand sends golems in and drakka tengu divebombs into the fray and just kinda watching and waiting, biding his time. ajYyrtNp | The magic was almost crushing.
He could taste it on his tongue, the very essence of the world as he saw it screaming. It was such a wonderful feeling in it's own disturbing way, the male breathing in the foul air. The guardian beside him gleamed, shimmering in the blackness with it's own foul light. The spell itself was interesting in nature - it formed itself of whatever the caster was thinking of. Of course, what was near it would also influence the creation of the guardian, but honestly Magicman was the kind of person to use everything around him regardless. Waste not, want not was a saying he quite believed in. And the guardian coiled around him, making him appear distorted to the eye.
The rather demonic creature was made of air, gas and a strange non-light, wings wrapped protectively around him.
The boss rose in the distance, and yet something was coming. He walked forward, confident, uncaring. He would perch himself and observe, the guardian at his side ever watching. But yet, when the wave touched him, the male's blue eyes narrowed into small slits of ice. Silence, the most disgusting status effect there was. Clenching his jaw, the male kept his facade of calm and cool - and yet he felt a rage burn inside of him. In mere seconds, he had been rendered useless. And that caused rancour in his chest, caused a gout of flame to lick his natural sensibility into a chaotic frenzy. Twitching his fingers, he took another breath, finally looking around him to see exactly whom was here and what was going on.
A familiar face, with a familiar voice. So he was here as well - wonderful.
A party invite dropped on his lap, and with a tap he was in. He wouldn't say a word - not yet - but he would listen. It was the least he could do, the creature wrapped around him cooing in worry. With a small pat on it's muzzle, he kept his gaze on the raid boss. He felt so... angry. But for now, he'd wait, and see if someone else realized the little problem with the silence effect, and if someone could use a skill to heal that crap off. He hoped so, because it would be a very, very long fight otherwise, since most would wander in range to be silenced before using anything.
Luckily for him, he wasn't that stupid, and so where two others. One with golems, and one with a winged mount.
This would be interesting, more so if his guildmates would arrive already. |

A JET BLACK CROW DRONING ON AND ON AND ON UP ABOVE OUR HEADS DRONING ON AND ON AND ON AND ON KEEP MAKING TROUBLE 'TILL YOU FIND WHAT YOU LOVE I NEED A NEW PARTNER IN CRIME AND YOU SHRUG THERE'S A ROOM IN A HOTEL IN NEW YORK CITY
Masmaune had a tendency to be just a tad bit reckless. He honestly still didn't believe that you would die in real life if you managed to meet your end in this game. The green haired shinobi figured that the whole spooky concept of being trapped here and dying for real was just some really heavy immersive shit to keep people interested in the game. Or some kind of hardcore mode that mmo's had where once your character died the first time it was time to make a new one. With the belief that this was all just some immersive great game design running through his head the tank had no worries at all about joining up with the first raid that he saw. Sprinting into the fight the Shinobi would immediately activate one of his skills, Armory: Frost, soon appearing clad in a black and blue metallic set of armor instead of his plain every day clothes. Drawing the black and blue katana from his back Masamune would use the agility fitting of someone with the class of Shinobi and leap up just high enough to slash at at the boss to deal a bit of damage too it. Though it wasn't much at all, this form was based around giving him some more defense. With just one hit in on the boss Masamune would put himself between the Harbinger of death itself and the blonde haired flower guy, glancing over his shoulders to look at him before speaking in a robotic voice. "I might not look like it but im a tank! Stay behind me!" After yelling that at Garrand however he'd call out to the Commander as well, "I'm not gonna be joining your party, sorry about that! Save the buffs for people who might need it more!" Summary: Hard mode on 1/3. [attr="class","bang"] [attr="class","bangimg"] [attr="class","bangtext"]Anya frowned the moment she had arrived on the scene, surveying the area for familiar faces. Unlike the last raid, she was most likely on her own for this one. The woman sighed, trying her hardest not to think too much about it. Swiping at her inventory, Anya considered her options, choosing to equip her newest armor item, Lilith's Embrace. Her frown deepened as she stepped forward a little over dressed for the occasion, touching lightly at the mask that covered half her face. Saying nothing to the players already engaged in combat, Anya tested out the weapons that came along with it, swiping at the air.
Not bad.
As she walked closer, a loud voice boomed overhead offering an open party. Huh, why the fuck not? The Slayer touched at the notification window, accepting the party invite from the commander. Out of curiosity, she decided to double check the party list, recognizing Drakka's name. This brought a smirk to her face and like she was on a damn mission, decided to hunt down the wolf girl. It wasn't too hard considering the wild beast had already torn into her newest target. Anya let out a whistle, walking up casually to the lobisomem, batting away one of Abaddon's minions with a swing of her sword, leaving behind a trail of black wisps.

To his surprise, it seemed that a debuff was placed on those participating in this raid. It was kind of embarrassing to admit that he had gone this long without taking notice of it.
Gripping his hands he would start to command the golems to attack, until some strange cyborg man took a slash out of the boss. Blinking as he stared at the scene, the Chloromancer would take a step back as he landed near him, mouthing something out.
With a confused expression the blond haired man would place a hand on his hip as he looked in his inventory, taking out a crown and placing it on his head, boosting his stats as he buffed the golems with more grass and dirt packing into them.

If the beasts were able to keep the players distracted long enough, the demon could spawn continued waves of his vicious plague. It was the connection to his minions that could cause his downfall. drakka, MAGICMAN and seneca cut through his forces like butter. Every minion slain dealt damage back on him. Another pulse of his disease discharged from his body drowning any player in the area with a silence while forcing back any player (like Masamune) that was too close to his exterior. With a screech, he guided his soldiers to MAGICMAN, djinn and Garrand, along with his golems. hardmode :: 2/3 nobody notices him as per usual, he decimates a bunch of minions, watching seneca and drakka do the same. proceeds to try and backpedal because fuck being silenced, and his patronus is wrecking shit to protect him from the minions, even as he watches that ball of doom head for seneca and drakka his fellow minion slayers. And is sort of still cursing silence because it's the worst. VfyaS1sm | It seemed like he had slipped under everyone's radars - which was a pleasant thought, because that meant he didn't have to interact with anyone.
However, he may have sort of done something else.
Once he figured out the rhythm of the minions, he had flown into action. As a defender, he wasn't often one to be on the attack - but his gaze had followed two figures, and easily he found himself pushing towards them. The winged guardian at his side was perhaps his saving grace, even as the boss' minions decided he looked quite suitable to attack. And needless to say, it did not like the idea of that. The guardian unfurled itself from him, and with a resounding screech, moved on the offensive. Wings that seemed to not exist were suddenly bright, burning like flames as it swooped and destroyed all that came too close to it. The fact that the minions trying to get to Magicman were black cloaked floating wraiths was not lost on him. And perhaps it was with vindictive pleasure that he watched his so called Patronus destroy them.
At least the fanfics were useful for something.
Luckily for him, the boss' silence could only be inflicted on using new skills. That meant his guardian would not fade despite the embargo on abilities. It was easy for Magicman to hold his breath, and start to move now. Rather, mostly because he had seen the blow back of the wave, and was running to see if he could interfere with something or the other. If only he could get out of range to get his skills back, it would be a lot better then just standing there letting his consistent spell do all the work. Really, it was rather annoying, because he was sure the shields he could make would come in handy. Particularly considering that sphere heading towards the other two that had helped him curb the minions and damage the boss...
He almost wanted to curse his lack of usefulness, even as his demon winged guardian twisted, fighting any minions that came close to him. |

Drakka got confident, she knew this, she knew everyone else knew this...and she was confident. Red by the buff she was cutting through a line of minions with absolutely no regard for danger or being silenced, as her Tengu hovered over the fray. A quick look around spotted her little "rival" next to her, and her confidence soared. She wasn't part of her guild by any means, but Drakka was confident in her abilities and reasonably trusted her to watch her back. Thus the two were out of their minds here, slaying beast's like it didn't even matter...at least until a blast of energy went soaring their way. " Shit! Watch it!" Drakka howled a split second before impact...and what an impact it was. She went tumbling into the ground, smoke coming off her enormous body as she struggled to her claws. A quick look around confirmed she was surrounded, yet without another thought she started trying to cut her way back to her rival and Tengu, who she hoped was still fighting valiently. She herself was surrounded with around threee shadowy wolves, good guards, but she preceded a human any day. [googlefont=Open+Sans] oh, you talking to me? [attr="class","firstfriend"] try dying, then I can’t get you to shut up h, how the realm of the dead spoke to her... literally. Yeongmae was able to hear it all, from the screams of the dead and dying to the last whispers of a tender farewell. Not only is she able to hear this any place that she walks, but she can't necessarily tune it out. They're always speaking, always looking for someone to listen to her. Sometimes it becomes too damn much for her, other days it keeps her from being lonely. Today was definitely not a lonely day, and likely a day she will never forget. Even so, this was a perfect place for her. With tons of dead spirits around for her to channel, she would not be at a loss for souls to use. Not like she ever has been, of course, but the thought that perhaps her powers would be intensified in this environment had given her some excitement. She noticed a few players in combat with the demon's minions, most noticeably a woman wielding a sword, and before she could make a decision a party invitation popped up in front of her. "Hmm... couldn't hurt to join I guess.Yeongmin accepted the party request sent to her, and checked her party screen. Since she was relatively new to the game, she didn't recognize anyone's name. However, she did notice the girl with the sword was also in the same party. She rushed over to her perhaps to grant some assistance, although it did not look like she was in need of any. Near her was another girl, who seemed very well versed in the art of combat. Before she could even get near the two girls fighting, she saw the beast hurl a dark mass of magic it seems towards them. Moving with haste, she rushed over till the two girls were in range for her channeled spell, hopefully with enough distance to where she wouldn't be affecte dby the blast or the disease. She finally caught up, and after catching her breath, began to chant. She opened up her grimoire and with magic flowing through her fingers, the pages flipping as if a rapid gust had blown through. Her eyes glowed with a deep blue hue, as she began her healing spell spirit channel: the drowned. Purple spirits began to flow like water from the grimoire and toward Seneca and Drakka for any sustained damage they'd take. With Djinn's party buff, she could feel her own power grow slightly, hopefully enough to make the curative effects of her channel to seem decent on these higher leveled players. NVGk8Xno*edited cause I code for roll was messed up, as it did not show up before* | ✉ | Accepted party request by djinn , found @seneca and drakka fighting and decided to stick by them, but keeping her distance to avoid being hit by the black wave. Cast Spirit Channel: The Drowned to heal any injuries that they would sustain after the blast, as it lasts for three minutes. |

Skadi had never been one to turn down a challenge, and she wasn't about to start today. The moment she had seen the announcement for the raid monster, she had sent notice to the rest of the guild that she would be taking part. Whether or not they wanted to join her side was up to them. She had noticed she'd received no notice from Anya, and yet she dismissed it. It could easily be that the woman had just been too excited to get there on her own, but if it was an issue, it was something they would need to resolve when a literal demon wasn't trying to kill everything in its path.
Still, considering that she hadn't thought of herself as being late, it came as a surprise to arrive on the scene just in time to see the pale woman kicking ass in a dress with a literal death ray charged at her, the wolf girl she'd seen at the raids before not far off. Skadi took one glance at those heels and decided there was no way the class that already had limited maneuverability was going to dodge that in time. The Vanadis stepped forward into a frost slide, dodging anyone who tried to get underfoot with the pure and simple intent of colliding into Anya and betting on the knockback effect to push her out of the blast zone.
She raised her shield to hamper the effects of the death ray as best as she could, not in the least bit expecting it to completely nullify the attack from the boss monster. Whatever Anya had done, she had really pissed the beast off. Skadi grinned; that was good. She'd just have to count on the nearby healer - if her peripheral glance had been correct - to be able to cover the damage she was committing herself to absorb.
ez pz mode cause y'all are fine and ik my luck. 1/3. summary:: arrived just in time to see seneca and drakka with a laser beam firing their way, charged forward with frost slide to knock anya out of the way, is counting on Yeongmae to be able to heal her.
