Hands on her hips, the barefoot menace herself stood in the entrance to a great cave. Pulling up the description of the bounty, she nodded to herself, before opening up her guild menu to invite the commando to party. Another bounty to be destroyed by the fabled 'bounty buddies'.
"Hm, looks dark..." The Cannibal nodded to right palmy, pausing after speaking. "Oh, good idea! A makeshift torch, genius!" Swiftly pulling two sticks she had in her bag, for whatever reason, she began quickly twiddling them together in an effort to create flame. Having not much success at first, it was a miracle that a spark came out.
"No way!" Even she was surprised, as all of her limbs gasped in awe within her mind. "Yes! We've done it!" Picking up the smaller stick that was beginning to smoke, she realized that... The stick was far too small to be a useful torch. Holding the burning piece of wood as it began to drift away into ashes, she whimpered, tossing it between her hands as it burned at her palms. "No! You must live torchy, you're our only hope!"

Rex really hated being in the Bottomless Caverns, this place could blow him two ways to hell and back. He'd already been here far to many times, and it's endless snaking caves were enough to drive a man crazy, or worse even. It was here he was on his way to meet Akeno, which was already a mistake. Their previous bounties had been only god awful disasters, and he assumed this one was going to be just the same.
Eventually he'd find the woman playing around with a torch and shoot her a cold glare, “What the fuck are you doing?” He fussed before reaching to turn on the flashlight at his chest and purposely blind her with it. With a hiss he'd flick it towards the tunnel she was about to enter, “...What the hell is it this time? It better not be as big a let down as last time, te'h.” He griped, assuming the girl would probably taking the lead on this one.

"Oh, no let down!" She scoffed, waving her hand in the air, as the stick seared itself onto her other palm, quickly flicking it off to the side. "I never let down!" She stood proud, wincing as she placed her semi-burned hand onto her hip. "So, down there," With a pivot, she pointed into the gaping maw of a cave, "There's a big guy. We kill him, we get cool bounty stuff. So onward!"
She began to march her way inside, and given that the commando knew her well enough, he could probably tell that she had no clue what exactly she was doing. And she soon began to regret going into a cave without shoes on, reaching into her bag to pull out her boots as they moved forward.
"Yo, would you be so generous as to give me a spare flashlight? If you've got one?" She awkwardly leaned her head back, with a puppy dog beg. How could he refuse such pure innocence?

Rex rolled his eyes at Akeno's explanation. This was going to be shit, and he knew it! “A big guy...Right...Fuck...” He muttered in a long breath before following behind the woman. It was a mystery just why the soldier decided to follow this crazy cunt all the damn time for these bounties...
Maybe he actually had a crush on her? Now that would be a fat fucking joke nobody would let down. It was probably because they both had a sort of...unbearable hunger, though his was in the face of greed. Another annoyed gaze was settled back on Akeno when she asked for a light, “No. Fuck off! This is the only one I have..That's what you get for not bringing one of your own into a damn cave!” Rex scolded.
With another sigh he'd wave a dismissive hand at her, trying to keep his light forward as they walked, “Do you -ever- fucking think before you do anything? Even Drakka plans a little and she's reckless as shit!” He probably sounded like an angry father at this point.

"No fun that way!" She shrugged. "I mean, it's hard to plan for these adventures. I don't really know my way around, I just kinda wander until I find something and then boop, I do something. And then I go back to wandering." She spoke plainly and carelessly, mumbling and grumbling out the poorly constructed sentences. She seriously hadn't learned her way around the giant world.
"And well, since you're hogging the flashlight, you lead the way!" With her childish grumble, she spun around, running in a half circle so she was behind him. Her pace was quick, and she was almost stepping on his heels. This put her rather close to him, almost bumping into him, perhaps because of the dark, or something else.
There was an odd sense of hesitance and fear in her statement about him leading the way. It seemed that there was something more too it, as The Cannibal carefully looked around at the darkness of her surroundings. Not only was this not her first time in a cave like this, but the last time had turned out to be rather traumatic, causing her to have a distinct fear of the dark. This was obvious upon further inspection of her mannerisms.

It didn't take a fucking rocket scientist to figure out what was going on here, Akeno had a fear...a real one and she was being coy about it. As much as Rex shouldn't of been in a position to tease her about it, considering he was deathly afraid of drowning, how could he possibly pass up a chance like this? So without much warning he'd sneak a hand to his flashlight....
“Oh fuck! What the hell is that?!” He screamed, bumping back into Akeno before pulling himself forward to hide somewhere on the wall of the cave, he'd long turned off his light and left them in true pitch black darkness. He'd remembered where Akeno was standing and while he was on the ground he'd reach out to grab the woman's ankles and yank her towards him....
This was probably some kind of sick payback for all the trouble the man-eater had given him since they'd originally met. Their friendship, if you could call it that, was honestly the loosest out of all of the devils. It wasn't like she ever really listened to him as a leader either, so just why she was a member was a damn mistake in the first place.

At first, it was as if her heart skipped a beat, having not smelled or seen whatever had created a disturbance. She had no clue what sort of enemy she was facing, and reaching out, she found no ally to cling to in her horrified position.
Suddenly enveloped in darkness, Akeno screamed a bloodcurdling screech. Being surrounded by it all was scary enough for her, but having her ankle pulled twisted The Cannibal's mind from a state stunned with terror to one fighting for it's life. Twisting her hips, she grit her teeth and spun her other foot towards the wrist of what had grabbed her, hoping to free herself.
"No, no, no, no, no, no!" After her scream, she sputtered to herself loudly, her words echoing through the cave, and as she swung her foot, a most resounding, "No!" Echoed louder than the others, as she grit her teeth and hoped to strike her would-be captor.

There was a horribly devilish grin on Rex's face when Akeno fought him in the dark with a screeching scream. He was all to satisfied with his prank bordering the title of low key torture for the careless nutcase. There was something just so...pleasurable about breaking people, and that made him probably just as sick minded as her.
He took a rather nasty kick to his chin and snarled in pain, and instinctively he rushed himself forward in an attempt to knock her over and pin her with his knees, sitting on top of her. His gloved hands would reach to pin hers above her head and use his leverage to keep her from escaping, though her resourceful nature might of gotten her free.
“You're such a fucking wimp! It's me you dumb ass!” Rex finally broke as he let go of one of her hands and turned on his light again, probably blinding her before he moved it to a side and gave her an arrogant grin as he was still sitting on her stomach with his knees at her side, “...You remember this, the next time you piss me off...I know your weakness.” He taunted.
Karma would be quick to scorn the soldier, as a dark and tall figure would be outlined behind the Commando, though only Akeno would be able to see it at this point. It seemed that all her yelling and rough housing had attracted their enemy...

Her cheeks turning red, The Cannibal was embarrassed to have screamed in such a way, and even more embarrassed to have been fooled in such a simple rouse. She should have listened to left palmy! Should have listened! After all, he had told her to trust her nose!
In a displeased, girlish manner, she turned her head to the side, unwilling to blatantly face this evidence of her weakness head on, silently grumbling to herself. She waited until he moved, listening unhappily to the threats he made.
"You're a meanie! We're here on a bounty, how unprofessional of you to tease a poor me in such a way! Unkind!" She squirmed, unable to free herself while he was still sitting upon her with her arms pinned. "Yea? You gonna use this against me? What if I tell the others about the time you PINNED ME DOWN IN A CAVE, HUH?!" She chuckled to herself, mischievously. "Not so confident at the thought of that, are ya?! Big mean guy!"
Finally making her way out from under his knees after he had gotten off of her, she looked up to see the great silhouette of the creature behind him. In a moment of blind panic, she rushed at the commando, grabbing him by the scuff of his shirt, and attempting to drag him between and past the legs of the thing, knowing that an attack was imminent. "You dummy!"

Rex had busted into laughter, seeing Akeno lose her shit and blush with embarrassment was all to great for him to handle. It was probably the first time he'd ever considered her as another human being and not some kind of wild animal that needed to be put down. Maybe he'd even thought for a second or two she seemed a little..cute.
“Like they would even believe you, you damn lunatic! You deserved every bit of this!” He snapped out during his snickering. Though when she rushed him and grabbed his body armor to shove him forward, he clenched his teeth in anxiety, clenching a hand around her wrist. Then came the growl of something large above him as they dove below green and armored legs.
The sound of a large weapon clanging against the ground they'd just passed was all the reality check Rex needed. Akeno had saved him, and there was no way around that. The large orc had already started to turn himself around and swing his large axe towards them. Obviously Akeno couldn't see it because she was still shoving them forward, so he'd use his grip on her wrist to pull her forward and spin them some.
This put him in the way of the blade, and he'd suffer a nasty gash along the side of his arm before he'd attempt to get them separated, “Shit!” The soldier hissed under a breath as he slammed into the side of a cave wall and grabbed his injury before reaching for his shotgun and quickly prepping it to fire. Hopefully the cannibal could keep it busy long enough for the high level attacker to blast it...

Hearing the clang of the first strike luckily missing both of them, Akeno spun her head back, not able to see much as she looked into the dark. But she did hear the grunt and thud of her ally being struck. The Cannibal grit her teeth, a burgundy glow surrounding her skin closely like a jacket. This glow illuminated the area around her, her hp draining.
"Heya dickhead!" She shouted at the big enemy, now visible to her as it reared back it's fist to swing it down at her. Stepping out of the way, she crawled up the creature's forearm, swiping at it's shoulder as she hopped behind it. Leaving a trail of flames licking at her enemy's wound, she inflicted decent damage, and easily drew it's attention. "Stupid, dummy! You're dumberer than me!" She grumbled, barely dodging the next punch that came her way.
Soon followed by a flurry of blows, she could hardly keep up with them, one to the next, and in a brief moment of distraction, it seemed she was destined to take a harsh punch to her center.

The swing she was about to take was leverage for him to assault the beast, jumping on the monster's beefy armored arm and burrowing the barrel of his weapon into it's chest and firing.
A blinding pop of light flickered inside the dark cavern, sparks exploding from the blast between magical bolts of energy and the enemy's thick armor. The big bastard staggered backwards, and the Commando jumped from it's arm, hopefully saving Akeno from any damage. He'd reach to shove the woman back, “I've got this! Just stay back or you'll get in the way!” Carlo growled.
Was he being an arrogant prick as always, or was he possibly worried about her intense fear getting in the way and possibly getting her killed? He'd rush forward again, blasting the bulky green warrior with another hail of golden buckshot that tore deep into it's thick armor.

Having done a whole lot of good work, The Cannibal was not happy to hear that she wasn't getting ample credit for the pretty badass maneuver she had just managed. Regardless, he was right, and she was okay with letting him stay in the danger zone while she attacked from afar, she was okay with that.
It seemed her fire aspect came in very handy when attacking from afar as well, her slingshot pebbles exploding in little bursts of fire, like firecrackers, when striking the enemy. This made it hard for him to concentrate on his attacks, as little pops of flame burst up around the monster's shoulders and face. A surprisingly effective distraction.
"Hah, it's working! No way!" In baffled awe, she ignored the fact that her hp was rapidly depleting as she kept up the toggle-able skill. That was, of course, the trade off for it's awesome effect. It wouldn't result in death, but sitting at 1 hp was a very unsafe position to be in.

His gaze flinched, though he didn't look away from his enemy, “You fucking idiot! Watch your life!” He snapped lowly. Sure enough the orc was trying to take advantage of it, swinging one of it's large axes towards the woman, nearly stepping on Rex to get at her.
The soldier quickly summoned his riot shield and shoved himself violently at the giant, causing him to stumble some backwards and barely miss chopping Akeno in half. Her constant bombardment of pebbles was annoying him, but also dragging his aggro. Rex was eager to end this as quick as it had started, and quickly dropped his shotgun to dangle around his waist as he reached for a small black square at his belt.
He'd stick it to the orc's leg and slither to a side, dodging another wide swing from the warrior's axe, and using it to stick another explosive on it's arm. Again and again Rex danced and stuck more and more explosives to the massive one horned fiend, dotting him with flashing red lights. Then came an outstretched arm that hugged around his waist in a bear hug, draining HP quickly....
Carlo snarled in pain, wiggling some before snapping a desperate look over his shoulder at Akeno, teeth gritted, “Run, you fucking idiot!” How many times had he yelled that at her? Sure enough whether she did or not, he'd pull the trigger for his explosives, and light that fucker up like Iraq.
A good portion of the tunnel would be covered in a rush of black smoke and explosive heat, though it wouldn't do any damage to Akeno, thankfully. However the cave passage they were in would start to tremble and quake with damage, and pieces of the aged and carved stone above them would start to fall and tumble down...It was all going to collapse!

Realizing her quickly falling hp bar, she cautiously watched as her companion was grabbed by the big monster, fearful for his fate. She waited carefully, firing pebbles that no long exploded in fire, seeing as she had only a little bit of life left. Dodging the axe thrown at her, with the speed granted to her by her low hp, she felt a rock fall down onto her head.
"Oww!" Rubbing her head, she heard the order to run, pursing her lips awkwardly. She didn't know what the plan was! To her, it was like a dog watching it's owner say to run from a volcanic eruption! She didn't want to leave him behind! But, grumbling to herself, she began to run back.
"You better not get yourself killed, dummy!" She turned, running from the collapsing tunnel, soon realizing that she really couldn't see anything. And without his flashlight to guide her, or her glow to illuminate her surroundings, she was left in the dark.
Her run turned into a walk, and with a few fearful looked around, she crouched down, hugging her knees as the crumbling in the area she'd made it too had seemed to stop. She didn't know whether she had been running the correct way or not, considering that she couldn't see her surroundings. Lost in the dark, she hoped the fighting would be soon over.
