[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]ex had just gone to aim his assault rifle again at the necromancer when ginger decided to get in his way with her bow. A visible twitch in his face could be seen before he lowered his rifle with a hiss, hearing her exchange words with the NPC. He'd tilt his head around her side and give her a cold and annoyed punk-ass expression, “Ehhhh, you stealing my kill?! What the fuck?!” He griped before leaning away and harshly shoving his rifle behind his back.
“Whatever, fuck it. I don't even care anymore!” He muttered lowly under a breath and folded his arms to his chest, glare settling forward as he waited for her to make the call. That was until even Stoic Snowflake decided to get his two-cents in as well. Seemed they both rather question this piece of shit than just kill it.
The robbed boy in black was quick to flinch lower behind the sofa when the bow was aimed at him, visible sweat of anxiety on his freckled face, “Ah-W-wait I don't even know what that means!” The necromancer pleaded weakly, though when she said something about not being the target he was quick to perk up and nod with agreement, “Y-yes, that's exactly it! I'm...I'm only a trainee, I swear...This place isn't mine, it's my master's! He's away with the other elders in a conjuration!”
He gulped again, clenching the book in his arms tightly against his chest, “I-I'm not even suppose to be here....I decided to sneak in while he was away and see if I could learn any secrets they might be hiding...This place is usually heavily guarded by his minions, but he had to dismiss them to regain mana...” He paused to squeak in air, “A-all the novices are granted immunity during the entrance ceremony! T-that's why none of the monsters here attack me...”
His hands were visibly trembling with fear...This was pretty fucking real even for a game. The familiarity with this to encounters with civilians out in the real world during his military career was unsettling for even Rex, He decided to keep his trap shut for the time being, his party had stolen the show anyways....
The necromancer flicked nervous grassy eyes onto Blank then, leaning forward with another clench of his book, “I-I didn't even know it was there until he came out of it! I swear! Please believe me!” He begged, taking a step back when the man threatened to throw him down there, “I-I can help you! I promise! J-just hear me out! I can get you out of this place before my master gets back...A-and even give you a map of where I've explored!” The boy bargained, doing whatever he could to avoid death...

If this was a human being, there would be a case for a long and drawn out ethical discourse on what would be the just course of action. "So, you still admit that you're a necromancer." Was that a bad thing, in and of itself, in this setting? Maybe not, but, considering what they had just gone through, it was difficult to imagine them being even remotely beneficial to society, even a simulated one. Part of her wanted to ask him what he hoped to gain by studying such arts, what he would do with such power, but it seemed increasingly irrelevant. "Apprentice or not, you still chose this path." Part of her, and a soberingly large part at that, simply wanted to loose an arrow and end this. But she still kept her hands still. Ready, but still. She wasn't a killer, but it wasn't the ethical quandary surrounding taking a life that bothered her. Instead, Wyrmtooth merely considered the best way to resolve this. "I think we've got two options; either we get the information from him to ambush his master, or we simply kill him and call it a day," Wyrmtooth said, clearly trying very hard to remain objective and distant from the entire situation. "The first option is riskier, but, considering how these games work... it might have a bigger reward. What do you two think?" If Kingrex decided to simply fill him with holes, she wasn't about to stop him. No matter how they sliced it, Wyrmtooth was just about done with this place. "Or we try to take him prisoner, I guess." Assuming that was even an option. Whatever the decision was, she didn't particularly want to make it. She could see the options, and the possible merits and demerits of each, but actually choosing from amongst them was proving difficult. ▲

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]The hooded boy clenched his book again, pale in the face and obviously panicked by this entire ordeal, “No! I never -wanted- to B-be a necromancer! The whole point I did this was to get inside the manor and try to end this madness!” He snapped back with what small amount of fervor he had left.
He took a step back when the red head mentioned something about being taken prisoner, eyes widened, “N-no you can't! If I lose this chance, then we might never be able to undo the curses of this place! P-please just believe me!” He pleaded once again.
Rex had been watching closely but oddly quiet up until this point, figuring he'd give one good chance to let either of his companions make a decision before he took control and made one for everyone involved. Wyrm seemed to have a handle on it more than Blank did, and even more so when the white haired man had nothing to say at her questioning...
“...I don't think he's lying at all. He's being honest about all of it. I'm sure of it. I've seen enough people begging for their lives to tell...” Rex commented darkly under a breath before he took a step forward and attempted to lower Wyrm's bow given she still had it raised, sharp gaze flicking to her briefly before it again settled on the young man across from him.
The novice necromancer took in a deep breath, entirely relieved that the player had finally believed his story, “Y-you do?! T-thank you! I swear it'll be worth--” A single gunshot echoed in the small space, nearly deafening. The young NPC froze with shock until slowly looking down to see a wide hole in his chest fluttering with missing data....
Rex had raised his assault rifle in a single hand and blasted the boy before anyone had a chance to stop him. His already cold features looked even more monstrous, like something you'd expect from a steady hearted killer. “...It's a fucking computer, you got that?!” He yelled, flinching his rifle towards the boy as he collapsed on the ground with his hands held to his stomach, “We start treating them like people...We'll fuck'n forget who we are!”
It seemed Rex was settled on the possibility this wasn't just some random event or quest, this was something else entirely. He'd seen it with the soldiers he'd trained outside the dungeon's gates, they were far to lively and sporadic to be just common place NPCs....It had to be some kind of advanced A.I.
The necromancer winced and groaned with pain before struggle to remove the book from his chest and slide it towards the player's feet, “P-please....J-just take this...to...Origin Sta...” The young robbed man quickly faded after that in a haze of data, though his book remained.
QUEST COMPLETED!
The quest tracker would alert them all of their duty served, and the reward they'd be getting shortly after. Rex hissed under a breath as he stared down at the book before turning his back on the two unlikely allies he'd made, “....I'm getting the hell out of here, fuck that. You take it if you give a shit. Maybe it was just a quest...Te'h...” He muttered under a breath before finding the nearest door to...
