Just recently a bounty had been put in place for some knight gone loco in the area. A knight that was just a regular NPC with some more training with a weapon and armor than the other NPCs she'd enter countered so far. Taking him down would be a piece of cake. It was free money for Christ's sake, and June did love free stuff. Swiping in the air she brought up the UI and began to put a group in the LFG tool, whistling a song as she did so. A few minutes later she'd swipe again to dismiss the holographic images before her, her group all set for those that shared her same goal that afternoon. The description she'd given was brief, simply stating where to meet and that the group was for slaying Aldus. Nothing more nothing less. Doing that kind of leader stuff was boring to June so she just ran through it all, putting the minimal effort required to get people to meet up. A strong breeze passed through the clearing as the support waited, the remains of man and beast becoming visible as the grass swayed. 쉽다 Towns had spent most of his evening now rather relaxed, falling into a lack of motivation. Wanting to only spend time on it with his significant other or the rest of his guild. A pleasant surprise as the rather relaxed sniper scrolled through his interface. Another bounty? Why the hell not, within minutes he got the debriefing and let himself prepare for the fight. Coasting in from the deep forest, he found the clearing as described. A snap of a twig would draw June's eye only to see one of her party had arrived. Giving the girl a subtle nod and a casual salute, Towns approached her side. "Just waiting on one more yeah? You got a real plan of attack here?" LOVE ME LIKE AN ENEMY Fighting another undead creature seemed like a terrible, terrible idea considering his last encounter with one, but what the hell. With three members instead of two, it probably shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully. There was an attacker and another utility, and that was hopeful. Sure, a defender would be great but as long as he didn't need to get too up close and personal with the undead knight he could deal with minor disappointments in life. No more kiting undead bosses, though, he was done with that life. At first glance, the clearing was beautiful. To be honest, he hadn't been expecting that. Appearances weren't everything, though, and that became more apparent when he nearly tripped over a bone hidden from first glance by the tall ground. That explained it. From that point on, it wasn't hard to find the coordinates from the group finder tool, and Catharsis could see that he was the final one to arrive. Putting on his best smile, he waved. "So, is everything ready? Did I miss anything?" The perk of being the last to show up was not having to wait as long, even if he might have missed out on some context.

It was brief yet an enjoyable rest, coming to a halt at the voice of another. "Eh, something like that" she said with a yawn. "It's just like an NPC anyway, so like we hit it a few times and we gucci." An undead NPC was still an undead NPC. The worst it could do was swing a bit more wildly and have a larger health pool. Wasn't like it was a boss belonging to a dungeon or anything. June knew the whole thing was going to be a piece of cake. Just some NPCs over exaggerating the strength since they were about as strong as low level dungeon trash. The skunk haired girl waved her hand slightly as Catharsis arrived. "Like more or less I guess" she swiped the UI into vision, noting that the two were an attacker and another support. "I can like kite I guess, small heals and attack speed buffs too. Then you two can do whatever I guess." Yawning she came to a brief pause. "What do you two do anyway?" She was too tired for this leadership shit. All June wanted was some easy goods and to go back to sleep. 쉽다 Ultimately it wouldn't matter whether the thing was undead, a dragon. If they had just one attacker or a thousand of them. "This should be easy." Towns spoke in confidence as started moving away from the two of them. Finding a nice tree to start from when the fighting would begin, consciously looking over his rifle. Game or not, there might always be a glitch or some kind of fuck up. Not every game was perfect. Towns glanced back to the rest of his party, raising a eyebrow to June as she questioned their abilities. The answer should have been self explanatory, but the sharpshooter let out a low sigh. "Well I am ranged, and other then basic attacks, the more buffs on me the better. As long as we are able to stay in range of each other, healing shouldn't be a issue. A simple kitting and staying away from that sword of his." He said before grazing his head over to the one with red hair. "You got any special ideas here? If not we can start buffing me and we can get this started." He said as eager as he was. All Towns was waiting on now was him and the inevitable buffs before he started the fun. LOVE ME LIKE AN ENEMY If this other healer wanted to kite the boss, it wasn't Catharsis' business to give her a heads up. She was an adult, and she could make her own life decisions. Besides, it was better her than him. He nodded, listening to Towns as he spoke first. It was better to have one attacker than none, and the guy seemed contrasting to the girl in his desire for any kind of tactical plan. "Most of what I have are healing spells. I have a barrier, but if he needs to shoot through it to do damage, it won't be much good for us unless we're in trouble." Cat admitted with a shrug, before glancing at the girl. "If you're willing to kite it, feel free to focus more on that and leave the healing to me, if you're comfortable." Some people weren't, and he could respect that. After all, the entire reason why he'd become a healer was because he didn't trust anyone else to do it right. Or, well, part of the reason. There was potential trouble in having to stay close to who might get the most damage and having a ranged attacker, but Catharsis was deciding not to worry about it too much for now. He'd focus primarily on June until he was given reason to do otherwise. After all, it hadn't sounded like the knight had any friends to help it out this time. As long as they didn't get swarmed, he was happy to let the other two be confident enough for all three of them.

[attr="class","ig"] [attr="class","kikan"] June wandered forward into the beginning of the tall grass as she listened to the attacker. Some of the stuff he said was useless to her. Like buffing him. How the hell was she suppose to do that when he was way away while she was on the ground kiting? There was something called range that abilities have, and her's for a fact were not going to be able to reach all the way to where he'd taken position. "Yeah good luck getting buffs all the way over there" she called, rubbing her face slightly. As the red head spoke June nodded slightly, having no clue what she meant by " if he needs to shoot through it" to do damage. She understood that it was the barrier, but what the barrier would do she didn't have a freaking clue. Initially she thought that it was for protection but apparently not. Dude's barrier wasn't very barrier-y after all. "If that's all then I guess lets do this." Running forward she did her best to avoid falling from the bones hidden in the grass; both through trying to kick everything with each step and through sheer luck that nothing would be large enough to bring her down she made it through to the boss. The boss had barely moved an inch until she hit it with an auto attack, to which it responded with a swing of its sword. It cleaved cleanly through the air, missing June by millimeters. The battle had begun, the support running for dear as she found that this fight wasn't going to be so easy after all. 쉽다 Towns was about to speak up to June before she ran off. The easiest solution was to just buff him first before they started, he hadn't even gone too far to actually reach. Although it might have been for her considering how lazy she was when it came to planning things out. How irritating for Towns, he should have just picked a better offer then this one. At least the fellow support was all that irritating for him. Exchanging eye contact with Catharsis, he could see the sharpshooter visibly sigh. Things were even close to how he had planned, and it would slowly become a irritating rash because of this dumb girl. "Well fuck me I guess." He muttered under his breath before taking aim at the large undead knight. LOVE ME LIKE AN ENEMY Catharsis felt a rash of hot pin and needle prickling that wasn't quite the overwhelming flow and rush of anger. The Sharpshooter was annoyed, and when the guy tried for eye contact, Cat propped up a small smile and a shrug. So much for everyone being confident enough to make up for him not being so, but at least it gave him a charge of energy. Just as long as the sniper wasn't too tilted, they'd all still be fine. Catharsis turned to keep his eye on the undead man as the woman charged right in, and he took his sweet time ambling down into range with the undead knight, happy to let it play chase with the rash girl and give Towns a headstart on the damage. After all, who was he to steal the limelight? The moment he was in range, he lifted a hand to inflict a schadenfreude against the knight, watching as pixels of health broke away from the knight, redistributing to the only one nearby - the girl. Just as quickly as he'd cast the attack, he backed off, hoping not to draw the aggro from the girl but ready to deal with it if he did.

For every two of her steps the monster could take one step and still outdistance her. The only advantage she had was the fact it had to stand still to attack. It was only a few moments June spent running but it felt like forever to her. The vibrations that had accompanied every step Aldus had made so far had come to a halt, giving her reason to turn and see what was happening. Aldus' blade was crashing down on her. A burst of damage from the red head caused the boss to teeter somewhat, the blade only skimming June instead of colliding with her head on. The force was still enough to knock her down, pixels scattering from the inflicted region. "MOTHERFUCKER!" The attack dealt a sizable portion of health, only a fraction of which returning thanks to the support of June's party. Casting a combination of Constellations and Airflow the Gemini would return a small portion of health and become surrounded in a thin layer of wind. Back on her feet again June would repeat the previous process of running away from her pursuer, except this time with less health and the occasional burst of wind damage coming from her body. It'd last for a few seconds, but would at least help make a dent in the immense health bar Aldus had. 쉽다 While one support decided to Leroy their way into the fight, Towns scanned his view to the other. Casually strolling up to the thing and attacking it, it was something at most distracting the knight with its bastard sword. The sharpshooter couldn't believe the party he had joined, there was visible shake of his head at the matter. The fight should have been simple, Towns was confident of that. It wasn't until the boss struck the girl that Towns took things more seriously. But it was just a false alarms as the two supports began to focus on healing her. The sniper chewed the inside of his cheek as he hesitated, there simply wasn't enough firepower behind their attacks. But not all of his values had been expended yet for the fight, activating his Kill Zone. Rapidly pelting the boss with shot after shot with his new found dps. LOVE ME LIKE AN ENEMY Bad feelings all around, from the girl being attacked to the adverse effect the poor team set up was having on Towns, was feeding Catharsis well enough. He didn't feel the need to hesitate to give the girl a large burst heal, bond of compassion. If pushing her the rest of the way up to full health would make this go better, then it'd be worth it. "You're fine." He called out, keeping his voice at a calm, even tone. "Just focus." Of course, it was easy for him to say. He just hoped his side effect wouldn't kick in; he doubted she could handle the distraction he had to deal with at all times, even if it was short-lived. He didn't like being right so often. This was clearly going to be more difficult than the other two had assumed. Still, he wasn't worried yet, just as long as that thing wasn't focusing on him. Still, he made a point to note that the thing slowed to attack, which was probably going to be useful if his luck - or lack thereof - stayed about the same as it had been lately. For now, the monster seemed set on chasing June, even with her speed boost. He technically knew it was impossible for the thing to get a taste of blood and latch onto its target, but if he'd been in her shoes that certainly would have been what it felt like.

She'd activated eye of the hurricane to ensure she didn't trip, because if she did it was game over. It was an alternate use than what the skill had been designed for, the actual affect of causing auto attacks to miss being ineffective against the boss type mob. "Whatever you're doing could you go a little faster?!" she'd shout out, hearing the faint dinging sound of metal hitting metal. Eventually Aldus would have to give, and the sooner the better for her. Her heart was pumping fast, now a mixture of fear and thrill. Knowing that her support could actually keep her alive made things a lot less horrifying and rather enjoyable. As Aldus began to gain distance on her once more June knew she was beginning to run low on options of what she could do. Getting hit in the side with a giant sword was not an option she wanted to take either. Eyes darting around she looked for something, anything to help her out. That's when she spotted it, a hole dug into the ground by some animal just as the wind around her began to fade and the grass began to rise. Making a sharp turn in its direction June put every last ounce of strength she had left in her legs to run to and over it. Just seconds after she leaped over the hole the undead knight's foot got stuck in it, sending the boss smashing into the ground with a loud thud. Running a few more steps June would look over her shoulder, taking in the view of her fallen pursuer. "Kill the thing already!" At a halt the support caught her breath and rested for a brief moment. 쉽다 What morale support he had offered, Towns was not in comparison to that of what Catharsis had done. Healing back to full health, but even that wouldn't be enough. June seemed to find the constant hand holding that the fellow Utility had done was not enough. He watched as the tail was soon tucked between her legs as she ran away. Even if it was all part of her strategy, Towns couldn't help himself in raising a eyebrow behind his scope. She certainly wasn't Magistrix material. For all of her bravado she had, it certainly had taken some sort of toll on her. Towns would never know that feeling, for here he was casually leaning against the tree he had made his post. A small smirk would catch June's eye as he seemed to enjoy the show. Letting his auto attacks do most of his talking, eventually he would get a upgrade to his actions. However for the moment, this would be enough. The boss comically stuck in the ground, perhaps a glitch in the game as most higher difficultly creatures wouldn't get caught it suck silly means. She wasn't a defender, but he'd never expected her to be, and she was holding aggro better than he would have bothered to. And, well, the complaining just fueled Catharsis. He didn't actually mind this as much as he'd thought he would. The Empath broke into a smile when the Gemini tripped up the boss, since that was either the dumbest stroke of luck or some quick thinking. Maybe they'd be okay. Maybe.
