Rex was getting himself psyched up for what was about to come next. This was going to be his first time on floor one, and he knew it wasn't going to be easy. This shit was a real challenge, and it was killing a lot of players too. But if they were going to get out of this digital fucking prison, they'd have no choice but to press on and hope unlocking new levels would at least hint to a way to escape. As much as he would of liked to run this solo, it was impossible. So he'd picked the most unlikely ally to see him through it, together... rache. As much as he got along with Wist, he knew the guy just had to big of a heart to handle something like this. He'd never admit to being the guy's friend, but he was a comrade in arms. Rex knew if he died out here...Well Wist wouldn't be brave enough to run and save himself. If the Spazz wasn't already here, he'd wait in the last safe area before they'd be facing whatever hellish fiends lurked in this cold abyss. Were they going to be prepared? When she had gotten Kingrex's message, Rache had been surprised. Who would have expected him to actually message her for something other than to shout at her. She expected the friend ad to be used more for yelling at her for doing something during random encounters with each other. While his message obviously hadnt been the most polite, she was pleasantly surprised to see him asking for help.
Sure, it was probably because he wouldnt feel guilty if she died, but still! Friends were good. Maybe he was going to progress from being that type to being more open with his feelings? That'd be good! But more importantly... Maybe he'd let her braid his hair?
So, when she saw Rex walking into the final safe area, Rache hopped up to wave happily. ”Heya Rex!” she hummed before approaching him. The girl grinned from ear to ear. ”Thanks for inviting me~ Let's get going!”

It was funny how an addiction could carry even into a world like this. He swore he could feel that age old buzz hit him...But was it really just his mind remembering what it felt like? When Spazz walked up he'd pivot some to give her a stare of sapphires, remaining quiet for a moment before looking away and taking another drag on his smoke....
“Yeah..whatever.” He started, adjusting the swap that kept both of his weapons tethered to his body, “Better wipe that smile off, shits gunna get serious...real fast.” He warned with a subtle twitch from the cold breeze that blew in this place. The commando started them forward in a slow pace, eyes flicking towards the woman once more, “Alright...so same deal as always, yeah? I'll keep it busy while you set up traps. We ain't got a tank or support..so all we got is wit and ass kicking...”

Rache eyed the cigarette as the commando smoked it. Why would something like that be in the game? Her eyes narrowed as she stared at it. It felt like such an odd thing to go through the trouble of adding to the game... Was it added because it looked cool in some tv shows? Did it cause the same buzz as it did in the real world? As Rache thought about this, she didnt realize she was eerily staring at Rex's cigarette. It didnt bother her that he had it, she was just curious about it.
When he spoke, she seemed to break out of her cigarette induced train of thought and blinked softly. ”Eh? Why shouldnt I smile while I can then? Isnt it better to smile now than when I cant?” she asked with wide eyes. As Rex started walking, Rache followed behind him, glancing about curiously. Her eyes drifted up above them to the sky.
"Alright, I'll do the trap thing, but wouldnt it be better for me to do my honey bee poison? Oh, do you ever wonder why they decided to do instanced worlds instead of old school dungeons for these floors?"

[attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]The philosophical garbage that dripped from Rache's mouth left Rex's eyes rolling and the man visibly sighing to the point he nearly dropped his cigarette before he grabbed it between two fingers and tilted an annoyed look on the girl, “Don't start with that crap, not here...please...” He pleaded, which was a FAR MORE reasonable reaction than what most people got from the commando.
Eventually they'd be faced with a large ice wall that was blocking their path, the King tilted his head back to view upwards at the obstacle before slowly putting a corner of his chilling blues on Rache, “...You really think that shit will work on a Boss, or some of the heavier mobs out here?” He argued before shaking his head some at her rambled question, “What the hell does that matter? Probably because they wanted something bigger...” It probably wasn't the best answer he could of come up with...But oh well.
He'd move to put his smoke between his lips once again, reaching the same hand backwards then towards his back as if he was grabbing something there. A strange machine folded up would spawn from a flutter of digital haze, and with a small toss forward it would transform into a buzzing aerial drone.
“Activate Anchor Protocol...” Rex commanded, causing the drone to once again shift into a different form to suit it's master's needs. The commando grabbed at a grappling line at his waist before hooking it on the under belly of the drone, waving a hand towards Rache, “Come on...We're going up...I doubt anyone has been up there yet...Probably a good chance we can find some decent loot.”
Would she go along with it?
