A city of civilized monsters.
To say that he was taken aback by the creatures existing in the Under City was an understatement. They were so different in appearance but more so than that, they were the creatures that most children grew up fearing in storybooks. At least he thought they would fear them especially with the stories that he'd read thus far. However, upon coming off as wary towards them, he was told that he was rather rude by a vampiress accompanying her husband on an outing.
Not all monsters are the same.
She chastised him for a bit before continuing on her way with a little harumph. Her husband gave him an apologetic glance but otherwise followed at her heels. Well, that was one thing to write down on the list of things that he'd endured on his travels. He came a far ways from the Town of Origins and couldn't say that he was missing the same scenery that he'd grown accustomed to.
There was something about this. Something whimsical, fresh, and new that he was excited to embark on. After overcoming his initial fears, Blank walked along the avenues and trails made by people who looked a lot differently than he did. And at the end of his warning he found himself standing on a bridge overlooking a river coursing through the city where mermaids loved to swim through.
"This is amazing," he said aloud.

Drakka sniffed the stale air of the Underworld, shaking her head and enjoying the slap of her canine ears against her head. The monster citizens gave her no second looks, she even experienced the odd situation of a demonic child begging her mother to pet the "doggie". Drakka didn't mind, they treated her with respect and apologized if they were being rude, it was nice. Her eyes rolled to the side as a...man, yup, undoubtedly a normal man...walked past. She could practically feel a little bit of jittery fear coming off him, but he was looking more confident by the second. Unconsciously, she drifted against the crowd and crawled a respectable distance almost beside him, though it was likely he wouldn't notice considering she was just another monstrous face at the moment. Suddenly, she broke off and hopped upon the edge of the bridge, going quiet as she watched a mermaid leap into the air and splash down. As the man spoke, she blinked deeply and started to shift back to normal. In a few seconds, they would see her as an actual player, sitting with legs dangling off the edge, " Mmm...they didn't skimp on the graphics...even I look like a savage." blank
