Arriving on the sand-touched debris of the cursed ruins, the hemomancer kept his movement at a sluggish pace. His intent was fierce, but his plan immovable. Keep it simple and clean. Show up, slay the beast, grab the loot and get the hell out. That's how things were now, people just got in your way. Stupid creatures. They were weaker than the monsters that plagued this world. Only the drive of survival kept them moving, nothing more.
Along with Dione's other recent changes, sand began to take to the skies in a violent swirling motion. A sandstorm was brewing. How irritating. His pace stopped only for just a moment. A second just to recognize his own burden. Again, he moved forward towards a shadowed opening. Escape from the weather took the disguise of the monster's home. There was only one thing that could make this worse; another player to arrive on the scene.

An air of confidence floated behind him as the piercer carried himself out of the sandy dunes and into the cover of the tomb. Whipping his hair to one side of his shoulders as he dragged the sand out of it, Lithe would open his eyes to see the other person he had teamed up with in order to complete this bounty. With a soft smile the gentle looking man would walk forward, letting his hair rearrange itself on its on as he extended a hand.
"Hello, you must be the one I'm to be teaming up with to fight this creature with, no? I believe it would be for the good of both of us if we got along for this."
Though usually confident and cocky, today, he felt he should put on a different facade in the presence of someone that looks like he would bite his head off if he just looked at him wrong.

“Whatever.” A simple cold shoulder against the heat of the desert.
Again, there was no intention to stop, but his movements remained slow and heavy. His palms and fingers took residence in his pockets, along with the bracer-styled weapons that contained them. Why was this guy here in the first place? Why did the game force you to work together? It all one big strain, an issue, a goddamn burden. If he could tell the guy to shut they hell up and get away with it, he would, but unfortunately he was right in his own way. There was only one way to keep this player out of his way, and that was by keeping his problems to himself.
Carnage lead the duo into the narrow hall. There was no room for the piercer to reach the front unless he pressed for it. Perfect. Another way to keep the shitshow from becoming just that. The darkness kept things hard to see, but the defender pressed forward regardless. Even if something spawned on them in this narrow cavern, the hemomancer would remain uninterrupted. Kill the boss and get out.

retracting his hand disdainfully, he would let out a sigh as the other player simply shrugged him off. He wanted to make nice, or pretend to make nice at least, but it seems that this one wasn't going to bite. He'd roll his eyes as the defender turned his back and walk forward a bit, a light tone in his voice as he spoke.
"Not one for words are we? Well, we are going to have to communicate if you are planning to make it out of this alive, and if you won't talk the least you can do is listen."
Coming to the narrow hallway, the piercer would slowly edge his way in, trying his best not to scuff his armor, thinking that maybe it had durability on it and it would be unwise to die because of a scuff of the wall. He probably should read more into this stuff when he has the time to. Not now though, there was a bounty to claim.

“Whatever.” A simple cold shoulder against the heat of the desert.
Listen? What a joke. Carnage had already made note of his stats from before. They were both low level, with low tier gear to boot. But this game was different from normal. Gear and levels only took you so far. Skill was the most meaningful, but most players lacked it. To the hemomancer, the way this attacker carried himself proved his own theory outright. He had seen it before in other games, and it was even more apparent now. This guy was a nobody, and he would especially be no help on the battlefield.
“Why don't you listen...” Carnage began to lay out the ground rules for their relationship and any boundaries pertaining to them. “Keep out of my way, and we'll make this easy.” He bent his head down a little as his eyes closed for just a second. “You can thank me later for the easy carry.” Cockiness had a certain flair to it, but this wasn't it. It was real confidence, even if it wasn't necessarily true. Once the two reached a bigger room, the defender turned right from the door they just cleared. Just as the player stopped in his tracks, a loud banging nose erupted from the duo's front.

finally making it out of the hallway, the white haired male would look to the man as he started speaking. The calm smile on his face started to turn more and more to that of a poker face, then to an expression of annoyance.
It seemed that this defender thinks he has what it takes to be an attacker, and whats more is that he doubted his skills as an attacker. Tilting his head back a bit, the look he had would be replaced by a smug smile as the other man turned around.
Alright, if he thinks hes got this, he might as well sit back and take this 'easy carry' as he said. It's not like he cares if this man dies or not, he could care less even. It would honestly be a weight off his shoulders, one less person he had to take down in this shitty game before he came closer and closer to the top of the charts. If there are any that is.

The beating came to a halt. A silence spanned across the darkness of the scenery while the two egos played a mental match of arm wrestling. Humming to the sound of the sandstorm outside, a sound rivaling that of compressed gas echoed throughout the tomb. The room began to shift as a green tone colored the backdrop against the black. A disease, a sickness, a plague had entered the room. With its entrance, a plague debuff label popped up on the party's interface. The two would receive a short bit of damage over time due to the green cloud that covered the room.
“Find the target or die, your choice.” Carnage opened his interface and checked his menus with a shift of his fingers. He showed no fear. His class allowed him to find joy in receiving damage. But this situation was perfect. It pitted him against the attacker's faults and forced him to find a use for himself. If he lacked the skill required, then he'd perish just like the rest. Carnage's self heal would prevent any danger he would risk by playing with the peircer.

With the room's atmosphere setting and a sudden debuff taking place of the otherwise throat cutting silence the two had with the lack of dialogue between them, he'd cough a bit, the green haze all around him making him sick to his stomach. Sucking his teeth as he looked up at the defender, the cockiness oozing from him as he seemed to be taking no damage while the piercer suffered, the white hared man would look around a bit, unsheathing his sword in the process of looking.
"You, my friend, have made it on the very short list of people I don't like personally."
He'd say as he hurriedly started to look around, stabbing into any shadow he could as he started to panic, his health slowly ticking down. His breath ran thin as he continued to look around, stopping for a second as he stabbed into one shadow. Sighing deeply, he would set his sword to the stone as he took a deep breath, he can't panic right now, all should focus on is finding and killing this ting. Plus letting someone else seeing him frazzled would be embarrassing. With his thoughts all in one place, he would let out a deep breath and calmly start to look about.

“Hurry up.” He yawned with an arm lifted to his mouth. Blood began to spiral as it spawned into the world around the player, forming into larger rounded formations. As his health bar dropped, more and more blood appeared in the vicinity. Although the tactic was uncommon, it was powerful. Damage over time was usually never beneficial to anyone. To this attacker, it would quickly become his downfall. Especially if he didn't find the center to all of the sickness and disease.
“I'd try over there.” Carnage lifted a finger from his pockets, pointing to a curved opening across the room. Once the red-colored fluid reached a certain mass, the defender stretched his position into something flatter. Hunched over, his fingers bent like claws, acting as the conduit to his bracers. It was too hard to see. Too hard to navigate. But again, he had no intentions of staying here for long. His plan to use the peircer as a means of tank was cruel, but it was working. If he found someone, the blood-bender was ready to strike.

scoffing as the defender finally opened his mouth to say something other than a demeaning prod at the man, Lithe would side eye him before he rushed over yonder. Stabbing his rapier blindly into the darkness as he walked further into the area the hemomancer had pointed out, his weapon would stop as it hit a solid surface. With a light giggle, he would turn back to the defender and give a smug smile for a second before quickly turning back. Starting to pull back his weapon to start his thrust more into the bounty, he'd get caught misjudging how much was stuck into it.
He'd continued to pull, harder and harder, until the bounty smacked him clear across the room, rapier and all as his health dropped even more so. Coming to a stand as he grunted, he would look up at the mass of infested flesh as it stood over them, looking down on them, two small round orbs shining through the dark pits of it's eye sockets.

Target sighted. Maybe the piercer wasn't such an arrogant asshole like he played himself out to be, but maybe that was because he was forced into the situation like a lab rat. This was going to be easy. The smash and grab he truly wished for. But there was no way he was changing the circumstances. This nonsense deserved to be on the front-lines, tanking away even if he was the attacker and Carnage was the defender. After all, he had no other place to prove his worth. Anyone could deal damage, especially Carnage.
Using his bracers as the manipulator, the hemomancer ordered the scarlet substance into his front with the shift of both hands. Mid-air, the blood split into two main globs as it recognized the commands from both palms. Bending his elbows at the point, the fluid was summoned forward like an attack. One piece raced past the attacker's left shoulder while another cruised right past his cheek. Upon contact, the blood appeared to splash and solidify around the target's exterior. Fingertips from the hemomancer forged the blood into different shapes as his wrists concentrated on the barrage of blows. He would continue this onslaught until Lithe made another move.

Taking a noble stance, his left arm behind his back as his right hand aligned the rapier with the middle of his face, he’d stare down the target while globs of blood rushed past him. Eyeing his health as it dropped more and more, Lithe would take a deep breath, exhaling right after, calming himself.
With his body relaxed and his mind at ease, he’d rush in, moving in between the onslaught of blood clots the hemomancer had set at the bounty. The thin blade danced across the skin of the plagued creature, pieces of the solidified blood chipping off within the flurry of attacks as his passive generating a bleeding debuff on the creature, it taking damage on top of the damage he output.
It was then that he saw it, a weak point of the bounty, a certain part of its leg. Stopping his attacks he'd turn his focus to the bountys attacks, its arms starting to swing towards the piercer. Activating his skill Eyes Locked, he’d dodge the oncoming attacks as he looked towards the weak point. with one final swing from the bounty, Lithe would twist on his heel to deliver a decisive stab to the weak leg of the creature, crippling it as he backed off, allowing his partner to do his thing. carnage

Following the dancing-commands of white-haired attacker, the hemomancer insisted on acting coincide. Flipped roles created an interesting mechanic on the battlefield, and Carnage was one to act accordingly. Sounds of splash and moisture collapsed against the rhythm of the sandstorm outside. His fingers and palms twisted and mingled with the blood that he ordered with his own body. Upon the piercer's successful strike against the weak point, the pale player took queue. The scarlet substance slid across his blade, striking the same spot in succession.
A loud screech echoed from the creature upon the attack, but Carnage remained persistent and relentless. His fingers summoned another strike, and the another. Palms carved through the air as the red fluid bombarded what was left of their target. If it wasn't just as majestic as the piercer, it was better. The blood pranced through the openness of the dark air like a paint against a blank canvas. Constant blows were powerful, but weren't powerful enough to finish the beast as a whole. Because of this, the player reserved the final strike for the attacker.

Serious eyes once locked onto the bounty turned softer as the hemomancer delivered bloody blows to the mass of meat before them. This bounty didn't prove to be much more than a debuff that drained health. He’d chuckle as he pointed the end of the rapier at the bounty, gently swinging it a few times as he stood about five feet away from it, a strange symbol suddenly appearing on the chest of his opponent. As the ten second countdown started he would begin monologue.
“You put up a good fight, hardly even having to physically hit me, you have drained my health to the state it currently is, for that I applaud you. But… you have made a mistake…” As the bounty let out a shrill scream, it would be cut off just as soon as it started, the Rapier piercing the mark previously made on its body. “... You fought against me.” Pushing the rapier deeper into the infested bounty with his other hand, it would explode into pixels, only the man clad in all white remaining.
Standing up as he sheathed his rapier with a flourish, he’d be turned away from the other party member. Slowly turning to the other man he’d have a goofy smile on his face, “Did you see that?! I was totally like a superhero just then!” He showed no intention of his smile stopping any time soon. carnage

Focused hues provided a short term glance before returning to their own duty. Swift and masterful, that's all the hemomancer begged from anyone and the piercer did a great job of bolding those colors. Hardly a masterpiece, but it got the job done. He walked past the soldier in a steady pace and picked up the loot from the floor. In terms of reflecting a compliment was far from the question however, and Carnage returned back to what he always did. Fingers sprawled against the lining of his pockets with his torso turning back to the door. “Just stay out of my way next time.” He used a single tone for his feelings on the piercer's condition.
Making his way throughout the labyrinth, the blood mage found himself back through the same path he had entered on. Runes and masterful sculptures hardly caught any attention on his second journey through the same place. Determined and focused, he kept his eyes on the single prize. Survive, especially at the expense of others lacking the necessary skill to do it themselves.
