JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS The stench of warm alcohol permeated the sweltering air. The idea of a cold beer sounded nice, but There was no point in ordering any food or drink in the game it was all for the 'human' aesthetic, and even if it wasn't drinking before a job wasn't really something Dino... well Djinn was privy too. Dressed in basic armor for his class a thick jacket, q pair of ragged combat boots, and a shoddy looking rifle on his back. the man continued to meditate on the constantly blurring lines of reality and this goddamned game. Specifically, the disdain and perhaps even fear that came from the merge he was experiencing. While Djinn was sane, he didn't appreciate how quickly he was getting accustomed to this virtual existence. Even more, there were times he preferred this trap to 'reality'even if the feelings were subconscious at best. Before the basic soldier could delve even further into his fruitless reflections the sound of a wet glass sliding across the wooden countertop dragged him back into reality, this reality and the situation at hand. A bartender that seemed too realistic for the commander's taste was glaring at the lightly-dressed player, the source of the water Djinn was sure. "This one's on the house pardner but I can't have you loiterin' round these parts forever. Get something or get ta steppin.'" Gold irises honed in on the glass beads of water soaking into the already ruined countertop something unreadable buried in them. " Give me 5 minutes old timer, I'm meeting someone." The only reason the man had made it out this far in the desert was a bounty he'd taken alongside another player. He was tight on cash and combat experience, the man who'd accepted first was fairly powerful or at least more powerful than himself and while mooching off stronger players weren't the most stylish maneuvers, but he wasn't in it to be stylish. word count ✖ MAGICMAN ✖ notes if you want

[attr="class","borderimg"] [attr="class","genesis"] [attr="class","weight"]mirror i found sorrow, He was starting to wonder if he had a thing for defenders like himself. Bounties were interesting little things. Tidbits of lore and mystery that were tantalizing for those curious about lore. If it was just a normal game, it would be easy and entertaining to him. Yet this game was not a game anymore - it had become reality on several levels. And the red head was one of those people that didn't want to think about 'outside' all that much. Mainly because video games are escapism from a lonely, miserable life, even when they become a death trap. It had become a place where he could be more then just what he was expected to be, or failed to be. And he thrived in such a place, even as he was walking in the desert sun to his destination. It was hot, there was no denying that. The cape on his shoulders billowed behind him, giving him a striking figure. His eyes were cold, some might even say empty as he took in the surrounding area. Scurrying passerby, people that were frightened. All the signs of a haunt of his little bounty. If he was such a male, he'd smirk in arrogance. But such a thing - arrogance that is - had no place in this situation. His partner for this case was graciously waiting for him. Unfortunately for Magicman, the guild meeting had gone on a little longer then expect, and thus he was slightly late. He hated that, so his strides were long and quick, to make up some time. It worked a little bit. A bar was a normal meeting area. He cut an impressive figure, the small doors open and the sun at his back. His long cape billowing as he moved, curled around his ankles as if he could vanish with it. A head of red, and ice cold blue eyes that seemed to glow eerily in the shadows that fell across his face. It could have been a tactic, but honestly on some level, Magicman just enjoyed such trivial little things like that. But his gaze landed on the only player in the room at this time. That must be his partner for this bounty, even as he approached him. ''It won't be long now before he strikes.'' he said. No need for introductions, as his fingers tapped the party invite with a smooth, practiced motion to the male. Magicman did not like people, he knew that much. It made him someone that cut straight to the heart of things quickly. Perhaps the other would appreciate it, perhaps not. But he was simply here for the bounty, nothing more, nothing less. He had no obligations here. [attr="class","angeal"] djinn bounty 1/8 |

JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS Just as the commander said it only took a minute or two longer for a face to appear at the head of the bar. Djinn didn't bother turning as the saloon doors swung open varying levels of light shining through the opening until a shadow stood over him entirely. The untouched glass of water shifted ever so slightly the single surviving ice cube floating in the center of the glass shivering slightly. The party invite came before his words a small message box reading "Magicman" alongside a confirm and deny button. The blue circle flashed as the commander's fingers grazed the screen only visible to him and in less than a second his teammate's life bar would appear in his peripherals alongside a few 'buff' indicators "We're linked now, I'll hear everything you want to tell me up as long as you're within ten miles, aite?."focused irises eyes shifted from the glass as he stood up now turning to face the red-haired player. Gold clashed with blue as silence once again fell over the bar. They didn't have much time for introductions, nor did it seem like they really cared to. Still, if only because it was how he was taught before he was trapped in this prison he'd offer a hand to his red-haired comrade. "Djinn, let's work well together." word count ✖ MAGICMAN ✖ notes if you want [/quote]

[attr="class","borderimg"] [attr="class","genesis"] [attr="class","weight"]mirror i found sorrow, Despite his disgust for people, the male thought that this might actually go well for once. His words were actually sensible, and didn't waste time either. The red head could almost feel appreciation for that honestly. Those feelings were perhaps the only reason that he wasn't his naturally 'charming' self. Taking the offered hand - he did know how to be polite - he shook it once firmly. ''Magicman.'' he replied, not really having a reply to his comment afterwards. If he tried, the male might say something like 'and as long as you're not going to fuck up' but that would be more then rude. And even though normally it wouldn't bother him, he figured saying something like that wasn't going to contribute to teamwork all that well. His head twisted, even as the in-game alarm ringed. ''Our target is in the area.'' he said. Magicman had worked hard to memorize how the system worked - and as with most bounties, they had a marker. Most people had a hard time keeping an eye on the UI and in the game, but he was used to such multitasking. After all, how else are you supposed to be able to chant a Latin-based spell, whilst doing the appropriate ritualistic motions on top of that, without being able to multitask? The red head felt the ghost of a smirk - barely could tell it was there - cross his face, because it was about time things got going. Turning on his heel, he was already on his way out, eye on the mini-map to track their prey. ''Showtime.'' he muttered. [attr="class","angeal"] djinn bounty 2/8 sprry for the wait :/ |

JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS Shortly following the firm shake Magicman would move to the entrance the commander close behind. Where the younger red-headed man would step out the white haired man would peek out before hiding behind a banister of sorts, it wasn't full cover but it would do for now. It had to judging by how close the threatening red dot seemed to move on the map now. The man would count down from twenty his eyes sharpening as the barrel of the rifle faced down the open street. With the sun high in the sky, the silence on the road and the combination of sand and dirt rolling through the roads the setup definitely felt like he was in some kind of old western. "The enemy is known for its accuracy with two revolvers. each can hold six shots and one in the barrel. Best plan to stay alive is to count the shots and focus our attacks when he's reloading. You get all the Magicman?" He didn't know if the man had chosen a point close to him or far from him, but with the C.O.M system active he was confident that his partner defender had heard the information. With his finger hesitating on the trigger and a single bead of sweat falling from his brow he'd wait for his target to appear. 5...4...3...2...1 And so the bandit appeared from the horizon with a full hail of gunfire to welcome him down the street. word count ✖ MAGICMAN ✖ notes if you want

[attr="class","borderimg"] [attr="class","genesis"] [attr="class","weight"]mirror i found sorrow, He was vaguely impressed. This guy wasn't useless like other people. ''Of course.'' he said. The male's plan was rather simple, but efficient in nature. Waiting it out for their bounty to reload, and then attacking in that moment was a rather base strategy. But it was the basics that were beautiful, in a way. The red head knew they would have an even more effective time of it then most. Mainly because he could do something that most classes couldn't - shield. He was a defender after all, a tank. And with the magic in his veins, he knew he could take anything thrown at him. If anyone could see him, they might question the smile blooming on his lips - it's more of a smirk honestly - because he wasn't the type of person to do something like that. But this was fun, in it's own way. His fingers lit up with magic, even as the air around him coalesced. A shape was forming around him, even as he cast EXPECTO PATRONUM from his spell repertoire. The guardian he wanted this time, would be interesting enough. An equine shape was forming, and with a single touch he hopped onto it. Another flick of his wrist, and his PRANA COMPLEX sprung around his comarade. ''Don't worry about taking hits.'' he said simply. And honestly it was with good timing, considering the hailstorm of bullets down the street towards their bounty. Each hit that would have given his party member the aggro? Well that aggro came to him. And when the reloading was done, Magicman was a moving target ontop a magic horse. [attr="class","angeal"] djinn bounty 3/8 let's get this done o7 |
