Wist hadn't really expected that, geez what did this damn boss want from them. Still he would take a giant club like thing versus a canon that could kill them instantly if they got hit with it. Wisteria might have even wheezed a little when the other yelled at him as he quickly tried to get distance between the huge beam of a club and himself. After all much bigger area to dodge if he could get far enough away.
"Shut it! At least it can't fire at us anymore." he replied followed by a small yelp as he quickly jumped to the side to avoid the huge beam. "Jesus Christ." he hissed feeling the wind knocked out of him just from the beam coming that close to hitting him that would have hurt like hell. Damn he did not want to get hit with a huge piece of metal, he had already been thrown after all. It was however that his yellow orbs noticed that Rex managed to actually blast off the main chest piece of the giant robot which meant that they finally had something to work with now.
"Working on it!" he called getting his shit back together while the blonde had his attention. He would need something else to jump off again if he wanted to get close to him, but how on earth was he supposed to cling to that stupid thing and stab at the same time? Bloody hell. "You wouldn't happen to have any knives on you would you?" he asked but looking around he instead grabbed a knife that was still left from an npc. This might work, but hell he was risking falling on a shitty looking knife.
"Nevermind, just... keep it distracted for a moment while I find something to jump off of." Wist finished as he started setting up tables again. Geez, what he could have wished for a monster right now that could just throw him or something.

[attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]Rex slowly stood himself up with a cold glare on the robot that had been shitting on their day. The timer had gotten down to a measly two minutes before they'd fail and all of this would be for nothing. With a growl of sharp teeth he'd reach to pull out his machete once again from his back and stalk towards the giant of metal.
They'd seriously done a hell of a number on the thing. Not only was it's cockpit exposed, but most of the machine was in shambled smoking and sparking with defeat. They were getting seriously close to killing this bastard, and Rex was about to seal the deal with his next move. “Oh..I'll fuck'n keep it distracted all right..” He muttered darkly under a breath.
The Boss rose one of it's powerful arms and clenched it's sparking fist, flailing it downwards in attempt to smash Rex, the man smoothly pivoted to a side and reached to grab onto some of the wires exposed in the suit, hurling himself on the arm and crawling it's length like some kind of animal before jumping from it with his sharp blade aimed downwards at a strike into the cockpit.
The blade screeched against metal and found soft flesh waiting inside, the man guiding the machine cried out in pain, “No way! H-how?! Get...get off me!” The boss cried out. It wasn't dead yet though, Rex had merely held it in place, and was still clinging with his machete stabbed into the thing's chest, eyes flicking back on snowflake, “Finish it! Now!” He pleaded in anger....

Wist didn't concentrate on the blondie now trusting that he would be able to hold it off. After all for as different as they were they had obviously worked really well together. Wisteria instead would concentrate on getting his own shit together to deliver the final powerful blow on the damn fucker. He had caused a lot of trouble for the both of them and their life bars were a test to that, considering both of them had taken a hell of a lot of damage.
Wist had managed to make his jumping point before yellow hues glanced back over to the other who seemed to have gotten his own revenge on the boss. It was amusing watching the other cling to him by shoving his machete into the person hiding in the cockpit. Wist moved back and quickly ran jumping off his makeshift point and slamming the knife in an open part of the machine to hold on. Using it he swung himself over to where the other had his own grip as the both clouded the others vision now.
"Game over buddy." Wist smiled with an underlying sense of dread before he spun his blade in his hand before slamming down hard into the chest of the boss right near the machette had done enough damage for one strong blow to finish the job. The face of the other was obviously struck with pain as his health bar fell below zero and the entire thing turned into digital pieces that scattered. Which also meant that both of them no longer had something to hang onto and would fall back to the floor below.
"Ow shit." Wisteria groaned but hell it was over and he just wanted to lay on the floor for the next few seconds. That had been way too hard and there was no way they would have been able to do it without each other, and for just this one second Wist would approve of his blonde friend.
"Good job you asshole." he grumbled but there was a smile on his face regardless.

With a mere five seconds left on the counter, even Rex's ass cheeks had been tense right up until that moment. With a toothy grin he'd flop to the ground on his back somewhere near the snowflake, exhausted yet sharp gaze pointed at the ceiling.
Finally it all came at him at once what they'd just done, and he couldn't help but laugh. A hearty and raspy chuckle slithered out from the crazy commando before he slowly sat himself up, legs laying flat and outstretched against the ruined marble, “..Fuck could you imagine if they made us pay for all the damages? We tore this place a new asshole...” He joked before tilting his sapphires through long blonde bangs at the man...
“...Not bad yourself, snowflake.” It was probably the least offensive and shitty thing Rex had ever said to anyone in awhile. It was hard to tell what was going on in that twisted mind of his, but Wist could feel pretty certain he'd gained a shred of the King's respect after this one. With that Rex would lean over with a clenched fist, expecting a bro-bump before they'd get the hell out of there with their reward.
QUEST COMPLETED!
Later they'd find out that that specific boss battle was a rare encounter and had never been completed before without a full party of five tackling it. It was rumored that some players had even previously lost their lives to that Boss, so it was about time someone finally put the mecha-terror to rest....

Wist couldn't help but feel proud at the shit they had managed to do together, as the stupid boss finally managed to go down thanks to their efforts together. Maybe, just maybe, Wist would admit that working with the blonde was kinda fun - and he would probably like to do it again. Wist however knew that enough time around him he would probably start to get his limited vocabulary.
It seemed the other however was as exhausted as him as they both flopped on the floor as sprawled out as possible. "Holy shit that was too close for comfort, but hell we didn't have to chase it around anywhere." he said with a smile. Still it was super nice to be able to flop around now and not have to worry about some major boss trying to fuck up your hp bar. "Oh that would totally be your fault, we might as well not have taken the quest if that was the case." he said laughing lightly at the other's comment. Still it was nice that npc stuff auto regenerated after they stepped out of it and the bank would be back to normal.
"Yeah, we did pretty good." he said smiling now and watching as the other sat up and clenched up his fist for him. Wist slowly sat back up and finished the fist bump just as the banner came across that they had defeated the quest and hell did they deserve a long nap after this.
"Maybe I'll cross your path again sometimes soon, and next time you won't insult me as much." he teased the other before slowly hoping up from his sitting position. "So stay alive till next time okay? I would hate to find out my first quest partner kicked the bucket after talking so big after all." he said waving his hand to the other as he left.
Finding out later however, all Wist could do was smile, seems like they were a pretty good pair after all.
