Kachingkk!! The chest burped coins as they tossed it onto the dock. Under the sun, the coins shined brighter, adopting the golden rays into their own. A celebratory laugh popped from Beat's lips. Mustang's high spirits were infectious, and Beat discovered that he had contracted the same beating bug.
"Best workout I've had in ages." Facetious, but Beat's statement held partial truth. Grinning wide like the chest nearby, he splashed water into Mustang's face.
After, Beat heaved himself up onto the dock. He rolled once before sprawling onto his back. Arms spread wide, he bathed in the heat of the sun and let the water slowly drip off his body. He could sleep here. He was content like a cat after a meal, hand returning to scratch at his stomach.
Eventually, the two turned in their quest. The old man NPC performed his theatrics, exclaiming awe and satisfaction at the completion of their quest. Their EXP bar was fed, and their inventories were adorned with a Wooden Figurehead. But the reward was much more than simple crafting material. The party had not dissolved yet.
