the girl turned wolf had no clue what was going on around her. her focus instead was on her teeth that were clamped into the bears leg. all sorts of sounds were happening around her, but her eyes were clenched shut as the bear tried to shake her off. she hoped that inari and kintoki were okay. fighting the bear and getting out alive were the only thoughts that were spinning in circles around her head.
with a few more shakes of his leg, aleu was tossed off, her body skidding across the cold icy floor. the bite of the frost was more painful than her land from the fall, but she pulled herself up. terrified, her tail was tucked between her legs, but she couldn't give up now, not when these two men were risking their lives to fight beside her.
while her summoned wolves were fighting the smaller prey, the lycanthrope put all of her focus onto the main boss. when she heard another bark from inari's beast, she took her chance to charge once more at the large bear. this time, though, she didn't bite its leg. instead she reared back onto her hind legs to claw at whatever she could on the monster.

inari's breath caught in his throat when toki fell, and everything else ceased to matter except getting the other man out alive. when aleu was thrown, the man truly began to panic - he was an attacker, and yet, what was he to do? the dog at his side was barking shrill and fast now, an incessant cacophony that refused to cease on his own orders. the banshee was his best bet in whittling down the bear's health, and he had no patience left to hang back.
toki could only be angry at him for it later if they survived, after all. he would just have to remember to be grateful for that much.
pushing forward, inari watched as the bear's limb fell limp following his fiance's attack, drawing his own sword as he rounded to that side. it was cheap, but he knew his health wasn't that great, his armor weak. he needed to play it safe if they would both survive this, but he also needed to strike now. lunging, inari attacked, seeking to drive his sword in through a narrow gap in the bear's armor. if he struck true, then this would all be over soon.
if he failed -
he refused to consider it, not hesitating in the force of his attack.

kintoki let out a harsh breath as he felt himself bend over almost ready to black out from the pain. it was pure stubbornness that was driving him now. with a hand on his knee, he rested for a quick two seconds through steady breaths to dull the sharp pain. problem was his own arm was growing heavy. toki grunted, doing his best to lift the dead arm holding tightly to his one and only weapon. try as he might, it wasn't budging under the weight of the katana.
the bakemono growled, eyeing the health bar that aleu had personally whittled down into the red. all he needed to do was to continue slowing down the monster, distracting it from their party's secondary attacker. "what?" kintoki gasped when inari had come into his peripheral, attacking the monster with the point of his own sword. the gap was narrow and the strike was accurate only missing the push needed to pierce through. no problem. rolling the shoulder of his good arm, kintoki pressed his palm up against the end of the katana, forcing it through with his strength added to inari's.
this was it.
the armor would shatter and aleu would finish it with this.

aleu fell back down onto four paws after ceasing to claw and the bear's chest and arms. with the two of them in his face, the bear wouldn't last for long. this was especially true as the third member of their party came up, as well, shoving his sword through a gap in the bear's armor. the defender, too, pushed upon the blade, shoving it deeper into the bear.
this was it.
once more rising onto her hind legs, the wolf jumped into the air to sink her teeth into the bear's throat, hoping to once and for all finish him off. with the blade pushing into its side and the wolf's teeth in his neck, the large bear drew its final breath before evaporating into pixels. falling roughly onto the floor, the girl heaved out a sigh. her eyes gazed around the room, some of the smaller bear's falling their leader, turning into pixels themselves due to her summoned wolves. other bears retreated from the scene, not wanting to meet the same fate.
it was over.
