"So, does it count as championing love if it's an artist's love for their craft?"[break] [break] The question went unanswered by Lasivia, not that Raynauld expected his God to answer. After some general cajoling of the players around at the time, Raynauld managed to catch two others for a quest - something about defending or working on a farm, the instructions had been frustratingly vague - and was currently waiting for the other two to arrive. If nothing else, it was a change of pace from the usual routine of "go here, punch mook" that had made up Raynauld's current day-to-day life.[break] [break] Raynauld stood at the entrance to the location, just off to the side - didn't want to block NPC traffic - with his shield out and resting firmly on its bottom point, just like a sentinel or a statue. He'd been testing out heroic poses for roughly the past hour, but this was the best one he had come up with. Or maybe he was just bored waiting for the others, whichever. Thankfully, the odds of this being a particularly easy quest were pretty high, barring some insane twist halfway in. But with three people, even that just meant easy money.[break] [break] Raynauld yawned. Any day now, team... Oasis hyperion

It seemed like an easy enough start really. Something simple to get her on her feet? After being in her book for so long, a quick task would help get Oasis back into the feel of being in the field again. It's felt like ages and yet here she was. The task was simply the protection of a farm land and it's animals. The mention of protection of animals would have been enough to get her on her way there really. And, from the sound of the description, this farm was far more important than what she had believed. She looked forward to it, and of course the company. She didn't exactly look forward to the possible filth of the farm itself. Perhaps if she focused hard enough, she could ignore it or ignore fixing it.
The venture there was calm. It seemed her companions wished to meet there, which was perfectly fine with her. Regardless, a little company would do wonders in helping her people skills. The fear of embarrassing herself dwindled in the back of her mind.
With the view of the farm coming into the trail, a small smile appeared on her face. She could hear the animals from here. Oh, how excited she was. If she was lucky, perhaps no trouble makers would appear and she could get a closer look at the bewildering occupants.
She came to a small stop in her tracks. A man at the entrance of the farm. She adjusted her glasses a bit... baffled by his stance. Did he have some sort of back injury? She paid no mind and decided not to mention it. Once she approached him, she offered her hand for a friendly shaking. A proper greeting.
"Oasis. It's a pleasure meeting you. You must be one of my companions for this quest, correct?"

Roseberry Farms was the target for Hyperion's antics today. It felt like it was just yesterday he was washing sand out of his shield and clothes. He had gone to Dione for a small treaure hunt, which he miserably failed. It didn't bother him much though. So what if other players had shiny new treaures and whatnot. Today, he was gonna do his first quest and get rewarded through hard work and perserverance. He could almost taste the groan that escaped his mouth. It was going to suck. When he arrived at the farm, he was met with two others. They must have been the others who took this job. Aside from that one guy he met at the station, he didn't really know anyone else. He shrugged it off. Apparently, he would be meeting some new people today. One of them, the other boy, had a shield like him, although his was strapped to his back. He assumed this job would only be farm work, whatever that was, and wondered why he looked prepared to jump into battle. He shrugged that off, too. None of that mattered now. It was time to get down to work. "Hi! I'm Hyperion,' he said with a smile and a wave. |

"Oh!"[break] [break] Raynauld stood back to attention. Right, people were around now - time to look reasonable! The first one was a girl, clearly bookish - didn't take a PhD to figure that one out - and then a man who couldn't have been that much older than he was. The girl was holding her hand out; best to take it, no doubt.[break] [break] "Yes, you must be the ones. Good day to you, Lady Oasis, Sir Hyperion - My name is Raynauld, Crusader Knight in service to She of The Love Between the Fated, Lasivia." Raynauld took Oasis's hand; his grip was firm, almost powerful. It was released just as quickly, a professional handshake if one could be called that. "I'm glad the two of you could make it here! It must have been quite the trek. Well, I hope you're all excited to live life on the ranch!"[break] [break] Raynauld was way too proud of everything that had just come out of his mouth unironically. Maybe he was just really into agriculture. Hopefully. Raynault stretched again, then looked from Oasis to Hyperion.[break] [break] "Hope you don't mind if I lead the way," Raynauld began to walk and talk, heading into the area proper. "What do you think they'll have us do? The description was frustratingly vague..."[break] [break] Oasis hyperion [break] Posts: 2
