If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go a farm? f'real? saleos couldn't help but stifle a laugh as he picked up the next quest from the quest giver with rippling biceps for a woman. he almost questioned her gender but she had such a perky set that he was sure that she had to be a lady. his own companion, caius, soared through the sky before finding his way onto the man's shoulder to give him a couple of solid pecks in the head to punish him for the salacious thoughts that muddled around in his mind. " Shit, no chill, huh!" He cried out in anguish at the bird who simply clutched harder onto Saleos' shirt for stability. "We have to go and garden anyways, might be nice to get you fed so you're not such a lil punk." He chose his words carefully, wanting to insult his bird even more but decided against it. Saleos arrived at the valley and the farms to acres of fruits, vegetables and livestock all growing, existing to feed the population. "Where to first?" Looking at the quest once more, he saw that they needed help picking some of their fruit and tending to the weeds in the garden. Saleos wasn't about to enjoy this but he knew with just a little imagination, he could have a not so miserable time. quest: roseberry farms[googlefont=Oswald]

that was you. A day without having to do battles sounded like a safe bet. Money for not having to fight something was great in Catharsis' book. At least, it had been right up until he realized that gardening was actually ... like ... work. Fuck. Why hadn't anyone ever given him a heads up before he'd accepted this quest? I mean, sure, the lady had talked about how the work was too much for her- but he'd just assumed that was flavor text to feed some nerd's one true hero complex or whatever. He stifled a sigh, leaning against the staff slightly as he stared at the garden. It was almost as if he was hoping, deep down, that if he stared hard enough the weeds would just go away. Burst into pixels. Anything? Nope. The man had finally resigned himself to actually having to do manual labor, when he heard someone approaching pretty loudly. He straightened, pulling on his best casual smile. He didn't have to check to know the person was a player and not some npc. "Hey." That was great. If someone else had the quest, then the work could probably be split - at worst. And Catharsis didn't see any reason someone would have for sticking around unless they had the damn quest. His eyes did rest on the man's pet for a moment, unsure; he hadn't seen one like it before, but that didn't mean much in BWO. Curiosity drawing him, he started pulling up the other player's information without actually asking him anything. A Jungle Fury, huh? He hadn't run into one of those before. saleosMADE BY ★MEULK

If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go The fact that the heat at the Valley of the Fallen was already so intense that beads of sweat began to build on his forehead was absolutely not a good sign of how hot the day was going to be. ”fuck.” he muttered under his breath, taking the end of his shirt and dapping the beads off of his face more out of habit than annoyance. The reality was it wasn’t too hot or uncomfortable, but it felt more like a mind game instead of Jason’s head than anything else. Caius let out a gnarly caw right inside of his companion’s ear and flew off to sneakily enjoy some of the fruits that the garden had to offer. He heard the greeting but it didn’t register until he saw the carmine-haired player already starting to figure out how to deal with the task at hand. ”Eyo. You doin’ this shitty quest too?” He asked, tab-targeting over to Catharsis reading his class as an Empath. ’interesting.’ he thought before holding tight to his tome and bending down to touch against the weeds, wondering if his power over the elements would allow him to somewhat communicate with these quest items as well. There was a small connection but not enough to do anything, didn’t help that Jason barely had any spells inside of his tome. ”I’m Saleos… Jungle Fury, that shit head bird is Caius.” Tossing a party invite over to the other person, figure each weed pulled or crop harvested would make the progress bar fill up faster. that was you. Catharsis couldn't keep a wince from making his smile falter for just a sec at the bird's caw. Oh, that couldn't have been fun to happen right in your ear, even in a simulation. At least it being a simulation meant there was no lasting damage. Of course, that assumed the guy made it out of this hell game alive. He grinned at the confirmation that he had been right; this guy had that quest too. "Why else hang around here." He said, and it wasn't a question in his mind. He accepted the party request, happy to get to work as long as the guy had the same idea. "Caius, huh?" He murmured, glancing off in the direction the bird had flown before studying the guy's face a bit better. Hard to be good with faces if you didn't look at them and all that. "Looks like a nice pet. Where'd you get them?" He hadn't seen one before, so it'd be good to keep track of what was coming from where while he could. Without wasting any time standing around for the man's answer, he went ahead and moved to pull up a weed. It was, infuriatingly, simultaneously not as hard and harder than he'd expected it to be. Ah, yeah. This was going to be a blast. saleos 2/10 MADE BY ★MEULK

If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go ”Maybe you’re from Kansas and you find joy in doing dumb shit like picking weeds?” He responded. It could’ve been a very true reality for some but it definitely wasn’t something for Jason. He bent down even more, picking the weeds and making a pile for someone to come and pick it all up. ”It’s a Great Hornbill. Kinda a pet, more of a companion that comes with the class. Jungle Fury’s can fight with these particular pets and I think some of the skills allow like transformations and stuff and more pets. I was reading up on it before I started but I haven’t found too much information in-game. Had a Jungle sequence before I got here. It was either the bird or some sorta rat like character. I’m hoping to find something a bit more sturdy eventually.” He spoke candidly about his skills, with PVP not being implemented yet, he just didn’t want to share his entire arsenal in case the day came when someone could easily use that information against him. ”What about you, empath? What’s your skills all about, emotions?”Caius flying down and picking up some fruit off the bushes, the bird whipped it over to the other player just wanting to cause a little havoc for being kept isolated with just his player for so long. ”Don’t mind the bird, we’re still going through our introductions. One day he’ll be less shitty, I hope.” [googlefont=Oswald]

that was you. Cat scoffed at the alternative option granted to him, glancing over at the stranger with a grin. He liked to think he didn't really look like anyone from either Kansas the guy could be referring to, but it was funny nonetheless. He listened pretty easily, since one never knew when it'd turn out to be useful to know something about other classes, but it didn't mean too much to him in that moment either. Still, it was interesting. "So do you have to like, charm certain animals later down the line for that or what?" He offered a bright smile at the question into his own ability. "Hm? Oh, yeah. Party emotions can give me better mana regen, is the short of it." He offered, finding that to be a better explanation than most he'd tried thus far. If nothing else, it gave the basic idea that seemed to satisfy most. He paused mid pulling up a weed when he was hit, giving the bird a hard blink for a moment before he smiled at Saleos as if nothing had happened. "Really? Well, good luck with that."He truly meant it. He had no reason to hope for otherwise. Especially if he might run into the guy again. saleos 3/10 MADE BY ★MEULK

If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go ”I believe so. I have an incantation and I think every odd level i’m able to charm another pet and then at level 5, i’m able to have two summoned at a time. It’s pretty interesting.” Saleos couldn’t wait to level up though, there was so much more skills and spells to be unlocked that he was getting incredibly impatient with a rooting spell and a basic nature blast. ”They have to be animals that can be found in jungle-like areas though. That’s the one stipulation so if you find one, please let me know.” He was half-joking but he wasn’t able to find anything remotely tameable once he reached level 3 which felt a little concerning. ”That’s pretty cool. You a mage-like class then or more of a healer?” He figured the other was a spell slinger like he was but there had been a few times that looks were incredibly deceiving. Truly, Cat could’ve been a tank, that’s how this world worked for the most part. Anything was possible. Saleos wasn’t sure if there was too much he wanted to know about the game considering how much his mind had been wondering back to his once-promising real life. [googlefont=Oswald]

that was you. Catharsis listened, filing the information away until later. It might never be useful to him, but it was out of habit that he kept even little details in mind. At least the restriction to things found in the jungle seemed to be an obstacle or at least a challenge. He shrugged at the request to keep any eye out for anything that might apply, not seeing the harm in it. "Sure, why not." Without thinking twice about it, he shot the guy a friend request so he'd be easy to contact if anything came in mind. When he was asked about his own abilities, he paused. Not out of any hesitation to tell the guy so much that he wasn't actually entirely sure of the full range of abilities available to him yet. "It's mostly supportive so far." He finally said when he glanced up from the weed he'd pulled, and a sly smile. "I'm basically harmless." At least in this context, it wasn't a lie. saleos 4/10 MADE BY ★MEULK

If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go ”How ambiguous.” He shot a look over to the other, not upset that the other decided an aloof method might be the best way to ensure his safety in the world of BWO, especially if the social climate in the game began incredibly more cutthroat. Saleos added the other onto his friend list with a quick nod, moving his hands a little faster through his section of the farm to clean out the area of the weeds plaguing the vegetables and berries. It wasn’t until he finished his small plot that a rumbling of the earth began to fill the area of the farm. A medium sized white bunny seemed to burrow out from under the ground into the farm with his grubby paws already attempting to grab some of the fruits that were to be harvested. ”Yeah, fucking right.” He cursed, tome in hand as he casted his spell HEED THE JUNGLE’S CALL. From the surrounding earth, large vines began to sprout before latching onto the bunnies feet and constructing against the monster causing damage and forcing him immobile until he was able to use his strength to break out of the vines. that was you. Catharsis looked up at the rabbit when it popped out of the ground, sighing as he stared at it. "It would be easy, they said." He remarked blandly, but before he could blink it looked like his party member had things wrapped up pretty well. Literally. Cat frowned, knowing full well rabbits weren't supposed to get that big as far as he could tell. Why did video games have to be so extra? He reached out to grab the captured bunny by the ears, pixels beginning to rapidly drain from the creature into the Empath as he drained health he didn't actually need. Might as well take advantage of something that couldn't jerk out of his grasp while he could, no? With nothing to interrupt the Cathartic Grasp, the rabbit burst into pixels in only a matter of time. Which might have meant some kind of victory to Cat, if it weren't for more cartoonish holes pushing up the earth. Of course there would be more. Why would his day ever be easy? He sighed, taking a step back towards the berries they were supposed to harvest. "So do we have to kill the rabbits or just be faster? I can't tell ..." He asked aloud, already flipping up the quest log onto the screen to see for any hints. It didn't seem like it mattered, so it would just be a matter of which would be easiest. His money was on bunny murder. saleos 5/10 MADE BY ★MEULK

If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go Saleos eyes eagerly began searching the farm for anything out of the ordinary. He wasn’t expecting much but these rabbits were enough of a peculiar distraction to have him expect anything from this game. It never was going to just be a straight-forward quest, was it? His eyes met with Caius, the jungle bird sending him a signal if he could help start picking some of the roots as they took care of the bunnies. It seemed like their relationship was starting to build as the bird dove down into the farm, landing effortlessly against his feet picking at the weeds with his bill. ”I can’t tell either. Don’t think the progress bar is filling up.” He shrugged, taking the time to pluck a couple of weeds in his area to keep their momentum for the quest before spotting another bunny showing up. However, this wasn’t before he watched the other’s spell seeing how it seemed somewhat vampiric? Saleos wouldn’t ask because if it worked, it worked. As a fellow bunny appeared out of a different hole, about ten feet north of the other hole, Saleos grabbed onto one of the vines from his previous spell and tried to lasso the bunny in but the little asshole as incredibly fast. ”Guess they might be getting a little tougher.” He mentioned, vine still in hand protecting the fruit, trying to consider what a better plan for this would be. that was you. For a split second, Catharsis was disappointed when yet another rabbit appeared. The next thought on his mind, however, was that maybe there'd be loot for killing them. He sighed in disappointment when the thing escaped the Jungle Fury's trap; so much for a symbiotic relationship, he supposed. It wasn't as though he'd ever expected anything good to last forever, though. With Saleos basically protecting the berries, the utility picked up his staff and approached the thing, clubbing it over the head without a moment's hesitation. The overgrown thing squeaked, but it didn't last too much longer than that. The Empath sighed, furrowing his brow as he as he pulled up the progress bar to glance at it even as he asked, "How about now?" He really couldn't figure out what they were supposed to do if not just kill the rabbits. "Is there someone we're supposed to turn the berries into?" He asked absentmindedly, pretty sure that wouldn't be the case. No way would it be that tedious. saleos 6/10 MADE BY ★MEULK
