[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]Alright so there wasn't really anything that Rex was exactly scared of, or so that's what he told himself. But being deep as fuck in the middle of the ocean wasn't something he found comfortable. This bullshit quest had him diving off a boat into the murky depths to probably get munched on by sharks and bitchy mermaids to find...treasure.
Why the hell was it always treasure?! Why couldn't he just...kill something and be done with it! He sighed, peering over the large ship's railing and towards the endless blue beneath them. The vessel he was on was one of the main hubs out here in the Great Sea, considering the nearest land mass were questionable hostile islands.
He took a few breaths to steady himself before moving to stand at one of the empty diving stations, wiggling the rebreather around his neck to his face. He wasn't sure if they actually needed something like that in this game or not...but his class provided one so he was going to wear it and not risk drowning.
Now all he had to do was jump, right? The commando took a few steps forward and hunched though when he tried to propel himself forward he stopped, catching the railing at his side with a growl behind his mask. Rex....was actually hesitating? Really? Him?

If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go Gargantua was a beautiful place, truly, but after being stuck there in the throes of a crippling anxiety that caused him to be stuck in the world, he had no desire other than to figure out how he could possibly get out and back to a life that he actually had going for him. Saleos, or now what he would be called for the rest of his stay in this video game, was a way to pass the time. He had a great job in Marketing, the promising relationship that simply ceased to exist in this world that he now inhabited. It seemed best to start collecting, doing the stupid quests to try and find his way some balance in this new world order. The man looked up at Caius, the Great Hornbill who soared high keeping an eye out. Saleos felt incredibly grateful to have someone, something to talk to even if it wasn’t very deep conversation. Eyes skimming through the job lists, he figured anything ocean related would be ideal. Only because of how much he loved diving in the real world, it couldn’t be much more difficult in a damn video game, right? He finds himself in the Great Sea looking at another user who seemed to be hesitating on just diving in. Saleos fixed his own quest item to his mouth, to allow him to breathe before kicking the other dude inside the water with a great nudge. ”You’ll thank me later!” the words inaudible through the sides of the rebreather as he jumped inside as well, eyes wide expecting something as soon as he got inside the water. Saleos looked up for Caius, giving an understanding nod to the bird to alert him if there was any trouble. QUEST: GREAT SEA DIVING

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]Thump...thump...thump.....
Rex could feel each beat of his heat. Maybe that was a side effect of being locked within data and brains. He tried a few more deep breaths, shutting his eyes and stiffing up a little to do whatever he could to get rid of this unpleasant anxiety. Sadly even a stoic asshole like Carlo couldn't escape at least one sob story out in the real world...
Grandpa had tossed him in a pool at a young age, figuring that was the best way to teach youngsters to swim. Sadly his plan failed miserably when his only grandson nearly drowned to death. Good thing grandma knew CPR, though the damage had already been done far after his vitals were stable.
The commando was a pretty perceptive guy, but even he was done over by Sale's quick attack that left him floating off the diving board and falling towards the rolling waves below. He'd manage to pivot some in midair, giving the guy a sort of immeasurable panicked expression. If it had been any other situation Rex would of cussed him out, and given him death threats.
But there was nothing, he'd been robbed of all his breath, and all his senses knowing what was coming next. The heavily geared man splashed against the water and immediately began to sink beneath it, he was limp for a few seconds before he started to claw towards the surface, ragged breathing through his mask. It was amazing how much pressure you could feel while feeling so...weightless all the same.
This game was far to real for Rex, and his unconditional fear of drowning was running wild as he squeaked out breaths. Usually very sharp and angry sapphires were wide with terror, and he'd look more than a little lost as he fell deeper into the sea. Who...the...Fuck...did this?!

If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go Mesquite eyes simply watched as the other began to sink, wondering if this was simply a dramatic show as he treaded water with ease. Saleos observed for a moment, deciding that this idiot surely did not know how to swim at all. Why in the world would he be there near the water if he couldn’t swim? Should’ve just ignored these particular quests. ”Don’t worry, I got you.” Luckily he had been practicing one of his basic spells, casting the spell to heed the jungle’s call, vines began to grow from the tome that rested above the water grabbing onto the man’s hands attempting to pull him up from the depths that Saleos only had love for. There was a solace of the sea, the thunderous roar of the waves crashing against the shore. He remembered it as he did his youth, sleeping against the sand while his brothers shoreline fish and his sister's collect sea shells. It only brought him peace and a longing for the real sea as the virtual one just felt slightly off. ”Didn’t realize you were…… a first time swimmer.” He stifled a laugh wanting to indulge much further in the other’s logic but deciding he wasn’t in the mood for a fight. ”Figured you’d need a little help with the quest, right? Trying to get something shiny to turn in?” Caius from above let out a quick chirp circling around the sunken ship that he had found from in the sky. Nothing near by to stop from diving in and searching for loot, or so nothing from the bird's particular vantage point. [googlefont=Oswald]

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"] So...yeah Rex was having a hard time getting his shit together. But before he'd even have a chance to sort it out for himself he'd be dragged upwards by strange vines, and cling to the growth with deep breaths, looking like a dog who was trying to escape the bath.
Sharp sapphires narrowed at the idiot who'd caused him all this hell, “The fuck were you thinking?! I can swim fine! I was just...prepping myself!” He lied in a snarl, hissing at the man soon after in anger. Sadly his offer of help was hard to pass, considering this was probably going to be impossible to complete on his own.
But that didn't mean the stubborn soldier would enjoy the facts presented his way. He already seriously hated this guy, “W-whatever! I don't need any fuck'n help! But...maybe we can get it done quicker...Te'h...” He rambled between deep breaths, still making sure to keep clinging to the vines.
Eventually when his heart settled he'd let go, and be calm enough to swim on his own. There was clearly still a massive amount of tension to the guy's movements, this wasn't his element at all. He'd glance down at the boat below them, looking back to the guy who'd 'teamed' up with him, “Did you already spot anything?” He asked through his breather...At least the game wasn't real enough they couldn't understand each other down here...

If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go The other’s movements were sprawling at best, it was such a peculiar sight to see this avatar struggling to do something he felt so entirely in his own element. Saleos wouldn’t laugh as much as he wanted, letting the chuckle sit awkwardly against his throat swallowing it the best way he could. ”I mean, bro…… I was helpin ya bitch ass out. Didn’t realize you didn’t know how to swim. Why even take this quest?” Scoffing at the thought, thinking that this dude was lucky that Saleos came to help when he did. ”You’re welcome by the way for carrying your ass through this quest.” Almond hues searching the sky for Caius, the bird about a minute’s swim away. ”Yeah, it’s a little bit further and then down. You ready to get in there or do ya need a moment?” He asked, not waiting for an answer before diving down leaving his tome above the surface. It meant he didn’t too many options in terms of combat but he had his basic spell if need be. The rainbow of hues under the ocean seemed so incredible that Saleos almost wished he would’ve been a water-oriented class instead of a jungle fury. It took about three minutes but he finally reached the abandoned ship, ducking through the window making sure that there weren’t any minions that he aggro’d while he swam. ”You keeping up?” He asked, throwing an invitation over to KingRex, the name that showed up when he targeted Rex. ”Keep your eyes peeled for something shiny, might be a boss who spawns or something when we pass a certain point.”[googlefont=Oswald]

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]Rex was seriously about to lose his fucking shit over this punk ass jungle boy! He was running his mouth enough to get the guy nearly boiling in the water, he decided to just bite his tongue however and dive after the guy, “Fuck off! I hope yeah get caught by a shark, and I told you I was FINE!” He snapped back, which was rather innocent compared to the real hell he wanted to dish out after being disrespected like that...
The soldier kept up well enough behind the man, and when they finally reached the wreck he'd be eager to put his feet on the ship and walk it as if he was back on land. Luckily the game was letting him 'stick' to the surface in such a manner he could stay grounded given he was gentle enough in his steps. He'd pull his rifle from his back, figuring that unlike the real world this puppy was going to work just fine down here.
“Yeah..yeah...” The Commando muttered out as he accepted the party invite and slipped himself through one of the many cracks in the ship, getting inside. Considering it was darker than dick in there, he'd flick on his chest light to help him explore. Eventually he'd be face to face with a heavy wooden door, still locked tight even after a crash like this.
He'd attempt to open the thing, shoving and bashing on the thing until he finally hissed under a bubbly breath and turned around in a float, seeing if that idiot jungle-shit was around, “Hey...I got a locked door over here! You see a fuck'n key anywhere?” He called out...

If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go There was an incredibly settling feeling of having the attitudes of each player still shine through. Despite the insults being flung his way by Rex, he had to appreciate that this is exactly how it happened in almost every other game. Why would Broken Wars Online be any different. ”Go choke on a dick.” He spat out at the other’s incompetence, he still didn’t understand how in a video game the other was flailing to swim. It happened pretty quickly as they swam inside the wreckage, Saleos allowing the other to enter first through the crack luckily he had a light to see. ”You sure it’s not over there?” He asked, unable to see a damn thing in the darkness of the ship but knowing how dev’s loved to hide shit on the bottom of the sea floor. The Jungle Fury kicked off the boat and swam deeper into the sea, only twenty or so feet down until the ocean-soaked wood laid in pieces against the sandy bottom. Jason checked beneath each piece, swimming through until he finally saw the brass key blending into the wooden piece in typical video game fashion. It took him a few tries but Saleos was able to pull out the key, with two hands and swam back up to the hole where Rex was still in. ”Here dipshit.” he spat out harshly, opening up his inventory to trade the key to the gun enthusiast to open the door. ”Get ready for whatever it is on the other side.” He gave an unnecessary warning, mumbling an incantation as a green ball of nature energy grew inside of his palms waiting to be cast in case things down in the ship got dicey. [attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]One of the soldier's eyes twitched in frustration when Sale traded him the key, he'd snatch the thing with a bubbling growl, “'Bout time you worthless shit!” He snapped back before turning to face the door and shoving the key into the rusted keyhole to unlock it. A gurgled click let them know they could get inside, and Rex pulled his shotgun to face forward and took a breath before shoving the door open.
The forceful opening left a spray of bubbles blocking their vision of whatever might be hiding inside, but the Soldier rushed in anyways, propping himself in the weightlessness environment to a corner of the ceiling, weapon aimed downwards at whatever could be hiding...
When it was all said and done, there would be...nothing. Just an empty captain's quarters with a single large golden chest in it's center. Rex hissed under a breath and pushed from his perched to approach the chest, eyes trailing towards his 'partner', “This is it? Really? Fuck this quest...” He fussed before leaning down to open the chest with one hand...
The chest instantly sprung to life, sharp teeth exploded from it's opened edges, and a long nearly comical tongue flopped out as it snapped to bite the commando's hand off. Luckily Rex was quick enough to dodge back with a snarl. It seemed the BWO creators were dark soul fans...and that was a horrible thing.
What made things worse is that the rest of it's body exploded from the rooms below; Long and thin limbs reached out to swat and grab at the players, sharp nails would spell an easy end to whatever they came into contact with as well...

If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go Jason never expected an easy quest, especially in this game but he was getting his hopes up that this would be a simple search and rescue precious jewelry for a reward. As Rex moved into the room, Saleos followed in pursuit using the green energy radiating against his hand to shine a light into the dark space. It wasn’t until he heard a quick snapping noise coming from inside of the room that he worried and ultimately knew that shit, it was time for a fight. ”Fuck, dude.” He cussed out as the floor dismantled a large enough creature that he saw was just a couple of levels higher than where he was at but then noticed that his partner was level four, which did give him some solace that at least the other’s attacks would hit hard. He threw his earth energy bolt that he had prepared early to the chest, aiming at it’s body with a single blast, trying his best to maneuver through the long limbs that at least helped dictate where it was gonna go. ”Move.” He roared out, pulling the other further away to not get hit, preferring to be the person dodging with his confidence in the water and letting Rex with his rifle, have time to unload his heavy hitting attacks onto the monster. The monster swung once more, breaking the walls of the abandoned ship giving them the whole sea as their battlefield. The remnants of ship remaining sunk onto the floor as Saleos let himself use the bottom of the sea to kick off of and dodge the sprawling limbs attempting to scratch him. Saleos charged up a second bolt, letting it tingle against his fingers before flinging the emerald orb at one of the limbs expecting to find a weak spot at some point. [googlefont=Oswald]

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]Rex had wiggled and swatted in the water to avoid being mauled to death, though his backside did get some nasty gashes during the motion. Luckily Sale grabbed him and moved him well enough to steady his aim, he'd hiss out some bubbles and fire off several good shots at the thing's 'head', chipping away wooden pieces of the chest's maw.
“Quit fuck'n touching me!” Rex snarled out as he reached to reload. It wasn't soon after that, that the rest of the ship was torn to pieces and left them using the entire sea's bottom as their battleground. The tall and slender stick of a fiend took to the extra space with ease, though Sale's persistent attacks left it guarding it's face with an arm and hand, a gurgling bubbled roar let them know it wasn't feeling to great....
When there was a break, it would lurch forward and open it's mouth wide, comically long tongue stretching out and attempting to wrap around Sale's waist and pull him in to munch on. Rex used this time to swim best he could towards the bastard, pulling a grenade from his belt and removing it's safety pin. Sadly he couldn't toss it being under water, but he'd damn well make it work anyways!

If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go The roar of the battle field filled Saleos with a burning passion, it was the one reason why he loved action video games during his earlier teenage years. He started off as a tank, still surprised he seemed to have shifted into a new role as a ranged caster. There was a solace in slinging spells, murmuring incantations and finding the strength without having to use brute force at every avenue. Saleos looked up for a moment through a glassy lens, seeing Caius circling over the battle but not wanting to dive in. It seemed as if they had pretty strong mechanics in this game for air battles versus underwater. His gaze swiftly returned back to the wooden chest, large in size and awkward in movements. It was then that Saleos began with a spell, letting the words falling against his lips create a large nature bolt building in his right hand. With only a single hand, the monster’s tongue wrapped tight around the man’s waist pulling him in with a single pull, luckily the water created a slow-moving tongue giving the Jungle Fury a moment to unleash the spell right into the monster’s mouth. ”Shit.” No luck as Jason was then swooped up into the monster, his hand finding the other’s teeth and holding on tightly as his health pool began to diminish quite rapidly. Saleos wasn’t sure why but he assumed there must’ve been some sort of acid or poison in the fiend’s mouth. The player began kicking against the other’s teeth, bringing both hands to grasp firmly switching his sight from his health bar to the dental barrier that held him captive. [googlefont=Oswald]

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"]By the time Rex got to the sharp maw of teeth Sale was already there fighting to keep himself from being devoured. The chest's arms both came up in attempt to grab either of the players and help force them inside it's endlessly hungering mouth, however the commando had already aimed his shotgun and blasted both of it's limbs away in a bubbling underwater pop of buckshot.
That granted him a few seconds to violently swim and latch onto Sale, now stable he'd let go of the man and flail out his machete from his back to cut through the monster's tongue and free him. The living treasure holder twitched in agony before taking a quick chomp forward towards the Commando.
The soldier had to act quick to avoid letting this turn into a total disaster. One hand shoved to get Sale away, given the guy wasn't already swimming backwards while the other reached for a grenade at his belt, pulling it's safety pin and shoving it forward towards the jagged line of teeth that were snapping down.
The Chest fiend ate Rex's hand clean off in a splatter of data....And his grenade. With a muffled growl of pain Rex kicked his legs madly to swim back enough to avoid the blast. The grenade exploded and took with it the entire top half of the chest monster's mouth in a fizzling heat, but it wasn't dead yet!
“Finish it off, for fuck sake!” The Soldier demanded as he floated idly in circles, clenching his missing hand. It was an awkward sensation knowing it was there...but not there? Fuck this game, seriously!

If my velocity starts to make you sweat then just don't let go If this is what the battles were going to be like during every quest, Jason would need a hard pass or to get a couple of better skills to help deal with these sort of fights. His hands slipping off the enamel of the minion as he pulled up and pulled through, listening to the sounds of a rifle being blasted through the water. Seemed like despite Rex being a terrible swimmer, he had some amazing attacks and Saleos was thankful the guy was here and a part of his team. His legs still kicking against the tooth trying to chip enough space to squeeze through until Mr. Machismo himself with his machete to slice his way through pulling Saleos out with a single pull until he saw the other’s hand disappear in the other’s mouth. It all happened so quickly and perhaps that’s how battling was as a rifle man but damn, it wasn’t something that Saleos could handle often. Saleos used both hands to build the energy bolt, expanding it from his chest until it was the size of a football and giving the bolt a quick throw with his entire might to slam it into the chest. The minion finally floated to the bottom of the ocean floor with two shiny trinkets resting on the very top of it’s head. Saleos deciding to swim to get it for the other, picking the two of them up before looking over at the man. ”Is your hand alright?” He asked, wondering if the other had some sort of healing power or if he was now without a hand….. If so, this world was too real for Jason’s comfort. [googlefont=Oswald]

[attr="class","scare"]EAT SHIT AND DIE! [attr="class","scare1"] [attr="class","scare2"] [attr="class","scare3"] [attr="class","scarewords"] Rex seriously thought his heart was going to beat out of his chest. He wondered just how stressed his body must have been on the outside world with how he was feeling right now. His blood was boiling, and his breathing was heavy. Your brain fired off all sorts of nasty signals when you lost a limb, and it wasn't easy to fight off that kinda shock.
Now that they were out of combat however, The man's missing hand would start to regenerate in a fuzzy build of data, Rex watched it for a moment as it went from being a poorly animated vessel to his trembling palm and digits. He'd flick his gaze over to the punk then, “Yeah...That was fucking nuts...” He muttered behind his breather before nudging his head upwards and kicking up in a swim, “Come on, let's go.”
When they'd finally get back on the ship, Rex would collapse to sit on the edge of the boat, yanking off his rebreather and taking long breaths of fresh surface air. He looked damn well fucking exhausted, “...It dropped something, right? Fork it over...” The man demanded with an outstretched hand waving towards himself.
Given Sale handed over the second trinket, Rex would complete the quest along with him, and they'd both be done with this crap-ass diving mission...He'd damn well never repeat it either, so long as he stayed in this bullshit game! The commando flopped his wet and messy blonde hair against the smooth surface behind it, and narrowed his eyes in annoyance towards Sale, “...Guess that's it, thanks.”
Rex didn't sound to grateful to the jungle-bro's involvement during this mission, but maybe that was more so due to his general irritation being so close to water, versus...well just thinking the guy was a fucking dick. As much as he hated to admit it, the dude really held his own, and pulled them through this one...
