All Faust wanted was a goat. That wasn't so wrong, was it?[break][break]
She'd just been drifting at her own pace, seeing the sights, when she saw them. Goats. Cows had bored her, sheep just kealed over when she came near, but these things were beautiful. The horns, the eyes, the way they could climb trees and adorn the branches. She'd always wanted to pet one. Now was her chance. The asmodeus wasted no time at all in drifting towards one of the goats, and immediately decided she wanted to keep it. What could be better than a goat as a pet, after all? Nothing.[break][break]
Unfortunately, even in the game she wasn't strong enough to pick up the adult. Even as she decided that the kids were cuter anyway, an npc ran up to her and started screaming at her, clearly stressed out. No, no. She didn't want to do a quest. Thankfully, it was easy enough to scare him off and send him running, which would buy her some time. That was good, because when Faust laid eyes on the baby goats she realized she liked so many of them. It was going to be tough to make a decision.[break][break]
The answer to her dilemma was pretty obvious. She scooped up three of the best baby goats into her arms and carried them away so she could deliberate. Ignoring their frantic bleating, she set them down close to her when she set down - but close enough that she could drag them back to her side if they tried to wander off without her.Resting her faace in her hands, she looked from each of the differently colored goats. "Oh, it's so hard. You're all so cute." Maybe if she'd had a party member they'd be able to help her choose which one would be her pet for the rest of the game.

Sure, the game was pretty good at how often monsters respawned and did so in a timely, consistent manner. That still didn't offset the chances of her having to fight tooth and nail for her right to train with all the other assholes. In the end, it just wasn't worth it when she could simply walk her petite ass all the way to the Valley of the Fallen to grind in peace. As far as she knew, the place was practically deserted most of the time. Beep. Beep.Meilin's eyebrows raised at the sudden noise, her hand swiping over to check her notifications in the case that it was important news. To her dismay, it was a simple quest alert informing her of an new available quest located at the Roseberry Farms. Pass. Meilin dismissed the message in favor of continuing onwards. Quests were a pain in the ass and in a way, made her feel like a subservient errand runner. Chase off a goat thief? Hah. The duelist chuckled at the thought of her doing a favor for an NPC and for what? A few coins she could easily farm up from monsters? Now, where was the justice in that? Meilin slowed in her pace almost stopping entirely when the quest window popped up again. The woman scoffed at the audacity. She had already dismissed it once before and now it was back? The nerve. Meilin rolled her eyes, swiping the window away only, her hand had gone right through it. In the process, the quest was marked accepted. Fucking really?That, she could ignore and maybe, if she was in a good mood she could reconsider it. At least, that was what she thought until her line of vision became bombarded with red windows of varying sizes. All of them were maps, trackers, and coordinates that she honestly, couldn't make sense of with so many of them in her goddamn way. In a frenzy, Meilin fought the windows all the while moving forward persistently. It felt like a good ten minutes of furious flailing to clear all of the pesky windows out of her face. In the end, she did succeed coming out of it with a smug smile and oddly, came face-to-face with a goat? 398 words for faustjokes on her the maps did lead her there B^) TALK SHIT WITH THE PRETTIEST LIPS; BAD GIRLS DO IT WELL PHARAOH LEAP.

She had narrowed it down to two, sending the brown baby goat off back to where she'd taken it from. Now it was just the decision between the black one, and the white spotted one. Just as she'd been sitting with her chin in her hands, looking from one to the other, she looked up to see another player wandering towards her. How did she know it wasn't an npc without double checking? Well first off, she was too pretty. Secondly, she was spazzing out with her map system.

Either way, she was perfect! Just what the woman needed at a time like this.

Scooping the remaining goats up into her arms, the woman floated up to drift towards the other player, drifting back in time with her step as she adjusted to hold one of the goats against herself and hold out the black one right in front of the woman's face. From there she waited, oh so patiently, until the stranger had figured out whatever her little problem was before she asked. "Do you think I should pick this one? He's pretty cute, right?"

Of course, it had to be at that moment that the npc ran up to her, again, screaming something she couldn't (or didn't want to) understand. With a sigh, she pulled the goat from the woman's face to try to rest it against the other one and get a solid grip, yelling back at a matched pitch while the npc pointed at her. "Nooo, I already told you, I don't have time to take your quest." She stretched out her words, just so that the AI would have a better chance at understanding her this time around. When that didn't work, she rolled her eyes before lazily extending a clawed hand and swiping at the air just in front of the npc, waiting for it to wander away screaming in distress again.

Not only did she come face to face with a baby goat, she was led straight to the culprit -- a player. The duelist wanted to scream out her frustrations as little by little, her patience was being tested. What the fuck was she going to do with a thieving player? Of course, things couldn't be simple. Oh no, she couldn't have things go her way. Meilin's eyes narrowed at the young goats held up in the woman's arms though, honestly, she was more interested in the woman's assets. There was no helping, they were impressive and strangely mesmerizing to look at. Her attention shifted, however to the quest distributor, an NPC that looked clearly distressed. It was a sobbing mess and with one motion from the demon, it fled. She was left with no direction and with conflicting emotions. The power in the woman's action struck a chord with her, but she wanted to hurry the fuck out of there. Meilin sighed, raising a hand up at the stranger, coaxing her to give up the hostages. " I'm in a hurry and that NPC won't leave me alone until you give them back" she said flatly, " so come on now, hand them over." 220 words for faust U MONSTER. For a moment, Faust frowned; the girl didn't seem to be happy with her, and she couldn't figure out why. Had she done something wrong? She couldn't see why. It wasn't like the NPC actually needed the goat for anything or was losing out on money they needed to keep living where they did. She honestly didn't see the harm in taking just one little goat she wanted. And so, when the stranger demanded she hand over the goats without even so much as introducing herself, Faust pouted.

"I don't think I will." She said, her frown quickly turning upside down when one of the goats bleated, and then the other. "I mean, I don't see why I shouldn't be able to have one as a pet, you know?" There, that would settle it. Surely this stranger would see her way of things, as she shifted to hold one goat in each arm, looking from one to the other in firm thought. After all, she had a very important decision to make.

The black one looked at her with such cute eyes, but the spotted one was a bit chubby. Both of them were just so cute, it felt like she was saying no to a loving home to whoever she didn't choose! A true tragedy.

For a moment, Faust's eyes widened and lit up when the woman blurted out the question-compliment duo. She laughed softly, eyes closing halfway. "So are you!" It was a thought, of course. There probably were people willing to buy her whatever she wanted, but that sort of thing wasn't free, and ... She frowned when the stranger kept on talking. "Men are repulsive, though." She hummed for a moment, swinging her legs in thought, before crossing them and shaking her head again. "No, that just wouldn't do."[break][break]
When she was asked what it was about goats she preferred over other pets that were available, she settled one of the kids onto her lap before she tapped her finger to her lips for a moment while she thought. "My dad had hunting dogs. I guess they'd be useful, and I wouldn't mind having one, but ..." She shrugged, before scratching behind the ears of the goat that was struggling to find its footing on her lap. "Goats are just so much cuter, don't you think?"

It came as a plesant surprise to her hearing that their feelings were mutual. As nice as the demon was, Meilin couldn't bring herself to get any closer. She could be a predator for all she knew and from what she was witnessing, the woman had no qualms about kidnapping. Then again... being on a name-to-name basis didn't seem to be too harmful. " I couldn't agree more," Meilin murmured. Her hands reached out to mindlessly play with the hooves of the goats. They really had their own charm that could not be compared to dogs. The duelist smiled at the babies almost tempted to help the thief choose her prize. " You still can't keep them," Meilin stated bluntly with an amused smile, catching herself caving into the woman's desires. Of course, even if the stranger grabbed one of the goats to try to stop her, she would have just been helping Faust with her decision. She pouted, but thoughtfully scratched under the chin of the goat she still held in her arm while she thought. It seemed like the woman wanted to reason with her rather than try to grab for them, which gave Faust something to bargain with. She hummed for a while, before she finally looked at the woman out of the corner of her eye and grinned. "Well ... I guess I could part with them - if you give me your name and contact information." She laughed softly, fingers touching her lips. Oh, she was so proud of herself. Either way, it seemed pretty win-win for her now.

She paused for a moment, petting the soft nose of the goat while she thought. "Though, since you brought it up, I'd love if you'd buy me a goat some day." She smiled pleasantly down at the woman. Just to prove was keeping her word, she patted the goat on her lap, shooing it off. The baby goat leapt off and ran back towards home while the woman smoothed out her dress.[break][break]
"Of course, if you can't afford it, that's okay. I can always come back!" She smiled down at the woman. "You only need me to leave right now, right? You'll still get your reward." It just felt so strange using her username as her own when she already had a name that had been in use for the past twenty years. She sighed heavily, giving in to the feeling of defeat. Whatever this woman named Faust wanted to call her, she'd respond to it, it wasn't a big deal. Her eyes followed the released hostage as it pranced itself back to it's owner. The NPC meekly appeared, scooping up the child in his arms. He retreated with it only waving back to Meilin before disappearing. She gave a small wave back before shifting her attention back to Faust with a weak smile. " I am not buying you a goat, that wasn't the deal. Now, put that one down too." Meilin frowned, arms crossing. " What would I even get out of it?" She paused for a moment to add on, " also, what would it take for you to give back that last goat? you can't keep it!" Faust giggled a little as the stranger finally introduced herself twofold. "Meilin is so pretty. Would it be bad if I called you that instead?" She asked, eyes hopeful. She wouldn't mind if she was told no, but she really liked that name better. She'd probably use it anyway. She shifted to tickle the chubby goat in her arms, laughing as it bleated even as Meilin complained about her addition to their deal.[break][break]
Thoughtfully, she sat up to play with her hair, twirling a strand out in front of her face and casually letting it drop down in front of her as she met eyes with the other woman. "What would you like in return?" She asked, really hoping she could make this deal happen. If she could come out ahead with a new friend and a goat, she'd be a real winner. The woman blinked, breaking the intensity of her stare with an, "Oh, before I forget ..." Her voice trailed off as she brought up her menu, sending Qilin a friend request without a second thought. After all, that was part of the initial deal too.

Hooray! Her friend request had still been accepted. She was so happy to see that, more than a little pleased with herself. That all fell right through the floor when Meilin didn't answer her immediately about what she could want, even ... not giving her a real answer at all. For a moment, Faust froze, sure she hadn't heard the woman right. "You ... don't know?" After all, her entire life she'd known she was pretty, more than pretty. She knew for a fact that the woman thought so herself.[break][break]
