Thunderous cracks of raw kinetic power reverberated throughout the Badlands like cannon fire, occurring at a rhythmic frequency that seemed to suggest that whatever was causing the blasts to happen was doing it to a beat.[break][break]
Deep inside the bowels of a cavernous canyon further south, in a natural chamber cloistered away from the harsh rays of the desert sun, a kind of 'training exercise' was taking place.[break][break]
If one were to be more accurate, it was closer to a 'vigorous workout'.[break][break]
At the center of the spacious arena stood a young blonde beauty, dressed in her usual combat fatigues and her motorized bullet gloves extended to their active states, who whistled a playful tune as purple eyes glanced in every direction with honed anticipation.[break][break]
Surrounding the woman from all sides were a gang of kobolds wearing crudely stitched armor and brandishing equally primitive weapons.[break][break]
Topaz cracked her neck, anxious for the next wave of reinforcements to start swarming in.

The desert sucked.
If Rache wasnt being dragged into random poker competitions or being bothered by the dryness of her throat, she was staring at the sun with a frown. Why did this aspect of the game have to be so realistic? When she finally came across the hard stone of the Bad Lands, Rache gulped. Would this be better or worse? As she wandered further into the rocky terrain, her eyes lit up.
Canyons!
That meant shade!
Rache let out a happy cackle before moving to jog towards the canyons. It took her a bit of time, but eventually, she found a rocky pathway down into the trenches below. Surely it must be more cool down there, right? As she stepped down the path, the sounds of combat began to reach her ears. Was someone fighting? The girl reached to pull her bow off of her back as she crept down towards the more cool canyons below.
Eventually, she found herself crouched behind a rock watching a blond woman fight several kobolds. Rache gulped. That was the woman from the village attack quest. Knowing her, she'd be fine... The blond woman seemed to thrive on combat. There probably wasnt any reason for Rache to get involved. However, before she could make herself comfortable to watch, one of the kobolds seemed to notice her. The girl let out a soft yelp as it leaped at her. She raised her bow to shoot off an arrow into it's head at point blank, killing it. Her eyes shifted up to Topaz and the kobolds surrounding the blond.
Well, they knew she was here now. Rache gave an awkward wave.
”Er! Hello!”

| [attr="class","cdwrap2"] [attr="class","cdpost"] Before Topaz could start her first attack run, a jarring shriek erupted from nearby, dragging the attentions of her and a few kobolds toward its source; one of the lizard creatures had been sniped from the opposite side of the arena.[break][break] When the Bullet Fighter caught a glimpse of the new presence, she beamed widely. "Hey there!" She flung both of her arms toward the ground and spent another two casings to launch high above the kobolds, spinning as she crossed her arms and dumped the remaining cartridges in her gloves out, allowing them to rain down harmlessly over the mob.[break][break] Upon landing, she began cartwheeling away from the crowd of reptilians, then performed one final acrobatic flip as the crimson shells detonated all at once, sending the group of baddies into a state of disorder as they were thrown about by the combined force of the blasts.[break][break] Topaz pumped a fist, grinning at her successful execution. "Nailed it." She then turned to Rache without skipping a beat. "What brings you all the way out here?" she asked, glancing back at the kobolds, most of whom were struggling to regroup their efforts against the bombastic beauty.
