The class primarily revolves around attacking things with some form of bladed weapon and collecting mutation charges through one of their skills. Being a Utility type class the Geneticist can use their mutation charges for a variety of things such as healing and buffing themselves and other players, and at higher levels mutating their body with some skills to gain some form of new attack or ability at the cost of mutation charges. |

"Don't worry, It's just for science." Upon hitting an enemy with a basic attack with a bladed weapon the Geneticist gains one stack of Mutation Charge that may be used in a skill later on. At her base level the Geneticist can store 5 stacks of the charge, gaining the additional capacity to store another 2 charges on every level up for a grand total of 13. Aside from being used in skills each charge activates a passive health regeneration for the Geneticist, giving them an additional 2% of their health back per stack minute.

"Oh crap, Hang on I'll be right there!" At the cost of some mutation charges the Geneticist can shape those charges into the form of a bottle. The bottle can either be thrown at an ally in the form of a splash potion or ingested by the Geneticist herself or an ally. Once the bottled charges are used the user, whether its the Geneticist of their ally, have their health restored for a certain percentage based on how many mutation charges are used. Math-wise the bottle can heal for a maximum of 25% of someones health, gaining an extra 5% per charge used but capping out at five charges.

At the cost of two mutation charges the Geneticist is able to alter their own genes in a way that causes them to sprout a strange looking pair of red wings with black lines running through them. Like most wings they grant the Geneticist the ability to fly around. Additionally the wings can be used to fire off some red colored shrapnel at an enemy, or the wings can wrap around the Geneticist to protect them from one attack. The downside of those extra abilities that the wings grant is that the Geneticist can only use one or the other, and at the cost of the wings themselves being dispelled.

"Wait a second, this will keep you safe!" At the cost of three of her mutation charges the geneticist is able to grant a defensive buff to herself or an ally in the nearby area. By manipulating their genes the recipient of the buff is given a general boost in their defenses which of course causes them to take less damage from all forms of attacks for a few minutes. Aside from the defense boost the recipient of the buff is able to end the buff early by reflecting the damage from one attack that they take and sending it back at the attacker.[break]As an additional cosmetic effect the buffed persons skin seems to harden a bit while shining with a rainbow of colors, similar to the Rainbow Mystic Quartz gemstone. Though this cosmetic effect can be willingly dispelled by the buff recipient.

The arm itself covers up either the arm that the player doesn't currently hold a weapon in, or a random arm if the player uses a two handed weapon. Stat wise either arm gives the recipient a general boost in their attack, the boost itself not changing at all depending on either arm. However the part that changes is the special ability that it grants.[break][break] At the cost of the buff itself the wielder of the black arm is capable of firing off a purple fireball that detonates on a single target, damaging it with the flames as well as applying a burned debuff to the target that causes it to take damage after each action it takes. Once expanded the wielder can dash through a group of enemies and damage each one of them somewhat with the arm's wings.
