Using the Soul Gem embedded in the user's chest the user is able to create weapon constructs from nothingness, however, the strength of the weapon depends entirely on the soul gem equipped which, like most weapons, are crafted from monster drops. It's because the user is using weapon constructs the user can create as many weapons as he wants the drawback is they can only have 5 weapons on the field at any given time without use of a skill. As such it's common for an Ethereal Blade to simply toss weapons away in favor of creating new ones in the middle of combat. It's much like using a sword that breaks after a single use. The ethereal blade is also able to use their soul gem to cast a variety of offensive spells at their enemies and can control their constructs remotely. That being said, The ethereal blade is extremely fragile. Not only are their defenses naturally low, but their soul gem is tied to their physical being. If an Ethereal Blade is hit hard enough in the chest where the gem is lodged, the gem will break and the user will die. Most soul gems also have elemental resistances and weaknesses transferring those to the user of that gem. A soul gem can be removed only to exchange equipped soul gems. |

Being an assassination class the Ethereal Blade works best in shadows, so well, in fact, they're able to move through shadows for up to 10 seconds at a time entering through one shadow and exiting through another. If the shadow is removed by light or really any other measure while the assassin is in it, the assassin immediately resurfaces and loses a fourth of their health. While the assassin is hidden in the shadow they're invulnerable to damage.
