W O L F can you hear the wind? let us feast on the enemy WORDS 299 NOTES 1/12 Lets get the haul going! | There had always been a question about the undead.. Was it something realistic or only a spectator’s nightmare about reoccurring issues? Apparently Broken War had its own problems with such a question. An thus Kuma responded to it without hesitation, her goal was to figure it all out while gaining strength in the process. Already she had sent up a guild invite and all but two were too busy to entertain the idea.
Here she was waiting for her Guild Mates at the outskirts of the Bloodborne Manor. The sun remained high in the sky giving the rest time to arrive as she scouted the area out by herself. There was no lack in surprised when the grounds turned out to be exactly as she imagined. It was riddled with nightmares that often made kids sleep in their parent’s beds. There were many tracks that shifted from human to beast tracks. This was something that few people desired to encounter and fewer still lived to tell the tale.
Never the less Kuma crawled herself into the forest in order to get a better look around the side of the Manor. There was a silence as the marshy soil slowly sunk beneath her weight. Shifting in her spot the woman sauntered across the mossy ground. “Well this is going to be kinda messy.. Just how I like it..” Grinning the woman took a peek into the lower windows as if she were a bandit. “I wonder if this quest will offer some quirky moments.
Stroking her chin once more, Kuma quickly jumped back onto the trail swiftly. Dusting off her limbs the muck and mud hit the ground lightly. Stretching her limbs gently the woman walked back around to the front of the building. “Well I look forward to this..”

Zombies, it just had to be zombies and an unexplainable outbreak. Things were going to get messy, things were going to probably go downhill quickly, but that's what she was there to try to prevent. A pair of eyes in the air is what she offered after all, it was hard to sneak up on someone if they already had sight on you from above. She glanced up, the bird flying high over head before glancing back down, looking at the large manor in front of her. Calista crossed her arms, shifting the bow on her back a little as she looked over the scenery before her. If this was the real world there was no doubt someone wealthy would be living in a place like this. But this wasn't there and things weren't going to be so pretty inside, she knew that much. She stretched a bit, glancing up into the sky as her hawk glided lazily down towards her before it landed on a nearby branch, pruning his feathers as he awaited her next order. The walk here was silent, too silent for her liking. It was as if the nature surrounding the manor had vanished, fearing the outbreak as much as the NPCs were. This bothered her, nature never vanished in the way it had around the manor anywhere else. She heard a voice nearby, glancing over towards the person she recognized after a moment as Kuma. She offered the girl a smile, nodding back towards the manor. "There are no birds or other animals near the manor, which tells me something is definitely going on here. Hopefully the corridors aren't too narrow for me to get good shots off though..."Narrow hallways were going to be the worst part of this quest unless it was as wide and open as other MMOs kept. Ranged fighters needed the extra room to get good shots off and many had compensated for that fact, but she had yet to do much indoor fighting, save for her first quest against Ragnarok. That she didn't really count though, that was a giant underground cavern that was obviously meant to be an arena of some sort after all. ▲

Zee was hardly the enthusiastic type of player. Even with a good reward up for grabs, work was still work. Although whether the reward was to her liking was up to the little versions of her mind to debate on. With the way she carried herself towards the others was enough to send the message that she wasn't interested in what was about to unfold. The whole haunted grounds during a dark night would be more terrifying if it wasn't a bunch of data and code.
She yawns, quite loudly at that. "Let's get a move on then," She tries to muster up the little energy she had to sound like her cheerful self, as to not get on the wrong foot with the two. Her steps were slow and hardly with any coordination but the starchild was able to reach the manor's main door without tripping on her own feet. "That's one intimidating piece of work." Its a stereotypical rich folk type of door. The carvings on the agar wood were intricate and despite its current state, it looked alright.
Cutting down on the dilly-dallying, she opens both doors at full force—a grand entrance. "I'm hoooome!" Her greeting was loud and monotone. This was going to be a long couple of hours. Boo.

W O L F can you hear the wind? let us feast on the enemy WORDS 500 NOTES 2/12 Feel free to give them a name and control dialogue. Fun times ahead. | The first to arrive was Calista and her companion the bird within the tree tops. It was good to know they had range covered in case the mobs got too thick. A smile crossed Kuma’s lips as she nodded in agreement with the rangers comment. “The woods around the back are clear as well.. I checked around the building and there appears to be nothing going on through the windows as far as I could tell.” Slowly the party updated while her own personal attire kicked into action. A defensive boost with Zee being so close by, along with a health regen factor that coupled with her Honor badge. Things were starting to look great for them.
Clapping her hands together Kuma truly felt no better than Zee did about all of this. Yet when work was needed to be done then it would be done with the utmost haste no doubt. Walking up behind Zee, Kuma went around the female to the right. She wanted to check around the main living room while the other rooms remained open for investigation. “Remember.. Keep your hands to yourselves.. We don’t know what’s actually causing this outbreak so.. Caution please..” Frowning lightly she forced her own hands into her pockets.
“I hope these item is easy to find.. With most game logic the damned item is surrounded by the horde.. The owner is somehow the villain and we get swarmed with a fuck ton of problems..” A slight chuckle escaped her lush lips while she cursed the idea in the back of her mind. She hoped that this was not the case, thus she strolled over to a desk in the corner. There were various documents spread out over the oak surface, yet nothing interesting seemed to catch her eye.
Moving the papers around Kuma found a bloodied pocket watch on the desk top. Frowning lightly she turned back to give a shout. “Found a blooded pocket watch on the desk.. Perh—AHHH FUCK!” As she spoke Kuma had turned back to find a corpse sitting in the high backed chair to her left. Nearly jumping ten feet into the air Kuma drop kicked the chair away with the body in tow. “Sonouvabitch!” She hissed while rising back to her feet and dusting herself off. The corpse rolled free of the chair with a thud.
Taking a moment to gather herself her ears perked up slowly. There was a slow rattling crack as if joints were struggling to work. Her lone eye shifted left and right as she scanned the hall way and steps, then moving back she spied corpse. It shifted where it lay before a low groan left its mouth. At first its speech was incoherent and unintelligent. Yet as it rose up to its full height the walking corpse picked up the chair before staring at Kuma. “Well.. That was unexpected. Welcome to my Home.. Are you and your companions here to deal with my outbreak issue?”

The moment the body started moving Calista brought up the bow, pulling it to it's full draw as she looked at the figure, raising an eyebrow at the interesting NPC that had just presented itself. That she didn't expect at all. She lowered the bow, blinking a few times as she loosened her pull, keeping the arrow in place. She opened her mouth then closed it, at a complete loss for words. This man himself was acting like some kind of zombie, so how did they know if he wasn't the cause of the outbreak himself? She shifted her stance, tapping her chin silently. The thought she had probably wasn't what was going on, but she couldn't help but think of the old Resident Evil games, what they had in their plots. She was probably just being paranoid though, something she tended to do a lot. That was the downside of a combination of her history and her knowledge of games, things screamed out at her as needlessly worrisome. She adjusted her stance, keeping her bow in hand in case something bit happened out of nowhere. She tilted her head, looking at the man before them before finally speaking up. "So, where are the zombies and what caused it?" she asked, keeping her questions as generic as possible. She wasn't sure how much effort was put into this AI after all. ▲ 231 ● @kuma zzz ● 1/12 I'm not that great with more than one dialog stream at a time so...

Zee watches from the sidelines as her companions were surprised by the appearance of a dead man, well, undead man, a zombie fella—how boring. She was expecting that the game would come up with something more creative than the broken lord before them. At least he was an actual zombie, in code but still one nonetheless. I'll give it 3 stars. She comes to the conclusion after eyeing the NPC from head to toe, then ignoring him altogether. The defender didn't have to waste her low energy on chit-chat. She was here to uh, defend, kick butt, and pick up loot. She trusts the two girls could handle the info-gathering without her so she passes by the group to tour herself around the ground floor. The walls were dirtied in more ways than one, and the chairs supposedly for guests looked like firewood. The once beautiful painting of the undead lord's family was torn in the middle, and its glass shattered. Honestly, this place was a dump. Zee kicks the rubble. At least it didn't smell so much like one.
She stopped her out-of-place house tour to rest on the grand staircase's steps. Although Kuma warned them not to come into contact with any more junk in case of an infection or worse, it looked harmless—dirty but harmless. "Can you hurry it up?" She asks loudly, the question directed at the owner of the manor. "You don't look like you have all day," which was a terrible joke but she still snorts. God, she was going to fall asleep at this rate. Zee rubs her eyes and yawns, typical.

W O L F can you hear the wind? let us feast on the enemy WORDS --- NOTES 3/12 | Taking a moment to gather herself from her moment of shock, Kuma rose to her feet and cleared her throat. Taking the pocket watch off of the desk the Wolf looked at the Zombie. “We are here to take care of your issue sir.. However I need you to tell me the reason why this all began..” Raising her brow she leaned back against the wall. She watched at Zee made her way around the home’s ground floor. Calista herself remained relaxed in the hall way while her bow was drawn out.
“I am glad you asked..” The man scratched his chin lightly while thinking over what happened. “I do not exactly remember what started this at all. All I remember is being down stairs in my lab before a corpse grabbed and beat me to death. Then I woke up and here I was.. I can’t tell you how many times I have had people come here only to perish.. Please be careful..” The zombie sat up in his chair lightly before looking at Zee with a rather unamused look. “I would—“ The words did not make their way out of his said throat.
The stair quaked before hands broke through grabbing at Zee with desire to destroy. A low rumble quaked through the interior of the house as the floor boards bounced this way and that. The upstairs wasn’t off limits but it wouldn’t be an easy feat going up the steps.
