The dungeon had been a pretty fucking rough ride to say the least. So much so Rex didn't even want to think about it, though his nerves were still high on adrenaline and combat. So when Naomi started to cling to him as they walked to the nearest safe zone, she'd get a few scoffs but Carlo decided to keep his mouth shut and just let the woman do what she wanted.

They needed a break, even he knew that much. If she was looking for something romantic, she was going to have to fight for it, or find a way to really cool this guy off to get that distant affectionate side out. He'd been looking at the ground in thought, hot breath leaving him before his girlfriend was nailed with a snow ball, the soldier flicked his gaze on her with wide eyes, though when he noticed what had happened he couldn't help but laugh.

A group of young boys had been playing around in the snow, and decided the couple was the perfect target practice for their snowball game. Rex was to busy laughing to notice Naomi had hidden behind him, second snowball impacting his face and causing him to growl in distaste before he reached to rub his face dry. “You little shits are asking for it!” He taunted before ducking down and snatching Naomi by the wrist to pull her towards a small hill they could hide behind, the kids were cheering and taunting back at this point.

He'd give the woman a playful grin, “Let's kick their asses, yeah?” Carlo suggested, remembering the snowball fights he'd use to get in as he was younger, and even when he was older with his nieces and nephews. It was hopefully going to bring back...memories, real ones outside this fucking game he wanted to cherish.

...Not like he didn't want to make new ones with her, but it was different. This was like finding a big important truth inside a raging sea of lies. The soldier with or without his lover started to crunch up snow into weaponry, glancing out from their hill to watch the kids as they too made some more Snowballs in the preparation for war!

Luckily his girlfriend gave into the idea of one last snow filled fun event before they could soak up some warmth in a nice cabin somewhere. Sharp teeth grinned out as she prepared the ammo, “Alright princess, don't want yeah chipping a nail or anything.” Carlo teased with a quick look before he sprung out from their cover and flung a snowball at the giggling kids.

They fired back, but he dodged luckily! You could tell Carlo was having fun, but there was always a reserved seriousness in his actions; Like he was always trying when there was a chance to win or lose something. Poor guy was trying to account for 'bullet drop' with snowballs, and thinking heavily on trajectory, once a marine always a marine!

After a few missed attempts, he'd finally land a hit on one of the kid's hats, causing him to groan in frustration before fumbling to a side from the impact. Rex snickered and waited for some more snowballs to be made, “Ha! Got one of you bastards! Go run home to mommy already!” The soldier taunted.

The soldier ducked down a little more when a snowball landed at his front, splashing him with a bit of snow. He snapped a look towards Naomi then, “...You want me to change teams?” He threatened before snatching up one of her snowballs and throwing it towards the kids.

He was having a hard time hitting the much smaller targets, but he did manage to snag another one of the kids with a snowball, causing him to groan in annoyance and wipe away the impact spot. Hopefully they would get tired sooner or later and leave Rex the victor!

Then came a rather devious tactic by the youngsters after a brief huddle of small heads and boyish giggles, they scattered some and one of them stuck his rump over their little fortress of snow. Two gloved hands tugged away his pants to expose rosy red and bare cheeks in a taunt towards the soldier. The boy at his side started to cackle in laughter, tears in his eyes.

Rex frowned with a hiss under his breath, this little fucker was really trying to piss him off! Sure enough he lunged a snowball right at the kid's butt, nailing him. There was a childish squeal and the boy shot forward in a stiff pose as he retreated from the cold.

Though before Carlo had any time to celebrate, he'd be slammed in the cheek with a snowball, the third kid had used it as a distraction to flank their side and charge them! “Shit! Get that little fucker!” Rex muttered under his breath as he scattered through the snow and shoved at Naomi to join the fight.

Rex grinned wickedly when his girlfriend pelted that sneaky little shit with a snowball. He whined briefly before running away towards his friends again, now that his plan had failed. They would return fire once more, but finally the children called it quits and ran off towards the town in a giggling fit.

“Nice! We showed those little brats what for! Heh!” Carlo taunted before he rushed over to pick Naomi up with little warning, sporting a mischievous smirk, “You were real tough there, babe...” Carlo flirted as he leaned in to give the girl a kiss...though before they got to embrace lovingly, he'd toss the woman for the snow!

“Ha! Now I'm the only one left alive!” Rex jokingly taunted before breaking out in a chuckle. But he'd forgotten that Naomi could fly and even make herself virtually weightless, she might not of even hit the ground in the first place! Well at least Rex could get a good laugh out of his betrayal if anything...

Rex was to busy laughing his ass off to notice all the snow Naomi had collected and when she stomped over to get revenge he sprung up straight as a board, holding out both hands in an air push towards the woman, cold sweat collected at his cheek as he frowned pearly sharp whites...

“H-hey babe! Come on it was--” He was splashed in the face with a cover of snow, leaving him limp and chilled to the core. After a few seconds he shook himself dry like a dog and gave the woman a flat and annoyed expression. Maybe it was time to get the hell out of this snow already. With a hiss under his breath he'd turn away and stomp off towards the town.

Luckily they were about to find the holy grail of a warm get away in this winter wonderland; A cozy cabin you could rent! Rex stopped in his brooding pace, flicking his sharp blues on a menu that popped up as they passed the quaint little wooden structure that was just outside the town's borders. He'd look to Naomi shortly after, “No way...you can fucking rent this? Whatcha think?” He asked with mild surprise.

Rex already swatted at the renting option as soon as Naomi gave him the OK, if she wanted to pay him half later she could, but he wasn't about to waste time sorting that out now. He'd take long steps to get himself to the thing's door, opening it up now that he had permission and holding it for his girlfriend, given she was as eager as he was to get inside.

“It already feels warm as hell, and I'm only in the damn doorway.” Carlo sighed out, thinking this could end up being the best money he'd ever spent in this hellish game so far. When they were inside, he'd turn to lock the door so no uninvited guests would come crashing their little hot coco party.

It didn't take the guy but a few seconds to start stripping away armor until he was down to his black tank top with all those exposed tattoos and barefooted beneath his well fitted combat pants. He stretched out his arms at different angles, groaning as his muscles adjusted to the heat. Again this game was far to realistic for his taste...Would his mind and body eventually forget the real world?

Rex broke out into a long yawn when the heat started to warm him into a comfortable coma, exhausted ocean blues slithered towards Naomi as he dragged himself towards the fireplace with a groan, “...'Ight princess, but you're get'n the coco later...” He bargained before lighting up the fireplace with a brief menu interaction from within the game.

After that he'd trot himself lazily over to the couch and flop down with his head in Papi's lap, sprawled out against it's length as he buried his face in the woman's legs. They were alone, and a few of those switches in the soldier's head were starting to flick off and leave him a little more vulnerable. It was a brief look into a side that only she could bring out of him.

It had been one hell of a day out in the snow, and he'd probably live a little happier if he never had to see another giant until he was dead. Mentally he was far more damaged than what he was letting onto; Worrying for Naomi's safety and Sam during that dungeon run had been one hell of a mess...What if he lost one of them?
