A dense musky heat was beating down on the young bespectacled man as he ventured further into the sacred grove. The soft cries of exotic birds and other unidentified creatures could be heard overhead. You never quite knew what may or may not have been watching you in such a wild, untamed region of the game. Relaxing by the comfort of a roaring tavern fire he had heard tales of what dangers lay deeper into the Faywood. Some stories he had passed off as simply boasting from rambunctious lower levelled players. However, there were others yet who told their tales with grave faces, not wishing to be taken lightly. Nonetheless the young man tread lightly through the unknown, all while maintaining the notion that utmost caution was a major priority on his mind.
It was not too long after he had reached a narrow bend in the half-hidden trail he had been following before he managed to catch sight of a bed of toxic spores. "Good, I haven't lost them yet" he thought as his confidence in the trail he'd been following had been reassured. Unfortunately, it was difficult to listen in on his surroundings without hearing a dozen other animals polluting the air with their various noises. No less than an hour earlier the wizard had spotted at least a handful of other adventurers going about the sacred groove on their own business. He had been hoping none would be brash enough to scare off the fabled mushroom men deeper into the underbrush. With a content sigh not wishing to get worked up over matters out of his control he leaned back against what he thought to be a sturdy tree trunk to get a moments rest.
"Ggggghhrrraaaaughhhh!"
A loud ear piecing gutteral cry came from behind him as what he had thought to have been the trunk of a tree leapt up pushing him off. A cloud of the same spores he had been tracking since entering the sacred grove pooffed up as a large mushroom man leapt off into the foliage. Coughing profusely and attempting to cover his mouth with his robes from inhaling any of the toxic spores, the wizard regained his balance and began chasing off after his prey.
"Just my luck one was under my bloody nose the whole time! How the hell did I think that was a tree? Dammit!"

The starchild had been hanging around the holy grounds for a while, quite literally in fact. It was easy to find yourself here, despite how difficult the game's description was. Then again, she could just be incredibly lucky or a genius of sorts; both didn't seem far from the truth. She stretches her arms at that, yawning soon after. The tree's thick branches were definitely not as comfortable as shows made it out to be.
Despite having been in the area long, ZZZ was too much of a sloth to get started with the 90-coins-reward quest. The money was nice but the task at hand wasn't exciting enough to give her a jumpstart. So here she was now, offering unwanted remarks to the poor soul who was already doing the job of criticizing himself. "You're really into this," she says in awe, but it sounded more on the sarcastic than amazed. It's this easy-to-misunderstand characteristic that brings her most of her troubles. She's a hard nut to crack, probably bonkers.
"Why are you so serious?" she inquires, all innocent and curious. ZZZ was sitting now, her legs swinging back and forth in the air. Her left hand helping her keep her balance, while the other was busy awkwardly pounding her back in a bad attempt of a massage.

A little bewildered at his folly, Dream had not noticed another player approach him so suddenly. Awash with more than a little embarrassment he began scratching his brown shaggy locks sheepishly with a worn out smile across his face. He'd hoped she had not seen what had just befallen him. His hair had become matted down with sweat from the immense humidity at hand. A couple droplets streaked down his cheek proving to be a reminder of how heated and tired he'd become from scouring for his objective. "I suppose you could say that. Maybe it's the heat that's just getting to me a little too much. These quests were much easier when I could do them from behind a computer screen".
Eyeing the girl cautiously Dream decided it would be wise to not let his guard down around her. This world wasn't just a game anymore and anyone could be a threat. However, his progress so far on this quest had been very slow and if he wanted to get back to civilisation by nightfall he could probably use a hand. Gleaming with enthusiasm and an inviting smile, he stuck out his hand offering an introduction to the girl. "My names Dream. Who might you be? I could use a hand hunting these pesky mushroom men if you wouldn't mind helping"
It had taken him quite a while to finally catch up to one of his targets and he would sooner shoot himself in the foot than let the mushroom fellow he spotted flee far from his current location. Another trail of spores had been left as the mushroom man had fled through the foliage. Decaying plants were left in the spores wake proving just how potent their toxicity was. Considering how fresh these spores were, and how recently they had been lain to rest on the forest bed, meant it would prove to be an easier time tracking wherever it might have gone. Dream just hoped that it would be dumb enough to lead him to others of its kind so that he might be able to hunt them in one fell swoop.

"Hm, I guess that's true," she considers his words, "but this is more interesting." Playful as always, the defender laughs at her own words. BWO was definitely just that, but to say that being trapped in a digital world and actually dying isn't befitting to be labelled as interesting. In a morbid way, she supposes it would. How fun. While her thoughts went on, she was still watching the stranger—who introduced himself as Dream—slightly entertained. The task at hand wasn't the type most players would be tiring themselves out for, being one of those quick-to-finish ones.
"I'm ZZZ," she says each letter after the other instead of making a buzzing sound. For extra measure, the raven-haired lass pointed at the floating letters over her head. "Call me Zee or Zed, whichever you prefer." She makes a quick swipe in front of her, navigating through her menu. Again, this wasn't going to be an action-packed activity so un-equipping her trench coat would be fine. Plus, polyester was hot to wear, even if the only thing under it was a bikini top and short-shorts. Without warning, she swung both legs forward in one big movement and landed pretty well. She looks back to her makeshift branch bed, measuring the height of it. "Yeah, an 8 out of 10."
Carrying only her double-edged katana at her side, ZZZ passed her newly made companion. She was already making her way to follow the mushroom monster that had flee from the scene. It'd be much more interesting to see the bigger guys. She hopes there are bigger ones. The distance between her and the attacker was around 10 feet now when she spoke again. "Oh yeah," she turns her head to the back, "I'm tagging along."
