| | hex didn't like things that weren't simple. this fight had gone from a complicated three versus five, to and easy dragon slays five, back to a complicated how to kill everyone all at once. the caster just wanted them all to die so she could grab her loot and move on. this would have all been easier if there had been an attacker along with them so hex could have sat back and down none of the work while reaping all of the benefits. instead, she actually had to use her brain for a change and actually think up a plan because her partner didn't seem to have any ideas. well, the dragon was able to take out three of them at once, leaving the other two a ways off. the dragon could theoretically take out the three again, but the other two would be there to just repair once more. it wasn't a very smart idea, but hex had one that could possibly work. "what if your dragon took out these three again, and we beat the other two to death?" it could work. right? |

GIVE ME ALL YOUR ENERGY LOVE ME LIKE AN ENEMY Catharsis glanced back as she mentioned her idea, nodding slowly. "It's worth a shot. If it doesn't work, we'll just have to figure out how to get them all in one place." He really didn't like that idea, but it was where his mind had been taking him before she'd offered any alternative. 2v2 sounded a whole lot better to him, especially if the fighting could distract the remaining robots from repairing their friends. If it didn't, though, they'd be screwed. Not much time to decide, as an arrow shot past him, grazing his cheek. Man, not the face. He shifted Scylla so that she'd be at a good vantage point, coincidentally over the two he wasn't targeted, and ordered another lightning breath attack. The great beast lowered her head and screeched, before exhaling a bright flash of lightning. Once again, it short-circuited the robots like it was nothing, and Cat exhaled. If he hadn't had Scylla, he wasn't sure what they would've done. Almost immediately, he looked down to see the robots begin repairing again and frowned, raising gungnir and throwing the spear at the closest one, striking it through. It didn't do nearly as much damage as Scylla had, but it was worth something if it could just distract it.

| | hex's eyes widen slightly when the man agreed to follow through with her plan. it wasn't that best, and she had been joking around when she said it, but maybe it was one of the only options that they had. the dragon could take care of most of them, but they would have to take care of the other two. there was only one thing she could do. unbuckling the belt that attached her to the dragon, she slid down its side until her feet were firmly planted on the roof. there still wasn't much she could do from this height, but she'd be more useful from here than on the dragon. finding a safe way to the ground would be her best bet, but there was no way to make it down without fear of getting attacked by the enemies. there was also the fact that they were pretty high up; just as when on the dragon, if she fell, she was most likely dead. here would have to be good enough. slamming her broomstick into the ground, she summoned a spell circle of flames. she aimed her body in the direction of the two repairing and swept the attack towards them. it would only hit one, but trapping one was better than trapping none. |

GIVE ME ALL YOUR ENERGY LOVE ME LIKE AN ENEMY He blinked as he heard the seatbelt unhook, turning an eye to keep an eye out for her as she slid down off the saddle. if she decided to up and jump off of Scylla down into the alley, he wasn't sure what exactly he'd be able to do to save her from herself. Thankfully, her feet landed on the roof, and he turned to throw gungnir again as soon as it had reappeared next to him. They weren't killing the robots outright with their own attacks, but they had disrupted them enough to keep them from repairing. Catharsis let out a breath of relief when he saw that none of the other three robots were up again. That kind of luck wouldn't last forever for them. Sweating even as he grabbed the spear that appeared next to him, he angled the dragon to direct towards the other two. One last breath of lightning bowled them over the moment the breath attack came off of cooldown, and for a moment he held his breath, unable to see if they'd even managed to get all of them. It was the ping from his quest log that told him the bounty was done before his vision did, and he leaned over and let out a sigh of relief. "Well, that's over now." He said, looking down at Hex with a grin. He wasn't really sure what else to say about the bounty. It would've been a mess without Scylla, and to be honest, it still kind of had been with her. Not his most impressive moment in Gargantua, that was for sure. "You wanna ride?" He asked. Now that the work part was over, he might as well offer. He'd seen the way she'd looked at the dragon. If she had anywhere she needed to be, she might as well arrive in style, right?

| | it didn't seem to be an issue, as her skill had landed, successfully stopping the two from resurrecting the other three. with another lightning attack from the dragon, all five were wiped out and the bounty was complete. had it just been the two of them, without the help of the dragon, there would have been no way that they killed all five in one go. they would have kept respawning until eventually killing off the utilities if they didn't manage to escape. luckily for hex, it seemed like this man was well prepared for any situation, even if he didn't have attackers and defenders to help him out. hex wasn't even sure he used in skills in this battle besides his barrier in the beginning. what kind of class was he anyways? the caster wasn't that curious, she was more excited by the question that the boy offered her. "of course!" a grin crossed her face as she once more walked up to the dragon to board. it'd be interesting to see gargantua from above. |
