Faust could see Meilin's logic. It did almost worry her that Meilin had decided to come along to this kind of quest all on her own, but she decided just as quickly that Meilin must simply be very smart and very good. There was probably nothing to worry about. Yes, the Asmodeus decided to trust the Duelist to have been entirely capable, not that she had actually studied the class enough herself to know for certain.[break][break]

Now that she was standing in the doorway to the room, however, she was less sure of how she should deal with it. There was nothing to hit, no obvious puzzle laid out that would solve everything. She hummed with a small frown, but jumped when Meilin spoke to her so closely, ears feeling as though the very tips had lit on fire again as she squeaked before covering her mouth.[break][break]

The motion to do so, unfortunately, had caused her hands to knock over a pile of books. She cringed as they toppled over, wincing apologetically towards Meilin. She waited for the other shoe to drop. Maybe the room would start glowing even more, or they'd start hearing zombies coming down the hall. If either of those were supposed to happen, though, they didn't in the few heartstopping seconds that she held her breath in waiting.[break][break]

Okay, maybe this was less fun than she'd imagined.[break][break]

Slowly, Faust trailed forward, before slowly realizing that if there were traps, she wouldn't trigger them. She frowned, before looking back at Meilin. "Be careful for foot traps, I think? I'm not sure." She let the word trail off, uncertain if her thoughts were unnecessary or stupid, but that hadn't stopped her from saying them. Gradually, she moved to the center of the room. Well- it was what they'd wanted them to notice, after all, and most games were fairly straight forward.[break][break]

She wasn't convinced this one would be, though.[break][break]

She read the page, brow furrowed. "... Most of this is gibberish, I think. It's not even latin. Um ..." She continued to skim, trailing a finger down the page without even realizing that it probably hadn't been written with the intention of most players being able to translate it. "Well, that looks like a very clumsy translation, like it's been back and forth through google translate ... Still, I think I could figure it out-" She started, before moving to turn the page. Instead of her being able to do so, the book just knocked over off of the pedestal. Faust jumped, drifting bakwards as the glow in the room began to change color- what could that mean?
