As soon as Noel landed, he instantly moved a little distance away from the boss. He didn’t know how it would react or if it would retaliate but he didn’t want to be close to it when it did. But not long after his attack, another player did the same thing, striking into the beast’s other eyes and blinding it for good. He could feel a giddy smile appear on his face as he watched the troll crouch on the ground and remain still. And as the other players started their assault, Noel instead started to speed back towards Theo and wait to see what would happen.
But before he could make it, he heard a loud bang and a cry, causing him to turn to see seneca take a hit with a club. And before he could react, he saw the other one flying in his direction. With no time to react, Noel flinched and tried to dodge, throwing his weapon in the chance that maybe he would be able to warp away in time. As the javelin soared, suddenly a barrier appeared around him and he watched it take the hit meant for him. The barrier instantly shattered and he was left scrambling away from the club as it fell to the ground next to him. “That was close…” He breathed out and slowly stood up to see. He didn’t know who had casted the barrier but he was grateful. He didn’t know if he could watch his health disappear into the red again…
As everyone continued their assault, Noel turned his attention towards Theo, glancing to see if the other was okay. His eyes caught his figure sprinting towards him and took off as well, his passive ability giving them both a speed boost as they ran towards each other. His movements were way too fast to stop, unable to slow down his boost until he was barreling into Theo. “Sorry!” His hands were clutching his clothes tightly as he managed to keep the two of them upright. “I think I did enough damage to it.” He had a bit of a adrenaline rush from the fight and was almost shaking into theo’s hold. A rush of fear and excitement was going through him as he gave the other a hesitant smile. “It’s about to die soon. Are you okay?”
summary: hardmode off. last post gotta be a shit post. caritas watched seneca take out the other eye before seeing her get hit by the club. he tries to dodge the club but was too slow to dodge. however, he was protected by catharsis barrier. he sees avarice running towards him and meets him halfway.

without waiting to see if magicman followed her, the woman made her way onto the battlefield. there was at least one person who appreciated her buff, and she watched as skadi, the other woman she'd went on the quest with, charged forward and utilized what was given to her.
at this rate, with the beast unmoving and the player's constant attacks, the kingslayer was sure to fall, or so she hoped. maybe when it was in that state it wasn't taking any damage, just storing up energy just waiting to release an attack. hex didn't think so, but she stayed far back all the same. the woman didn't want to take her chances.
this was all one big massive bore fest. of course there were tons of people injured, dead, and barely survived, but look at this fight? a bunch of players attacking a not moving boss? boring. of course the woman was there to just grab loot and run, but they could at least give her a show. with a sigh, she tapped her broom against the ground in a single motion, and the white spirit of a fox came into existence. "go heal those two women." she threw a lazy hand towards seneca and skadi. it's not like they needed it, though. they were fighting against a troll standing still.
summary: hardmode- on. hex is bored and just wants the fight to finish. uses spirit of the fox to summon her healer fox and tells it to go heal skadi and seneca .

his attention hadn’t shifted from noel. even when he heard the sounds of others louder than before, of someone getting hit and others attacking the beast while it stood, stilled and healing from their past assault, theos only concern was noel. he had watched the other attempt to leave and move out of the way of the club coming barreling towards him -- but before his heart could stop theo watched the barrier appear around the other, protecting him of whatever damage would have brought his health down. it was a strange thing to see, flooding him with an even stranger set of feelings. the relief that had set in was mixed with jealousy, tied together by that same, lingering fear that had plagued him since watching noel leave his side.
as he stopped, staring at noel got away -- eyes finding one another through the crowd -- theo smiled, biting back whatever had been brought up just a moment ago. noel was safe and that was all that mattered in the end. he waited until noel started to move towards him, following his action and running. the speed boost made its presence, causing them to close the distance between them faster than before-- and when he felt noels hands grip his clothes to stop himself theo smiled.
there was a brief laugh that escaped his parted lips, his hands finding the sides of noel's face, cupping it gently. he heard the other's voice come through the haze of relief that blurred his thoughts, and with a short shake of his head theo leaned down until their foreheads pressed against each other. “you can’t keep doing this to me,” theo started, his voice low. “you scare me sometimes. you know that right?” there was a hint in his tone, masked by a breathless laugh that pushed the words out and bit back whatever rush that causes his hands to shake. “let's go somewhere safe, okay?”

summary: saw catharsis shield caritas from the attack petty jealousy ensured but w/e. ran up to noel and well -- just gay. honestly he did nothing to help at all in this raid, but really that doesn't matter we all just want our three posts am i right
