Just as she had been, Towns also was constantly growing and learning. Most people he could hardly stand, either because they just didn't like him or because they were too idiotic for him. It was a real pain for him lately, so the moment that he heard the familiar voice it lightened his mood. A smile creepy across his face as he turned to face Noel. "What's a cute little girl like you doing in a place like this?" He teased right back at her, although a little ashamed that she noticed him trying to look cool.

She was like him, the raven haired boy lurched forward a moment awkwardly. He wanted to hold her close again, even if it was for a moment. But he restrained himself, his smile dissipating for a moment. Blowing it off as he turned his head back to the manor. "We always meet in the worst of places... with bad weather was well..." Before lifting his head to the sky, letting the water pellets drop onto his face. It was all bad timing, one day they could have a normal moment together. She was right however, they had a bounty to collect. 

"The thing to do today is take care of one of those things, and if I had to bet, its the one actually moving." Towns spoke as he pointed to the front entrance of the manor. When they first came here it was easy to miss, now it became clear as day that one of the darkened stone gargoyles was alive. Its fanged maw now shut closed and fidgeting wings gave it away. "But... if I may..." He asked for permission as he looked down towards his 'pupil' as he once called her. Slinging his rifle back over his shoulder and brushing his wet mess of hair out his face, he came close to Noel.

Almost uncomfortably close, his own heart rate quickening just a step as approached her. His seriousness softening as he reached down towards her waist under her cloak. "It's good to see you..." Towns paused as his hands clasped around her. His head dipping down to be close to hers, he was ready for it. But it would be up to the girl how this would be, if it was just going to be a tight hug or...

She didn't have to take much of hint for what he was planning. The kiss was pleasant, but short lived as she was the one to pull away. She could easily feel Towns pushing forward a little, indicating that he didn't want to stop. Noel was clearly the more level headed one on this mission. He gave a low chuckle while his hands slowly pulled away from her waist. "I missed you too, but you are right. The sooner we get this done...the sooner we can get some real alone time." She could take that for what it was worth, the Sharpshooter stepped back now. He kept his focus now on the mission. 

Towns looked with a inquisitive face at their circumstance. There was only one they had to take care of, and they hadn't arggo'd it yet. So there was ample time for the two to strategize. "You don't have some sort of golem to block attacks or like something really strong to shoot with right?" He asked, seeing if there was anything new she had picked up in their time together.

Whatever playful teasing he had tried finally broke to her. Her stammered expression caused a burst of laughter. Laughter from Towns, something he hadn't done in a very long time. His outburst was earnest and innocent, but it was short lived as he soon composed himself. Focus on the mission, Brandon. She drew his attention, and it drew him in close. Resting behind her, curiously peeking down at her book. "It looks like just a bunch of jib- Oh!"

He exclaimed as she summoned a golem, much smaller then that of what he was used to. It was a shock enough to pull him away from where he had rested his head on her head. "Neat." The sharpshooter commented as he drew his rifle finally. She seemed ready enough as it was, with that notice Towns held rifle up. A cool focus washing over his face as Noel could watch him be a intimidating sniper she once saw him as. A low inhale, a pause, before the first crack of thunder like gunfire rang out. Catching the side of the gargoyle he had identified, it turned but made now sudden movements. 

Instead the stone monstrosity slowly turned back to face Towns, its dead hollow eyes lighting up in red. A half a moment passed before his jaw suddenly unhinged, letting out a gravelly screech. It was enough to ring the sharpshooter's ears, but his gaze was un-moving. He had fasted worse, and yet the gargoyle beat its wings and begin to rize above its pillar. "Better get ready to guard..." Towns warned as he started lining up his next shot.

At his own request, Noel was perfectly timed. Allowing a wall of scrap golems to cover their front, a good defense for the sniper to start taking his shots. He hadn't expected the cover to be so expansive so he hesitated on his next shot. Wiggling over to the small gap between the two golems for his vantage. The gargoyle was preparing still, even it had its full attention now on Towns. 

The raven haired boy took his eyes off of the bounty to look back to Noel. "Testing? I don't know if that is quite that.." He said with a pause as he heard a large crack, almost akin to the shattering of stone. Towns moved his vision back to where it once was. Only to flinch and duck his head as a large chunks of rumble smashed into the face of the golem. The gargoyle had torn its non living counterpart and chucked it at them! "Yeah, I don't think it is testing us!" He retorted to the girl he cared for, before hugging the receiver of his rifle and firing a cripple shot at the thing.

Towns was once again disappointed with his lack of damage. A minimal amount taken off its health bar from the sharpshooter's auto attack. It was bit frustrating, however that was what he got from holding off on getting better gear for such a long time. The young player was quickly being thrown into the meat grinder with his three previous raids. They shouldn't have too much worry however as Noel kept protecting them.

He looked on with baited breath as Noel kept a focus on trying to weaken it with golems. For as much as he had doubted silently about her little golem friend on her back, it was really the useful tool. She continued to pull golems from seemingly nowhere and making the gargoyle unable to continue it's assault on the scrap golem barrier. "It seems to do enough though. I just need to line this up if you can hold it still..." He said as he closed one eye behind his scope. Activating his tried and true Kill Zone, Towns efficiently chipped away at the stony exterior of the thing. It gave another ear ringing screech as the damage was starting to take hold.

This fight was extremely simple for what it was worth, and the entire time Towns had gone untouched. She may have been just a level below what he was, and yet her power was truly a remarkable thing. Perhaps the golems could grow even stronger once she got to max level, who knew what her ceiling within this game was. Towns was assured victory all thanks to Noel by his side. 

In the downpour of rain, his ears ringing and becoming more painful, he felt a large shove as the gargoyle crashed into the golem he hid behind. Causing it to start to crumble and peel away in front of his eyes. "No, you're doing fantastic!" he replied as he quickly rushed over to the adjacent golem that Noel hide behind. In hurried breath, he watched the gargoyle beginning to claw and rend the scrap golem to bits, not much more time left before it would start coming for him. "I'm gonna say something kind of important in just a second alright?" Towns took a deep inhale as he heard the flapping of wings coming closer and closer. "Noel..." The sharpshooter paused, another tease for a moment before shifting out of cover. The red eyes of Fornar cutting right to him, a loud ear piercing yell disgruntled him as Towns raised up his rifle to its maw merely a few feet away. 

"I really..." He paused once more as he re-chambered his rifle again and again. Hot steam beginning to rise from the barrel of Brandon's rifle as he continuously pelted the thing. The creature didn't let his assault go unnoticed as he quickly stomped its way towards the sharpshooter. "Come on you piece of-" Brandon was cut off short as one of Fornar's razor like claws slashed open his chest! Wincing through the pain as his health was depleted by half, he activated his Kill Zone. Now dead ahead of this thing as it looked ready to bite the head off the one Noel cared so much for. Its blackened eyes full of fury and blood lust until it suddenly collapsed, dead atop of Brandon with a loud thud.
