young soul Nex's eyes widened when he heard what Wis' was talking. If what he said was true, the. His Binder class could really come in handy right now. It was confusing after first as he watched Wis' only be on defense. It angered Nexon that he couldn't come up with it first, it was so simple. He thought about it before that the plan was to lrotect and not kill, but not on the level of thinking Wis' was on. If distracting the beast and not killing it could pause the wave, then maybe there's a chance that it might work. If not then not only would they have to fight the strong goblin, but also more monsters. At the end of the day, Nexon trusted Wis' decision. "Alright, I'm in. What else do you got to lose? Let's do it. I'm all good now, I could use my chains to bind the goblin while you rest for a while. I'm ready."The Binder would move closer in range toward the goblin. His tattoos began to move around on his bidy, they were ready to bind once in range of the goblin. " I'll try to bind it for as long as possible, but I'm positive it will be enough to bind it for a while to take time off the timer." Once in range, all six chains moved on their own toward their target. It had to be enough to completely restrain the goblins movements to waste time. The six chains started off in the middle of it's body before wrapping around the whole body, squeezing it tight. The Binder struggled to make sure he doesn't mess uo, only focused on keeping the monster binded. If it didn't work, then his partner was still their to save the miners on time. There were actually doing pretty good on this quest, not a single miner has been damaged. They might just complete it with a breeze, which out a smile on the Binder's face. The player would knee down while the chains binded the goblin there. "There I got a hold of him, it will buy us so time to waste the clock and test out your theory. So, Wis', how's life been treating you?" A pretty strange question considering the face they're stuck in a video game, but he needed something to do so he doesn't bore himself to death. Nexon could feel he was going to go on one million times more dangerous missions in the future, by then he'll be more experienced in taking and figuring out quests. For now it was best to learn the basic functions of the game before making up plans to beat it. His first goal was to form a party, a class like his wasn't great alone. He's not sure if Wis' was going to be a permanent partner or not, probably just collect the reward and leave. That would devastate Nexon. His first ally leaving him since he's still a newbie on the game, all alone in this scary ass world with no directions on what to dk. [/div]

Wist let out a breath of relief when the other said that he would go with it. Of course, Wist really didn't want to continue fighting strong monsters that could end up killing them, but if the other didn't agree then he really didn't have much choice. Groups only worked if everyone was on the same page after all, so hearing the other agree really made Wisteria feel a whole lot better.
"Pretty much just that. I can probably kill it off quickly now with it's low health so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle." he said before backing off when the other said he was ready to take over. Sure enough the same chains as before came and started to wrap up the creature so Wist could take a break for a little to regain his strength, or rather his defense, before anything else could possibly show up. Don't push yourself too far, I'll take over whenever you want me too again." he said before moving in front of the tunnels where other waves had come from.
"I'll stand over here just in case a new wave comes. " he said before taking the same idea the other had to sit down for the moment with his blade in his lap for a quick draw and jump if necessary. His hearing skill was pretty high though so he should be able to sense a monster before it got too close and his summoning would be up shortly and that would help as he had the perfect monster in mind for a hold out like this. A small laugh came however when the other asked how his life had been.
"Well for being trapped in a game this world is rather nice, even if it doesn't beat actually going home." he said for a moment before running a gloved hand through his locks. "I think Faywood Village is my favorite place so far as it's mostly quiet and peaceful when you aren't thrown into any quests that is." he said with a chuckle.

young soul The Chains from the Binder's body continued to grip onto the goblin's body and restrain it's movements. Out of all the classes, Nex enjoyed the Binder class the most. Later on in the game he's going to meet players with very strange classes, but so far the Binder class had fit him the best. The best way to finish the mission was to hold the current monster down and waste time until the miners were safe and the mission was done. The tattoos on his body would move around in a weird pattern as the goblin struggled to break free from the chains. "For A computer, you're pretty stubborn. In real life we call shits like you bulls." He chuckled, all was going well for the duo, but he shouldn't let his guard down. The chains would press down on the goblin even more to keep it from moving to buy them more time, putting a lot of energy into doing so. It wouldn't be long before Nexon could no longer keep the chains holding up. "Never been there. I'm still confused on how this world works so I stayed in the town of Origins for a long time just to be cautious. I don't want to head out too soon in the game before dying, I'm just building up my confidence." Broken War was a beautiful world, full of stuff that not even the most imaginative person could dream of. If they weren't fighting for their lives everyday, maybe players would actually have the chance to go exploring and view the world in a whole new way. Nixon's back up plan in case he doesn't beat the game was to settle down and shopping going on missions, maybe open up a shop for making weapons. There was no point in risking your life if you never going to win, but Nex had faith in his abilities to keep on trying. There's going to come a time where he's going to have to put it all on the line to see his family and friends again. Nexon could actually visualize his mother's reaction when she found out her son was trapped in a video game on the bed of his college dorm. Funny how she was always the one to yell at him to play outside more and stop playing video games, now he wished he had actually listen. All of that thinking had distracted the Binder from his one job: to keep the goblin restricted. The chains would slowly slide off the goblin's body retracting back to Nexon's body and reverting back into tattoos. The goblin was now free. "Shit! I'll distract it for a while, sorry for the mistake." Nexon said as he unsheathed two daggers in attempt to draw the goblin's attention away from the miners. Unfornatluety, Nexon was not it's target. As he made his way closer, the goblin would continue it's way towards the miners and away from Nex' s range. His feet slid across the cave's ground before slipping onto the ground in a desperate attempt to stop the goblin on time. "Wis', watch out!"[/div]

Wist had actually momentarily forgotten that they were in the middle of a quest, in fact - he was pretty sure that even now he could probably relax here. Listen to his partner talk and thing about what kind of world this place was, and what it could be. Broken War was supposed to be the best game of this year and Wist could tell why it had been rated that way, the game itself was good - really good - they just hadn't expected actually being trapped in a game where you could die if your life bar hit zero.
It was a shame really, this game could have gone a lot of places, and people could have respected gamers a little bit more if only they had given it a shot. Now Wist hopped that no new players had gotten themselves killed in this death game. "I can understand that, it's a really beautiful world, a lot of towns. A little different from normal rpgs though, normally the floors change after you complete levels. This one seems like the main floor won't change though.. just the endless dungeon." it was an interesting twist he would admit and one he could become accustomed to.
At least that was what he thought until suddenly the ground started shaking at the movement of something. Yellow orbs suddenly glanced to where the other had been and saw the goblin heading his way. "Shit." he hissed suddenly jumping up as blue glyphs started to form around his hands. Perfect! "Call of Summoning!" he called as a different monster formed this time a bat that was a bit bigger than normal that hovered right above his head.
"Quickly! Special Summoning ability - Screech!" he called. The bat quickly darted forward as the goblin raised its weapon to bring down on the miners. "Cover your ears Nex!" he called as the bat started to glow before loud noises started to vibrate off the walls and the goblin was suddenly stunned by the noise inches before he managed to attack the miners. Perfect timing.
Wist quickly shot forward and sent a quick roundhouse kick to the stomach of the goblin to throw it back away from the miners and unfortunately make it fall on its ass causing the ground to shake from such a huge creature falling down. "That was close, but no worries Nexeon, everyone makes mistakes once in a while." he said with a small laugh before falling on his butt from the stress of almost losing this quest.

young soul The Binder slammed his first against the ground in anger, it's always his fault. Mistakes like that could get people killed in this game. His partner had saved the day by stopping the goblin from reaching the miners on time, again. Nexon felt like an nuisance, watching the goblin fall along with his partner. The game was playing mind tricks on the homesick Nexon. If he doesn't stay focus, he might never see home again. "Wis', I'm sorry. Mistakes should not happen at all. Especially here! I'm not goi bf to die to some stupid ass computers." The player would whip out four daggers, two in each hands. No more playing aroumd, no more getting cocky and doing reckless stuff. That's just something he couldn't afford to lose, he's not gonna let the game get the best of him. Not in front of Wis', a player who had deserved the rights to be where he was at now. "Just This game wait, I'm going to make it to the final floor and bash some skulls in." Making a mistake only fired up Nex' s fuel even more, to compete more with a better performance. In order to get better you need a high work rate. He heard Wiseteria's warning, reacting as fast as possible. The Binder covered his ears with his hands as he pressed down as hard as possible to mute out the screech. Nex could hear a little bit of the screech while blocking his ears, it sounded painful. He had shit eyes tight when the bat screamed, it was too much to bare. By the time it was over, Nex was back on his feet with the daggers still in his hands. Nexon missed the chance to see his partner take out the goblin. The first his eyes spotted was Wis on the floor, assuming something awkward had happen for him to be sitting on the floor. It was close to being almost over, Nex could feel it. The reward at the end of the quest was going to be so sweet, plus he learned a lot on the quest to help him with future quests. It was stl uncertain whether or not a new wave was coming, assuming the goblin had finally fall to it's doom. Nexon stood still for a moment with daggers in his hands, preparing himself mentally. He's not sure if a new wave was still approaching or not. The timer was almost there, they were almost there. The Binder's heart rate began to increase with all the excitement, there's a chance he might complete his first quest without dying. That's a pat on the back for new players, showing the path to soon becoming a great enough player to beat the whole game. The player inhaled before looking back at his partner. He wanted to laugh when he fell on his ass, but it wasn't the time to do so. Maybe one day when Nex meet him again he could tell stories at a local Inn to people about how heroic Wis' was and ended up falling on his ass. With a slight chuckle escaping his lips, Nexon made his way over toward his partner to give him a hand. "Good job, thanks for cleaning up my mess." His eyes shifted over toward the goblin Wis' had defeated. Was the plan to keep the monster alive and stop new waves done? It was the only way to stop the monsters from attacking the miners. They were on a roll, not a single miner has been attacked. Not even the ones they weren't suppose to protect were harmed. "Does that mean a new wave is coming?" Nex had to be sure, his partner had more knowledge and experience about the game than he did. [/div]

Wist was glad for his level of enthusiasm but when you were over confident bad things tended to happen, bad things he did not want to happen. It was already clear that getting distracted was a bad idea as the goblin had almost managed to hit the miners that were busy going away at their work. The one that had almost gotten hit even seemed to sweat a little and give a thank you to both of them for saving him before he turned and went diligently back to his work.
Geez, this game was a pain in the ass and really - Wist wanted to take a long break after all of this nonsense. It was saddening however that after he had stopped the creature and kicked it away it seemed to be enough to put its health to zero, which meant plan A had been ruined. A small groan came from the attacker as he just sat on the ground for a moment knowing that a new swarm would be coming any minute now. It was a pain, but with the clock still ticking they really didn't have much choice here.
That was at least what seemed to be the case as his partner came over and offered a hand to which Wisteria took and let him help him up. "Yeah, no problem. I'm just tired." he said with a sigh as he used his assistance to get back up to his feet once more. At his question however Wisteria brushed himself off and put his sword away for the moment. Nothing had come yet, but that didn't mean it wouldn't. "I'd assume the worst, so most likely yes I would assume so. " he said nodding to the other.
He moved his hand to touch the bat as it landed on his shoulder instead. "For now take a moment to breathe, cause it will probably take a moment for the last wave to spawn, and it will most likely be worse than the other ones before it."

young soul A cheeky grin appeared across the player's face after hearing what Wis' had said about the last wave. It was because of the timer, just a few more minutes left on the timer. Whatever that was spawning, they technically didn't have to defeat it, just waste the rest of the time out. "I'm sorry Wis', but I just can't help myself." Whatever that was coming, Nex refused to hold back on it. Even if the monster managed to overpower him, it would probably be too late to kill him once the time was up. The minutes left of the timer gave him confidence, too much confidence. "I'm saying sorry now in advance for what might happen after the last wave come. For once let's actually enjoy this game. Isn't that what games are for? Pure entertainment. Time is in our side, so after we're done resting let's give this final wave everything we got. Are you with me, Wis'? I'm not going to do it if you're not, I'm not going to let my confidence get you killed. So I'll do it if you want to." After everything thing Did had done, it would be selfish of Nex to ruin all of it. Nexon's plan was to take on as many monsters as possible in the last wave until time was up, but a plan like that could be risky. In order for a team to be great, they must first be on the same page. Nex was willingly to follow his ally's directions, since he was more of an expert than he was in quests. If what Nex was thinking a bad idea, then he expected Wis to knock some sense into him. Nexon had not used his triumph card skill yet, so far his most useful skill when combining his class and weapons. A skill that was still not fully ready to use yet, but his eagerness got the best of him. The Binder dropped all six of his daggers onto the grohnd, waiting for his partner's say in what he was about to do. Nexon was glad that he had a partner like Wis' to balance their team out. If he had a partner as cocky and eager as he was, they would've rushed the first wave and got the miners killed, then died on the second wave from exhaustion. The Binder sat down beside Wisteria, inhaling the fake air around him. "Thank you, Wis'. For everything you've done for me. After this quest is over, I hope we cross paths again. You might see a whole knew me, stronger physically and mentally. That would be nice. For all we know, this next time we meet might be on the next floor. Nexon would then mainly focus on resting, it's been a tough quest. His first quest was going well, it made him feel great. To be here and still alive, that's a huge accomplishment. [/div]

Wisteria could understand what the other was saying, but being so eager really did worry him. He was in this game to have a good time, but at the same time he didn't want to waste his sense by being too risky and getting them killed. It wouldn't be fun if you died, so that was definitely off the menu for today. Still, the white haired beast tamer knew what the other meant and what he wanted to do even as he apologized. Thankfully it also seemed he was willing to listen to his side of it just like Wist had done for him during his risky plan earlier.
Wist was grateful and he let out a sigh momentarily. Yellow orbs glanced down the different tunnels and wondered what really awaited them on the last and final wave. He really thought about it, hard, taking more than a moment to actually think through what the other had said. Finally he seemed to have made a decision and moved his weight slightly from one leg to the other placing a casual hand on his sheathed blade. "Alright, I'll attack all out with you, but only on the premise if our health bars get low then we switch to defense. And if it gets to the point that our health bars drop into the red we sacrifice the miners. " he finally looked over at the other. "Fair enough?" he asked.
With that said Wist took guard as the other sat down as he had instructed to rest until Wist caught wind that the last wave was coming. Wist however was surprised when the thanks came next, golden hues turning back to look at the other. "Yeah, I hope we can cross paths again. Just keep in mind the things I told you today. No game is worth being killed over. So don't rush into stuff to quickly without figuring it out first okay? I don't want to hear that you've died before I'm able to see that you've gotten stronger."
With that he started to pace now waiting for the next swarm to come and sure enough he could feel the light shaking of the ground. "It's coming!" he called as monsters started to race down three different hallways. One filled with 5 wolves, one filled with 2 large goblins and the other filled with about 10 bats. Damn this was going to be a pain. "Call of Summoning!" Wist called as a second glyph formed and a wolf that was slightly bigger than the current ones appeared. He would need both for this.
"I'll take the goblins you take my wolf and use it as you want. Let's teach this game it can't keep us down." he said before rushing forward after the goblin delivering the first hit as his bat quickly flew to distract the other gobling while Wisteria took care of the first one. Meanwhile just as the wolf had appeared from his summoning, his new ability - Call of the Tamer activated giving Wisteria a speed boost and making any enemies slower. It would sure give them an upper hand while they were fighting so many.

young soul Nexon couldn't control the excitement building up inside of him any longer. His partner had agreed to his plan to fight til the timer was done, something Nex dreamed of doing. Nex nodded as a response to his ally's wise words. "Just waitI'm going to be the one showing you the ropes some day." His mindset was to pull an all out attack to take as many down as possible before any of the monsters had the chance to touch a single miner. The Binder was also amused watching Wisteria's class in action, it even motivated him to try even harder. The player could also feel the ground shaking, that only meant that there were tons of monsters heading their way. He's not going to let his partner down after he had given him permission to go all out, that's something unforgivable. Nexon had everything planned out the moment he gave Nexon the OK. It was time to show Wis' how useful he truly was. The tattoos would slide around his body at a fast pace, that meant the activation of his favorite ability. Nexon collected the six daggers he had tossed on the floor earlier, they were the main component to his skill. The monsters had finally arrived, all coming out of three separate tunnels. The tunnel Nex was locked on was the one the wolves were heading out of. "Wait for it.." His partner had already begun his assault on the other monsters, giving the Binder one of his beasts for assistance. "That's fine, I won't need it. I recommend it stay away from what I'm about to do. Once the wolves were near the end of the tunnels ready to burst out in attack, Nex launched all six daggers at the same time over the tunnel. Once the daggers were airborne, the Binder rushed toward the tunnel's exit to meet the wolves. His tattoos would spread around his body even faster now, they were also as eager as he was to fight. It all came down to this.
Six chains exploded from Nexus body at a fast rate. Their targets weren't the wolves but the six daggers in the air. The chains binded the daggers before randomly swinging back and forth for momentum. The more the chains swung, the faster the daggers were going. It was at the speed that at one point it appeared like a thin line of black strings were manipulating the daggers movements. It was like rain as the daggers poured down on the five wolves. The pace of the daggers was amazing, one dagger could land one cut on five different wolves at the same time. If they were stronger, it would've been more difficult to pull the move off. The attack rate was so powerful the data was just chilling off the wolves bits by bits in a matter of seconds. The force of each dagger crashed against the fur of the wolves to tear off even more data from thwm. The goal of the skill was to take out as many enemies as fast as possible before they manage to attack you. Two wolves had already turned into data before fading away by the time the skill was in the middle of it's phase. The less wolves, the more daggers that could be used on another. It was painful to watch it the wolves were actually real and watching up close. Luckily the data had subistuted as blood for them as watching blood paint the ground would've been more disturbing to view. Another wolf bit the dust. The chains had begun to slow down it's movements as it was now six against two. Three daggers for each wolf.
This time the chains had wrapped around the wolves, squeezing them tighter as the daggers closed in. The daggers were being dragged towards the wolves, the chains almost stopping like thread leaving clothes. The daggers dug into the bodies of the wolves, scattering data everywhere in the cave. The daggers fell to the ground as the chains reverted back into tattoos, it took a lot out of him to perform that type of skill. Nexon whistled for the wolf beast to go aide his summoner while he rested before going to also help Wisteria fight the others monsters.

The white haired attacker doubted that the other would exactly show him the ropes later as he obviously had more experience than he - but he didn't say anything about it. Wist wasn't the type of person to purposely ruin someones dream or say something mean when it could be avoided. If dreaming that one day he would be able to show Wist the ropes kept him from doubting himself, and living another day in this game then Wist would gladly let him believe it.
When the monsters started to appear and Wist gave over his wolf, he still was worried about the other but told the wolf to stay back in case he was hit by the others attack. Even with him dealing with the goblin's he managed to catch most of what the other was doing and he had to admit it was pretty useful. Still, Wist knew that he had a long way to go and there was always more to learn but for now he would let the other dream and live like this was the last - because the truth was it very well could be.
The goblins were a pain in the butt as Wist managed to destroy the first one after taking one or two hits from the two of them together, his life bar went down slightly but not enough to hit yellow. It would restore on its own and Wist wasn't too worried at the moment. With one down he quickly directed his bat and his wolf that wasn't being used on the other bats that were coming from the other direction. "Special Summoning Skill - Screech!" he called.
This time the bat used the ability but both Wist and Nex were far enough out of the way it wouldn't really affect them. The other bats however started flying all over the place as the wolf quickly followed suit jumping up and sinking it's teeth into any bat that flew too low and managed to kill quite a few of them. Wist would have to remember that later for a team up attack. Paying attention to them did cost him a bit more hp as the goblin he had landed a blow on him as his health bar tipped into yellow for a moment before Wist jumped back for a moment moving to defense till it entered green again.
It felt like they had been fighting a lot longer than a few minutes before suddenly any monsters left instantly broke into fragments of data. Wist was confused for a moment before huge bold letters appeared in front of his sight.
QUEST COMPLETE!
Wist let out a sigh and moved to put his sword away turning to Nex before giving a smile. "Congrats on finishing your first quest." he said offering his hand in a shake. After doing so he looked at the rewards they had received and nodded his head. It was a good amount of stuff considering how well they had done. "Well that was fun, but I think I'll head back to Faywood and sleep for the rest of the day." Wist however sent a small message to Nexon with his contact information.
"Here I'll give you this, just message me if you need any help alright? Hopefully I'll see you later." he said before closing his menu and heading back out the caverns. Man, the sun was going to hurt after being in the dark so long.

young bull Nexon took a breather once the timer was finally up, that meant the end of the quest. The player would pick up the daggers that were left on the ground before yawning. The quest felt like it's been going on for years, but it's finally all over. His first quest was a success, and he also made a new friend. Seeing the bold words quest complete made him relax his muscles, always so tensed in horrible situations. "Yeah, I'm going to be rest too. It was nice meeting you and stuff." After the quest Nexon would look for an inn to go take one long was nap after the say he just had. Nex grinned as his partner had sent him his contact information, it was nice knowing that if he every was in danger he could call up a person as experienced as Wis'. The Binder played it off cool, not trying to seem to newbish. Nexon patted the backs of all the NPC miners they had protected before following suite behind Wisteria out of the caverns and into the the opposite direction of him. He continued back to his inn to rest. [/div]
