Scholars, historians, the world had various purposes for those coveted for their knowledge. Lorekeepers are a hybrid tank class that boasts a commanding frontline bulk with capable spell support that augments other vanguard units. As surveyors of events, they are skilled in inscribing magical glyphs that can cast solo or party spells improving combat capabilities or resistances to various topics. Unique to the Lorekeeper is the ability to apply the GLYPH status and establish runic circles to provide empowered effects to existing spells. This often comes at the cost of replacing the base spell effects, so Lorekeepers often need to manage their application of GLYPH during the course of battle. [break][break] For a spell heavy skill tree, Lorekeepers are surprisingly bulky in both physical and magical defense. They lack overall offense power until later in their builds, making the class one of the most difficult in Broken War Online to solo as. Their role is to maintain the longevity and effectiveness of other defense units, while affording time for the other jobs to successfully perform their duties. |

Lorekeeper spells apply GLYPH after cast, granting bonuses or replacing effects for stronger variants. GLYPHS last for a moderate amount of time without reapplication. If a new spell is cast on the same target, unless the effect of the spell says otherwise, it will refresh the effect time of the applied GLYPH back to three. GLYPHS are considered a buff and can be dispelled like any other boon.

Runes also carry the ability to be transcribed into circles, serving as a conduit for a variety of effects. Having unlocked this skill grants the Lorekeeper the ability to use Circle spells.

One of their iconic skills, SEARCHLIGHT, can change the target of aggression of nearby enemies to a different ally target. Capable of being cast on one target or multiple, SEARCHLIGHT applied taunt targets are signaled by a large white glyph that forms at the bottom of the feet of the target. The applied taunt lasts moderate amount of time and applies one GLYPH on the party.

If the target has a GLYPH applied, the user gains the ability to guard all incoming damage of one type for the entire party instead of the previous effect for a short amount of time. This ability consumes all applied GLYPH per target affected by SEARCHLIGHT.

Lorekeeper selects a main target and increases all allied units within 20m of each other's resistances to an element by 50%. Incoming elemental damage of the cast spell is reduced. Cannot be stacked with multiple instances of the same element (i.e Pyre Guard's effects do not stack). ANIMA GUARD can reduce the damage from the following elements: Fire (Pyre Guard), Water (Tidal Guard), Wind (Atmos Guard), Electricity (Surge Guard), Earth (Clay Guard). Applies one GLYPH to the main target of the spell. Anima Guard has a long duration rate to compensate for its inability to be stacked.

If any of the allied targets have GLYPH. it is consumed and they gain the following effects depending on what which guard was cast:[break]
- PYRE GUARD: For a moderate period of time, the party's vision range and clarity is doubled.
[break] - TIDAL GUARD: Party recovers a small amount of MP
[break] - ATMOS GUARD: For one instance (or a short amount of time has passed), user is takes no damage from basic, non-magical projectile attack. i.e arrow, gun fire, etc.
[break] - SURGE GUARD: For a moderate period of time, slightly increases the likelihood that target ally will successfully proc a counter attack.
[break] - CLAY GUARD: For a moderate period of time, user recovers a small amount of HP when successfully guarding or parrying attacks.
