The asmodeus was delighted when the woman agreed, laughing as she swung her legs in the air before announcing, "Then it's settled!" She looked down at the chubby goat tucked into her arm and booped it on the snout with the tip of her finger. It was with a saddened sigh, as if full of regret, that she spoke next. "A deal is a deal, then. I suppose it's goodbye." She lifted the kid into the air, laughing as it bleated. "Don't worry. You're going right back to a loving home."[break][break]
The woman actually floated down to stand on her feet for once, setting down the goat and waving and breathing a contented sigh as it hopped off towards home. "Bye bye!" Without any hesitation, she floated back into the air to turn to the woman, happy about the deal that had been struck. "Was that all you needed to happen, or do I need to leave before you get your reward?" She was peripherally aware of the fact that the woman could just unfriend her later at any time, so she planned on sticking to her side for just a while longer if she could get away with it.

Finally she was more or less freed from the quest now that it was going to be completed. Taking a few steps back to make way for the demon's landing, Meilin waved good-bye to the chubby goat baby. Unlike it's brother, it was too chubby to prance properly back home, resorting to small bounces. She chuckled as the clumsy kid fell over, recovering almost instantly. Luckily, the NPC who had issued the quest was still hiding nearby. She watched as he hugged the fat kid to his chest, snuggling his face into it with a warm smile. He walked away without another word. In his place, a quest window popped up right on queue, alerting her that she had officially completed the quest. Like always, Meilin took a few seconds out of her time to read over the details. She nodded at the acceptable quest rewards totalling up to a good amount of cash. Eighty dollars was nothing to sneeze at considering she had luckily, spent only fifteen minutes negotiating. " I was rewarded," she replied, " you don't have to leave if you don't want to." Meilin didn't immediately dismiss her, in fact telling her she didn't have to leave. As far as Faust was concerned, that was an invitation to stay. The asmodeus floated and folded her hands into her makeshift lap while she waited, but the woman sure took her time. She blinked, having never seen anyone take this long to read something unless, well, they were her. Strange. Was she ... actually reading the fine print? [break][break]
Maybe she was just a slow reader, or maybe the quest or whatever other notice had popped up was very interesting![break][break]
As quiet as she could, Faust leaned just slightly and tried to float around Meilin. There was no concern at all for respecting boundaries or Meilin's privacy as she came to float just above the woman's shoulder, eyes widening as she read the quest and laughed. "Oh, wow! You could buy me dinner with that." It'd be fair in her eyes. After all, Meilin would never have received the quest if not for her!

A feeling of imminent dread was casting over her. Oh, no, no, no. She did not earn this money to be used up on feeding another person. A person, a person that she had just met and was not getting anything out of -- she already had her use. The duelist's short-lived happiness and freedom had come to an abrupt stop as her mind worked away. What would happen if she was to say no? Would this hellspawn go back to stealing baby goats? Would she be damned to all eternity doing the same quest? It had hit her that there was no telling what Faust would do if she was rejected. Meilin swallowed hard as clips of 'what if' scenarios played out in her mind. No matter what solution she came up with, it had it's flaws -- flaws that could ruin her life. As important as money was to her, it was painfully worth it to take the asmodeus out to dinner. One time. That was it.
